I went to get my haircut from this salon for the first time recently. I don't ever go to the high end, fancy salons just because they do cost a lot and I don't ever do anything except a cut, no colors, no crazy changes to my hair, but sometimes I like to spoil myself so that's what I did. Davis is the person who was assigned to me and I was excited to chop off my hair so I came in really optimistic. I do wish there was more enthusiasm at the salon because even when I first went (to the second time), there just was not a lot of welcoming energy. I'm usually a happy go lucky kind of person but I just felt like I had to hold back some of that energy. Walking out of the salon, I felt really good with the cut. I couldn't wait to get home to show my husband and daughter, but I got home and looked in the mirror and started to notice that one side of my hair was so noticeably shorter from the other side and I could not get past it. I felt so weird, so off, even just walking past a mirror. I got back in touch with the salon and they made time for me to come in to get it looked at which was nice of them. Unfortunately, I won't be back. The cost for a cut is $90... and I left a $20 tip... I'll stick to my regular spots I go to that don't up-charge for the scenery/aesthetics. read more

I had an appointment on 6/20 for a haircut and balayage. I came in with virgin hair and I specified that I'd like my haircut about breast length with long, soft, rounded layers. I also asked for some subtle face framing with no blunt fringes, longest front piece being chin length. For the balayage, I asked for a mushroom brown w/ the following 3 photos as reference, one is a photo of this salon's work. Nothing too blonde or wild as I do have a professional event approaching. I wanted something new. The hairdresser worked with me and he offered good customer service. I felt like he was listening to everything I was saying, but I hate to say that I am unsatisfied with the outcome of my hair. First, I did ask for breast length hair but it came out to be much shorter than I wanted. He confirmed the length with me before cutting my hair and it was where my breasts were. It didn't look like so much would be chopped off, but a lot was chopped off. In the photo I posted, you can see it sits where my armpits are instead. I decided it was okay. What's done is done, maybe shorter hair is okay. Hair always grows back. I didn't want to mention something that couldn't be reversed and decided not to focus on it because I still had the balayage next. When I was turned around the first time to see my hair after the balayage was done, I did let it be known that I didn't exactly like the color. The balayage work was nice, but it was not at all what I asked for. It was just very gray with no brown. We then talked about the color I wanted and looked at some more photos. I let him know that I liked the hair color in a photo of a client that was here before (posted below). It was less gray, had more brown that wasn't too warm toned, and some subtle blonde almost. This time my hair was toned again, dried, curled and I was told "okay, last time." From the front, my hair did look a little lighter and more subtle. Honestly, I was just relieved that the gray was no longer gray. I should've asked to see the back, but I had been sitting there from 10am- almost 5pm. I also felt like I couldn't ask for anything else. You can see photos of my hair when I left the salon. It looks nice, it's styled and curled. It doesn't look bad, but I do feel like it is okay for me to share my experience and feel unsatisfied with the overall outcome. I looked at it more when I reached home, and I just can't say that I'm satisfied. I don't feel like I got what I showed for reference photos unfortunately. During the first round of toner, I felt a tingling burning sensation on the back of my neck. I asked the hairdresser if it was supposed to be slightly burning. He asked if it was like "icy hot." I said yes and was told this was normal. The same day when I reached home after my appointment, my scalp became extremely itchy and slightly burning especially at the nape of my neck. I started feeling bumps forming so I washed my hair with cold water and thought that my scalp must be irritated from all of the washing and chemicals from today. The next day my scalp is extremely itchy and has now formed large welts. It's juicing in some areas and forming a yellow colored crust. You can see in the photos that my scalp is very irritated, splotchy, and red and so is the RT side of my face along the hairline. I've had a balayage done somewhere else in the past and did not experience this. Additionally, I am now seeing my hair without styling after washing it. It does look choppy/harsh to me and uneven in some spots. The color does not look different from my original hair and does not compare to what I showed as reference photos. I feel disappointed as the total + tip was $500. I wish things turned out differently and that I at least loved the color or haircut or did not have a reaction for the price I paid. Overall, I can't say that I'm happy with my experience. I also am not blaming the allergy/chemical reaction I'm having on the salon. I understand that no one could've known this was going to happen, myself included. This is just my full experience. I feel that the hairdresser worked hard and I appreciate the work he did. We were there for a long time and he was standing working for a long time. Everyone here is very nice and I do not doubt that they can do very nice work. We can see it through their reviews and photos. It just wasn't my experience and not everyone can have the same experience. The salon was very clean and aesthetic. My rating is based on my cut and color. read more
