So this is the second time I have had a pleasant experience with this shop. Over this past Easter weekend I attempted to replace my transmission cooler lines that they previously informed me needed to be replaced because they were leaking. Attempted the repair on my own, but was unsuccessful due to bad parts. After contacting multiple shops, this place was the cheapest and they gave me a week for a time frame. I had it towed there on 4/21 and was told it was scheduled to be worked on 4/22 and ready for pickup on 4/23. About 10 am on 4/22 they contacted and informed me the car was finished. Attempted to charge me for work that I already paid them for, that was under warranty. I gave them a second chance. Now they gave me an estimate for everything my vehicle needed, but didn't fix everything and are saying tpms wasn't included in the estimate given. They tried to charge me additional $768 for oem tpms. GMC dealership quoted $600 for tpms. Les Schwab fixed universal tpms for $197 total. Not one single person let me know that it was going to cost me $85 just to be told what was wrong with my car, even when I called in, advanced to make an appointment! Such a waste of time and money when something needed to be done ASAP to my vehicle. They did not care. WARNING CAUTION DO NOT HIRE Lloyds Automotive. They were hired to rebuild my throttle body and told me they professionally cleaned all the carbon from it. I took my F250 on a test drive and problem still existed. I brought it back and they said they'd take a 2nd look at it as it might be the power control module? It took 2 months for them to replace the PCM. After 2 months waiting I went and picked up my F250 again and problem still existed. I then took it to Clutchland and Clutchland showed me that my throttle body was not cleaned. The owner Misty would not pay me back for the PCM I never needed replaced. The owner is greedy and thinks shes better then the customers. RUN AWAY FROM LLOYDS YOU'VE BEEN WARNED Or get ripped off! Like they did me. I recently had a seller bring his car in for a pre-buyers inspection. We were looking at purchasing a car fod my 16 year old new driver. Kevin and Misty were extrodinarily helpful in this process. Giving us tips and educating us in the process of what to be cautious of. At the end of the day we had a very detailed report of everything wrong with the car right down to a licence plate bulb needing replaced. They were also able to give us their professional opinion on wether or not the car was worth the price the seller was asking. In life, I have had a general disdain for lawyers, dentists and mechanics. Needless to say, when YouTube and the few pebbles I have rattling around in my noggin took repairing my BMW as far as it would go, I decided to shop around. Having read other positive reviews for Lloyd's Automotive, I decided to give them a go. I called, and described my problems (with power steering) and explained what I was able to accomplish with a diaper and a spatula. [Seriously not qualified to be touching anything under the hood]. I was able to discuss several options for repair of my vehicle which also included 'shopping elsewhere' if that was going to be most convenient. I was expecting that I would need to sell plasma and refinance my house to repair the leaky power steering but, was given a rough quote over the phone that didn't involve me calling 911. Took my car there. Despite my expectations of being greeted by Cooter from Dukes of Hazards, I was immediately struck by the actual pleasantness (of the location) that matched what I had already received over the phone! I left my vehicle there and was given routine updates on the progress of obtaining the part and the repair of the vehicle. Upon completion of the work, I was contacted, paid (over the phone) and then my car was driven to me. The repair ended up costing quite a bit less than I was initially quoted. So let me tell you I have gone to this shop 3 times now and each time they get worse and worse. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but I am thinking they don't deserve it this time. They miss quoted me and even though it could have been an honest mistake I think it wasn't. They told me $302 for a new starter plus labor. They DID NOT include the tax or the $75 diagnostic fee. I also payed $45 for an oil change so my $302 turned into a whopping $455. Like are you kidding me right now? I feel baited and switched. If I had realized they were going to charge another $100 I would never have had them fix the starter in the first place. What I should have done is asked them then and there to put the car back the way it was or give me my original quote. But I wasn't gutsy enough. Bad place. DON'T risk it. Not worth the money. Plus you can easily get cheaper oil changes ANYWHERE else. So take that into account. read more

I went out of my way to get my oil changed here because they'd put a coupon in a local Christian newspaper. While I was there, they showed me a dirty air filter, which may or my not have come from my car, and I told them to go ahead and change it. Then they said my brake pads were in very sad shape and could result in brake failure in the near future. I told them I'd get back to them on that one. Good thing! I had a friend look at my brakes and he said they were only partially worn, certainly nothing to panic about. I am SERIOUSLY disappointed that this company would suggest they are a Christian business and then try to cheat people who come into their shop! read more

I do not recomend them to anyone. I had coolant leaking from my radiator and they not only charged me $60 just to look at the vehicle on a Friday. They gave me an estimate of $1074.39 worth of work that they thought needed to be done. Radiator, thermostat, and water outlet assembly. I took the car to get a second opinion at Priors Chevron Auto Care, free estimate. They informed me it was just the radiator that needed replaced. Also the price was half of what Lloyd's told me. Priors got the work done that day on a Saturday. I will not go back to Llyods or refer anyone to them ever! read more

