Lynhda is very friendly and sweet but also extremely professional, and she is realistic when discussing your goals during your consultation. She also doesn't push you to spend more money, like recommending me to do a balayage instead of bleaching my head because it would be more expensive, and genuinely cares about making you look the best. She is well versed with Asian hair and literally turned the state of my hair around, just look at the pictures! So so glad I found this hidden gem! I was a little hesitant at first since it only has a few reviews. Turn out they're a brand new salon just open here in Katy, hence not many reviews. Well, I decided to take a leap of faith anyway because of the great pictures posted by the business. All the coloring they've done look amazing in pictures. I was able to schedule a color session with Lynhda quickly as it's on a weekday. I've been told that weekends get busy so make sure you make an appointment ahead of time. Lynhda is so friendly and has such great personality. Her work also did not disappoint. I wanted blonde ombré and she was very real with my hair goal during my quick consultation that from black to blonde cannot be achieved during 1 session. I understood and wanted as light as possible. They use plant-based colors so it does less damage for the hair (and it smells great too!). My hair turned out great! It is sooo well blended and lighter than my expectation as I came in with my virgin black Asian hair. Their cover cape thing has the plastic hole so you can use your phone while getting your hair done, huge plus! I will definitely come back for my hair color. I really hate leaving negative reviews. But I asked for my stylist to even out some old layers and she essentially did the opposite, taking more length off the already-short layers and not trimming the long ones at all. Ended up with an awkward, grown-out mullet look, and it didn't even end up being even. It was like 5 different lengths and I had to go to a Great Cuts to fix it before school starts next week, because everywhere else was booked up. I don't know how they have so many amazing reviews when one of their stylists can do such a bad job and then up-charge for the blow dry I didn't ask for. read more
