I have two mid-80s Volvo 240s. I do a lot of repairs on my own, but Botzon's has helped me recently with a break down and a rescue project. Every time I have been there, I got an accurate assessment of what needed to be done, an "out the door" quote which they stuck to to the penny, and an excellent turn around time. I also appreciated not getting a giant list of upsell repairs. I was most impressed when I went in thinking I needed a very expensive head gasket repair. Botzon's recommended a test first and found that was not the problem. They could easily have sold me on the unneeded repair, and plenty of shops would have, but they did not. Not only do these guys have a lot of expertise in European cars, Botzon's gets full points for integrity. For the guy who griped about being charged $40 to tighten three bolts, you have to consider the time it takes for them to lift the car, diagnose the problem, and do the fix (not to mention paying the rent and keeping the heat and lights on). Mechanics have to put bread on the table too. Those three bolts happen to keep your front wheel connected to the car. That $40 most likely saved your car and might have saved your life. From appointment to reception to service and communications, to closeout, this was one of the best experiences I've had servicing my Classic Mini in more than 20 years of ownership. Reasonable pricing, helpful suggestions, and even value-added service elements made my experience even better. I purposefully gave the team a pretty broad service request as I had not had the car serviced in some time, I wanted them to check it out thoroughly. And led by Brian, the technicians did a great job checking everything out--mechanical, electrical, safety, etc. They effectively reported back their findings and then followed up with efficient service while looking out for emergent issues. This place is great!! My Audi repairs have been so awesome! Every time I go in the staff is so friendly and really up-front and honest. It's not very often repair shops focus on things that are life-or-death necessary.. I definitely get a sense that my overall safety with the vehicle is a top concern. I brought in an Estimate from the dealer in Spokane and another repair shop, and had them look over the estimates and the vehicle.. Later that day, I received a call to find out that only 4 things from the list of 15 were absolutely required repairs, and they were hundreds cheaper!! The folks at Botzon's are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. I've had two of my BMWs serviced by them. A couple other German specialty shops in the Spokane area said I had to get multiple immediate repairs done for one of my vehicles totaling thousands in costs. I took my car to Botzon's to get another opinion and they said most of the items weren't needing immediate repairs and that they could wait a few years or more. The mechanics then showed me which items on the car did need immediate attention. Also, out of the several German automotive shops throughout Spokane I've called to get price quotes on repairs, Botzon's has always been the least expensive. My car was due for service but I was really hesitant to return to the dealership because of the bad experience I had on my last service. So I began asking friends if they knew of someplace I could take my Subaru Outback for servicing without it being a dealership. I took my Land Rover discovery II here with some starting issues and let me tell you I set everyone here in for a ride. Brian whom I spoke with for my vehicle-less journey was very professional and very informative. I was kept up to date with everything going on with maintenance and diagnosis, especially the cost of everything. One thing I loved is that Brian wasn't going to work on anything without my permission or giving me an estimate on parts costs. Their crew worked extremely hard with (I can't even imagine the frustration) getting my Ol' rover to come back to life again. Extremely helpful, personable, and all around approachable staff. Had an emergency a few years ago where an airbag had ruptured on a Jaguar suspension. Bill was substantially lower than quoted and the work was done a full day sooner than anticipated. Also took my Audi A3 in for service before moving to Maine and not only did they get the service done a couple of hours before expected but again it was less than quoted and they gave me a ton of really good advice for what to be aware of and keep an eye on as I own the car. Overall fantastic! Botzons Automotive personnel, scheduling, and actual repair service was absolutely superb. They were able to schedule the appropriately experienced mechanic to work on my British 1976 TR6 to work on two issues - electric signal shorting and squealing brakes. They were able to get me in "on time" and more importantly out the door "on time". They were also able to beat their overall financial estimate of the repairs!!!! These guys are so wonderful to work with! They were able to inspect my vehicle a whole day earlier than scheduled AND they were able to diagnose the problem right away. Several other shops in town (including the dealership) were unable to diagnose the problem. I had been without my vehicle for 3 months waiting to find someone who could figure it out. Only $112 and a few days later, they had my vehicle up and running! Their customer service is excellent and their prices are fair. I was having problems with my car, it was making weird sounds etc. Being a woman, I am skeptical of going to mechanics because I don't know anything about cars. I had taken my vehicle to 2 places before Botzons Automotive, both of which had a list of things wrong with it and the bill was going to be over $2000. Botzon's rescued us after a catastrophic breakdown on a road trip. My husband's Mini Cooper blew a head gasket in North Idaho. We had it towed to Botzon's because they were rated high and worked on Minis. They completely coordinated repairs with insurance and the extended warranty, stayed in constant contact with us to report progress, and did top-notch repair work. This is a first choice for auto repair in all of Spokane, especially if you desire quality repair on a car of particular interest. Hands down the best place for import cars. I take my Jaguar there as they are very trusting and Speedy. To comment to the people that are giving 1 stars and complaining about 40$ maybe you guys shouldn't own a car if you cant afford 40$. These guys at Botzon's are very very fair and very very good. A friend of mine referred me to Botzon's when I purchased a 13 year old Lexus. In addition to the standard oil change, they performed a comprehensive inspection of my car and changed the serpentine belt. The service professionals were very courteous and their work thorough.