Had to pay $80 just to find out what was wrong with our headlights. Went to our local mechanic who checked it out for free. The Lyons automotive team told us that we needed a power mod but in actually in reality we did not. The mechanic we went to after going to Lyons automotive fixed our headlight for the same price we got it looked at via Lyods automotive. Not exactly your honest mechanic. We recommend local mechanics as apposed to a business that'll rip you off. read more

Being a female and not knowing a whole lot about cars, I am quite upset with how they attempted to take advantage of me. To think that they can try to charge me beyond what was needed is disgusting. My car, in which I just purchased in October (6 months ago), had a painful grinding sound coming from my front left brake. I brought in my car to have them look at it, assuming a rock was lodged or the brake pad needed to be changed; I was expecting to fork out $200 or so. Several hours after I was told my car would be ready after a quick inspection, I called them and asked the progress. They proceeded to tell me all four of my brakes were in terrible condition and needed to be replaced, including all my rotors, and ABS lines. They quoted me $784. Confused as to why my new car needed all new brakes, I told them I would come and pick up my car to get another person to look at it. Guy, the man who I spoke with was upset and short with me when I told him I didn't want them to repair my car. After taking my car to another mechanic they told me my brakes were at 85%, almost like new. The only issue was my front left brake in which needed a new brake-pad and my rotor was barely scratched. I was told that when Lloyd's took apart my brakes to inspect it, they put them back together half-assed. The wires were hanging out rubbing against the brakes, not clipped in where they should have been. I was only charged $185 compared to Lloyd's price of $784. As a customer, you would think they would take the time to be honest and careful with someone else's property. I am so disappointed and unhappy with their service. After reading the previous post from Cindy, I feel its unfortunate she feels Lloyds provided her a disservice. It seems Lloyds, didn't try and sell her new brake pads but clearly warned her that they were in a warning period. Having a friend look at something versus a certified technician can be a little concerning. I recently called Lloyds myself for a brake check (mine I knew needed to be changed since I could hear them scratch) Lloyds got me right in and gave me a shuttle ride to my work while they checked out and repaired my car. They advised me similar to Cindy, that my back brakes as well could use replacing in the near future. A Lloyds representative took the time to educate me on the risks of having thinner brake pads, Sudden and hard braking can cause increased stress on your brake pads and cause them to lose effectiveness more quickly which in turn could possible affect the safety of my vehicle without pressuring me to fix them right then and there. Safety is 100% my main concern with 3 kids and lots of driving for sports, church and other various family activities it is extremely important to me and my family. I highly recommend Lloyds to all my friends and family and plan on being a returning customer, especially soon to replace my back brakes. read more

SO incredibly dissatisfied with the service I received at Lloyds. I moved to Spokane about 4 years ago and went to Lloyds on Sprague for all my auto needs..they were a little higher priced but, did a good job and were very friendly! I never once had an issue with Lloyds on Sprague..not sure if management is different or what. I moved to the Northside and my car stopped running and I was pleased to find out there was a Lloyds located just a few blocks from my home. I brought my car in and they told me my belts needed to be replaced...looking a little further they said the idler puller needed to be replaced as well and this would cost me near $450.00 to do this. I HAVE to have a car for work and to get my 3 kids around so I shelled part of my rent and phone bill money to pay for this work. I get the car home and it dies the next day. They come back to pick it up and quote me the spark plugs and tube seals need replaced and it will be around 150.00. I informed the man that I have a friend that can easily do that so we will just come get it. Well, we change the spark plugs and it still doesn't work...so they take it back into Lloyds and he charges me another 60.00 to tell me the spark plugs, wires, tubes and tube seals all need replaced and now it's going to be close to 450 more dollars and that possibly the timing belt needs changed which would be a 700-1000.00 job. First of all, all their quotes were completely beyond RIDICULOUS! and the fact they charged me 450.00 to change my belts and pulleys pisses me off, they had the idler pulley part listed at 165.00, for just the part!!! I feel taken advantage of for not knowing much about cars and costs...after, getting quoted the second time, I decided to just take the car home and park it and buy a new vehicle because I don't have money to keep throwing away....when I picked my car up the supervisor told me, "If I were you I wouldn't put ANY more money into that car, it's pretty much done..and I don't tell anybody that!" I couldn't believe he made this statement to me after taking 460.00 from my pocket and attempting to take more!!!!! this business is COMPLETELY DISHONEST..especially if you are a female in a desperate situation ....
