I would really, really get a set price before getting any services done here. The prices appear to be fluid if you don't lock in a price. I paid $85 for root touch up albeit I had two strands of highlight covered. The posted price for root touch up is $55 and up. It wasn't a bleach color or anything. Had to also tell her stop coloring the other highlights because she started to color over them. I have a burning sensation on my scalp and am guessing the product they used was too strong or they didn't wash it off properly. See scalp picture below, you can see the stain. Will not return. The color came out nice though, but it's hard to mess up a color that doesn't need bleach or toner. If I'm paying $85, I shouldn't walk out with a dyed forehead/scalp. Edit: the stylist, Lyndha, didn't wash my hair properly at the salon which caused the stain on the forehead. Got home and was able to remove the stain. Again, I shouldn't be walking out of the salon with a dyed forehead/scalp when I'm paying $85. read more

Lyndha was amazing and easy to schedule with. I got my hair done by Kim, and she was very upfront about what she could do with my hair given my history. I had box dyed my hair previously several months ago, and it was dry. She was very gentle and maintained the integrity of my hair. We went with a pretty caramel, almost dark blonde color, and it came out very pretty!! She added a shadow root so that I could grow my hair out without needing root touch-ups. I appreciate Kim's honesty as well about what we could achieve given my hair history. I had asked for a golden blonde, and she said we could definitely get a caramel, but she wasn't sure about gold. Knowing ahead of time what to expect and what was achievable was great!! She really took the time to look over inspiration photos with me to achieve a look that I would be happy with while maintaining the integrity of my hair. My hair has so much more dimension, feels soft, and has more volume than before. She explained the whole process, her recommendations, and why she recommended it. She was upfront about the cost and benefits of services as well. Nothing felt pushed or rushed. My daughter also had previously highlighted hair from a different salon and came in to get a touch-up. I'm unsure who her stylist was, but her hair came out beautifully as well. Her highlights before were chunky and unblended, and when she left this salon, they were beautifully blended, and she had more dimension in her hair than before. The cost was very reasonable. As someone who has done several salon blonding and balayage sessions, it was definitely affordable. At the end of my appointment, Lyndha showed me which product would help maintain my hair and help with the dryness as well. She didn't push me to buy it from them, either, but told me several places to find it. read more

So this review hurts me to write because sincerely both Lynhda and Kim are so sweet and I genuinely got along with them both. I'm not doing this to be mean but I just feel like I need to write this. When Kim was done cutting my hair, the front looked great! But when she showed me the back, I got scared. It didn't look great but I didn't know how to communicate to fix it. So I was nice, and thanked her and I tipped her and left. I got home and my husband took a picture of the back of my hair so I could see it clearly and I got so sad. It really didn't look great. The front looked totally good, but the back is a mess and uneven. The layering didn't come out good at all. I'm so sorry for writing this review but I have to be honest. Kim and Lynhda are sweet women and I really truly enjoyed talking to them. Please note this comment is only about a hairstyle and cut, not color. I did not get any color done during this appointment. Edit: Today I spent another $100 to have my hair fixed in Seattle and it looks beautiful. $100!! The proprietor saw my hair and really wanted me to leave happy. I will certainly be writing a rave review for the salon here, because I acknowledge wonderful work and service when I get it. I thought I had it at LK. I wrote this in the hopes that no one else has to experience what I have here. -------------- My first 2 visits were amazing even thought the 2nd one was almost 3 times as expensive as the first. I knew I was getting more done, though, and the results were gorgeous, so I felt it was worth it. My 3rd visit was not so great. I went in for brighter highlights (more platinum) and left with a full head of over processed, bleached hair. I don't normally share negative reviews, but I can't NOT say something about this experience. They never answer their phones, so I messaged Lynhda and emailed her as well. I then spent a full day going back and forth on messenger with Lynhda, as she refused to provide me a requested price list so I could better plan for my next visit. She could have called as I left my phone number, but she chose to argue online all day long while I was at work. Lyndha understood that I was unhappy with the results and blamed me over and over for them. It's worthy of noting that my 1st visit was to add lowlights, and Patty did a gorgeous job. I assumed they had this information on record. If they did, they chose not to reference it. I just wanted lighter highlights and I showed them pictures of the color. Now I am in Seattle about to get married. I will be paying God knows how much to fix this before the ceremony. Lyndha has shown no interest in trying to make this right for a customer who has spent upwards of $640 in 2.5 months with them. (they add charges for the amount of product on the fly. They apparently don't say this in advance, and you can't be warned when you head is half-done.) Lyndha asked if she could process my payment before I was even finished, and when she had me sign, she noticed that Patty was fixing a small layer issue from the time before. L saw the scissors in Patty's hand and didn't ask or hesitate. She ran to add a full haircut to my over $200 tab. Then she left my debit card in the machine while she was "cashing out". After spending over $250 just on that visit, Lynhda's lack of regard for me, my money, and my patronage was very clear. Later when I expressed my disappointment, she was argumentative and blaming of me - obviously more interested in money than a long-term client. I would share before and after pics here if I could. I will on other review boards. I am not vindictive; I had 2 amazing visits at LK before this. However, I have never visited a salon that didn't want to "make it right" for a disappointed client, and I won't be returning. read more

