They're squeaking already (presumably dust), so we took it back in to be looked at. They suggested a $2200 censor replacement on her 2019 car. A censor change that no "lights" are indicating. They claimed the squeak was coming from some all wheel drive alignment in the back, when the squeak is clearly in the front and only when braking. Luckily, they also suggested a few other fixes for her that confirmed our suspicions. I received horrible service from this shop. My car had trouble starting. I dropped it off yesterday: they said they fixed the issue. Today, the car isn't starting *at all.* I call this auto shop and get told that they actually didn't fix anything and now I need to paid to get it towed over there. Dishonest mechanics, bad customer service and unethical operating. After telling them that you have a problem(loud breaks and squeaky belt) they will do the bare minimum and charge as much as possible. 5 days after you get your car back your problem with come back that you just paid so much money to fix. They will promise you, after an inspection, a certain price, but will find something to add to your work, which they will do without asking. When you show up to pick your car up(10 days later!) they will have a new invoice for you, 30-40% higher than what they promised. They give you no heads up but offer to remove the parts they put on your vehicle without your permission. Ken and Cory are not trustworthy. There were times , when things were bleak but today i got my car back and praised God for them. I paid to have lifters installed RIGHT.IT DIDNT HAPPEN ON PASSENGER SIDE and now I have to pay again full labor because I supplied brand new parts due to time it would have taken them. I didn't ask for a free ride just a little break. It took two weeks for that greedy owner to say no and we don't care it's almost csmas and I was a good customer, not one penny less, he won't ever get my greenback dollars again. My a/c was not working. First time since I bought vehicle. Paid for repairs. Still not fixed. Returned for warranty repair. Now they finally open their eyes and figure out what needed repair. This bill is many times what the first one was. When I asked for a warranty adjustment and credit for the first unsuccessful repair, they hesitated. I paid cash to get it fixed. They failed to give me a full credit refund. Worse, they didn't explain it. The mechanic also missed another problem. What they didn't know is I'm a millionaire and then some. I retired at 41. I guess when a business wants to screw you, there aren't many options. Don't believe the BS on their website. It's all a lie! Next time I will go to the dealership for repairs. read more

Their oil changes are very affordable and they are always honest about what things may need to be fixed soon, what things need to be repaired in the future, and what is working well currently. Brought my truck into to have the AC recharged. Was called 2 hours later and was told a suction hose needed to be replaced, bill would be $500+. Asked to have estimate sent to me, I looked at it and did some research and the parts and labor were marked up over 100% ($191 for part that would cost me $80 at O'reillys and $119 for labor that book time at a dealer is .5 hours). Went down to shop to have them show me the leak in the hose and was then told it wasn't the hose but in fact it is now the AC compressor and the hose was just fine. I pulled my truck from this shop and bought a reman compressor from O'Reillys and put it in myself and recharged the freon for $200. Had I taken their bait I would have been suckered into well over $1000. These guys are scammers, stay away. read more

Did an oil change and they had this tray that looked like a science lab tray but with all your car fluids to show the colors if they match what is suppose to be normal. read more

Lloyd's tried to scam me and rip me off while doing it. Took my car in, they told me it needed front struts and rear shocks replaced for ~$1500. Took it to a 2nd mechanic, who quoted me at ~$750 for the same parts and service. They ordered the parts for me just in case, but when I took it to them they said all my struts and shocks were nowhere near needing replacement. Additionally, they said I'm not the first person to come from Lloyd's saying I needed struts and shocks replaced. I highly recommend avoiding this place. read more

been happy customer south hill shop for several year with Chev traverse. Switched Mercedes 2 years ago to them closer to home. On 2/14/2022 took it in with fluid leak under car. $743 later, power steering leak fixed but was told they fixed most of transmission leak but ATF seep from connector plug on side of transmission remained and was not in their "wheelhouse" to fix. Was charged $375 for this part of total bill and learned from other source that other source will now have to drain the transmission fluid we just paid for in order to do the definitive fix for the transmission leak. Now a week later leak is as much or more than before I took the rig in and Lloyds told me to bring it back for them to make it right. Hello...they should not have started on something that was outside their "wheelhouse" in first place. I won't take it back...should be refunded $375 of total bill but don't expect they'll offer to do so. We have appt elsewhere for definitive fix. read more

