We stopped here for lunch for the first time as it is always busy. It is a seat yourself place and the service is excellent, fast and very friendly. The ambiance is that of an old diner. I don't mind a diner feel at all but I think my biggest issue is that it did not seem very clean. I sat next to a corner and a windowsill and there was a lot of dust and dirt and spider webs and that threw me off. The food arrived quickly, we had sandwiches, one with fries and one with onion rings. The food was decent and portion side is good and the price is excellent. Is it worth a stop, yes if you want friendly fast service and diner food at a good price and can look beyond the rest. read more

Service was good but when the cheesesteak came out the cheese look like it was wax or plastic like a knock off kraft slice. The waitress should have warned us that the cheesesteak comes like that with the cheese melted right on top not even in with the steak. My Friend said it was the worst meal he ever had and I couldn't agree because I sent mine back and didn't order anything else. 10 out of 10 would not recommend and I'm never going back. read more

Yet we had a server tell us that we were not nearly as important as her illegal Latino customers that come in there. Another visit after another trip to the beach. This time we had lunch offerings. I picked the turkey club which comes with fries, soup of the day, coleslaw and pickle. This place is so tight you have to suck your stomach in to get pass 1 person. There was a dead roach under my table... The food was cold and the meat was like chewing rubber. Bathrooms looked horrible, looks like it hasn't been cleaned for months! Whoever served me smelt like cigarettes, weed and whatever else they shoot up in the bathroom. This place feels like a horror movie before you get killed...I was uncomfortable the whole time especially with one of the workers mean mugging me the whole time. This place is awful! Perfect spot to stop after heading home to NJ without getting off our route. This place is a complete dive but still awesome. It's like one of those diners stuck in the past. Everything inside looks old and tired but service and food was great. Prices here are unbelievable. Where do you get a huge cup of soup and grilled cheese and fries for $5! My husband had the most expensive meal, the salmon special, at $9.99. His came with two sides and a huge salad. For 5 of us to eat with drinks and apps we spent $60...amazing! We left with full bellies and didn't get off track. It does seem like a very local spot even though it's right on a main highway. Only place open on Christmas from OCMD, to here( that wasn't a chain), didn't extmuch from the outside, but pleasantly surprising, real home fries, real rye bread, not mass produced soft rye, and toast came out buttered as it was supposed to, pretty good meal overall read more

What an awful meal! I suppose it's my own fault, I asked for recommendations but pizza and cheesesteak are not my idea of good reasons to eat out, so ordered the Veal Romano. Veal was tough, stringy and tasteless, very difficult to cut and chew. Marinara sauce was nothing but canned tomatoes. My husband liked his meatloaf but it looked burned on the flat grill to me and he said the brown gravy was too sweet. The waitress was hesitant to ask if the meal could be replaced, saying, "You know how turks are". As we paid she said she did tell them I was unhappy with meal and if it could be replaced, and all she got was a "Too bad". Guess they have enough customers that they don't need these two to come back. read more

Eggs benedict was delicious and it was on a biscuit which was an awesome twist. Bacon was perfectly crisp and the Italian sausage was flavorful. I'm new to working in Georgetown, and I stopped in for lunch with some coworkers. This place is about as Sussex County as it gets, and that's a good thing! The staff is super friendly, there seems to be a solid regular crowd, the food is inexpensive for the portion size, and it's good. I had a grilled cheese (I'm working on trying every grilled cheese in Delaware) that was better than your average diner. It came with fries, which were fine, but I'm not a huge fry person. The best part of my meal was the soup! The soup today was chicken and vegetable (they also had beef barley). It was delicious and clearly homemade. I'm sure soup here will be a go-to for me as the months get colder. The waitress also gave us to-go cups for our iced tea--a nice touch, and really appreciated! This place is a complete hole in the wall. It's stuck in a time wrap but that's what gives it charm. A normal flow of mixed traffic, between the locals who frequent and the summer beach traffic. Prices that will make you think you've gone back in time. The decor will give you that same feeling. We've had lunch there twice. Same comment as breakfast - properly cooked, big quantities and cheap. So, set your expectations to diner mode, bring a big appetite and just a little cash and you'll have a fine experience.