The staff is friendly but I was swindled. I was told conflicting information about when to bring my car in and, as a result, didn't even get a diagnosis until they had my car overnight. The diagnosis was over $100 and inconclusive - I was told the problem could be my thermostat and, if that's the case, they should also replace the two hoses connected to it as they were worn. However, if there were still problems after replacing my thermostat, it could be the water pump. I was quoted over $600 for the diagnosis, thermostat replacement and hoses. After calling around I learned this was more than twice what it should cost for this work. I took it somewhere else and they found my thermostat was in fact NOT broken, hoses were fine and the problem was the water pump all along. So, I would have paid to replace parts on my car that were not broken and then extra for the water pump. A slick con. Find another place! *********************************************************************************************************** I need to amend this review to reflect the efforts Lloyd's took to retain my business. I would have said nothing beyond my original Yelp review, but a couple days after I took my car in someone from Lloyd's called me to inquire about my service. I was honest with her and essentially read her my review. She was mortified and assured me my experience is not indicative of the kind of business Lloyd's does. She passed along my displeasure to her manager, and it escalated to the owner, who called me personally to find out how they could make it right. I was told by the owner that, if the thermostat replacement was needed as part of the diagnosis, the cost would not be passed along to me - something that, if I had known at the time, would have kept my car at Lloyd's instead of the other place I took it to. Ultimately everyone was left scratching their heads about the vehicle diagnosis, high price of repair and misunderstanding involving both, but I sincerely appreciated the efforts of the folks at Lloyd's to seek my feedback, understand my frustrations and make it right. They ended up refunding the entire $100 diagnosis fee. I commend the staff and owner for their business practices and for rectifying what ended up to be a miscommunication. read more

After reading the other reviews I have to figure that a lot of the people who complain don't tell the whole story. I've been involved in the auto repair business indirectly before. I have a good idea of what's going on. My experience with these guys has been very good. They saved me about 300 on a repair to my door handle that the dealer was going to ram me for. I can site a couple other instances also. But the reason I'm writing this review is because of a mistake they made. I had them change my oil a few days ago. I use my car almost only for business driving. Seattle, Portland, Boise ect. On my way to the TriCities from Lewiston yesterday I was smelling what I thought was exhaust. Didn't pay it much mind as I figured I might have a little exhaust leak. This morning though when leaving to come back home it smelled a lot. I pulled in the driveway to smoke coming out from under the hood. Opened the hood and immediately saw there was no oil cap on at all. Gone. Called them up and they came out to my house to put a new cap on and take the car back to the shop to get all the oil cleaned up. Even brought floor dry to soak up the oil in the driveway. THAT is good service. I don't know why the oil cap came off or even if it was put back on after the oil change. Oh well. Things happen as they say. What matters is what happens after. I am VERY pleased with the professionalism and concern they showed. And I think that will be the last time a filler cap gets left off! read more

Bought a groupon from them for 3 oil changes. After buying the groupon found out you could only use it on one car. It just so happened that the car I used it on broke down not long after completing the first oil change. It had sat dormant for a while until I had money to repair it. By the time I repaired it the groupon had expired by 2 weeks. I went in and explained to them the situation and asked if there was anything they could do, maybe just one more of the 3 oil changes and they said they could not do anything due to the fact it had already expired. I understand it was expired, but I would still think they might try and do something to help. Would not recommend them to a friend or use them again. read more

Auto shop charged me $80 to tell me it's the shifter cable. They didn't even take apart my center console to look at the problem. They simply touched the manual shifter, and charged me their opinion. $210 if they can repair, $380 if they have to buy a new cable. Jimmy rigged it myself in under 30 minutes so I could drive to parts store. Just a little bushing that fell off/broke. I put a rubber band and a spare piece of metal I had from my brake spring kit. Drove it to AutoZone, $22 part and it's fixed. Lmao Great customer service I must add, but that's how they reel you in. Saved myself hundreds of dollars by just looking at it myself. Also wasted the $80 for their opinion....they shouldn't be rated this highly on Yelp. The raters must be gullible and just thankful for the fix, and their customer service. read more

they are rip off artist i sent my son to have some minor work on hid BMW truck it was running hot and leaking coolant , they it was the hoses that connect to reservoir for coolant and they needed to be replaced. that cost $350 then my sons truck continued to run hot still when he was trying to leave work they then referred him to their Valley shop which looked at it and want to charge him again state a different problem and when we told them it was just fix for the same reason less than a week ago and suppose to be under warranty, which by the way the Valley shop wouldn't honor because it was not their shop who did the work and and they were different owners. my son when back to Lloyds in South Hill and they told him he needed a new water pump, thermostat housing, oil filter and repair some more leaks which came to $1150.58 they also recommended the serpentine belt replaced but it was that bad and the charge would an additional $350. they had his car for nearly a week and when he picked up his truck last week he chose not to drive it to work just save on gas but he chose to drive it this weekend and while he and his 6 year old daughter was on their was home this evening the serpentine belt broke causing my sons power steering to stop working while driving. the belt was totally shredded. the reason I find this totally despicable is they were going to fix it but my son changed his mind since it was told to him that it was something that could wait because it was "not that bad". I really thought they were a reputable and honest shop but I see they are just money hungry mechanics out to rip off people who they think knows any better. My son was better of going to a BMW dealer since he paid BMW prices, at lease BMW have a name and quality of work to live up to not mention qualified BMW mechanics. If you don't know what you're doing say so, at lease I would respect your honesty. I HAVE NO RESPECT FOR LLOYDS!!! read more

I took my car in and they had it for several days and unable to tell me what was wrong. I want to give them a negative 5 stars. By the time they figured it out they were way over on the quote. As well as they broke a piece of my caliper and stated they could not get the screw out as my caliper was too rusty. They were gong to charge me to fix what they broke. Definitely not a legit business at all. I had someone else fix it for much less. I had to pay to get my car back; this is so wrong on so many levels.