My best friend and I decided to come here for haircuts after looking at all of the pictures from the reviews and we were NOT disappointed!! As someone who hasn't had a professional haircut in 5 years and was a bit intimidated at first, Lynhda was very welcoming and sweet, going over the different references I showed and offering insight as to what would suit my face shape and hair type best. I got my long straight hair cut into medium-long layers and my friend got her medium straight hair cut into a chin length bob. We are both so happy with the final product! She started with asking me what type of haircut I was looking for. I went here for a desperately needed color fix about a month ago, and today I finally decided to write my review after. First and foremost, I could not be happier with the final result. Lyndha is extraordinary at her practice, and all of the other staff are just as exceptional. If you are going, you are definitely going to get your money's worth. Second, the conversation was great. Personally, I am horrible at talking to people, but it never felt awkward. Definitely a big plus if you have to sit in a chair for hours like me! I received the worst haircut/ highlights I have ever had and it cost me almost $400. I inquired about their pricing when I took my son to get a hair cut and decided to book an appointment with them because it was significantly cheaper than my current stylist. I asked for long layers (only 1-2 inches max taken off) and framing around the face. What I received was an uneven, not blended, choppy mess, 5-6 inches off and extremely short bangs with some longer pieces (like to my chin) that don't blend in. In the back I have a long point (not even centered) that doesn't look like it belongs with the rest of the choppy mess. My highlights are blotchy and the ones in my unwanted bangs start about half an inch from my scalp. It's silly because it's "only hair" but I actually went home and cried. I tried to live with it until my hair grew out because I didn't want to have to cut my hair even shorter (I don't look good with short hair) but after a couple weeks, I just couldn't. Every time I looked in the mirror, I felt horrible. The stylist was very sweet and I didn't want to hurt her feelings so I waited until the owner should have been back from vacation (I was told during my appointment she had just gone out of town that day) to call. I explained the situation and told the owner that I really didn't want to embarrass the stylist or hurt her feeling and was hoping to just come in and have someone with more experience fix the issues with the cut (I could live with the highlights) but needed my hair to be blended and the weird "duck tail" to be cut off. When I called, the woman that picked up was reluctant to confirm she was in fact the owner, but after I explained the situation she said she had a male stylist who could fix the problem but said "Since it's been 3 weeks and your hair has grown out, I will have to charge you for the haircut" Wait?? What? Hair doesn't grow out in 3 weeks and the mess I was given is still clearly visible. I wasn't asking for money back (even though it was much more than I was told before booking and more than my original stylist)or to even fix the highlights. I just needed someone to rectify the horrible hair cut I received in HER SALON so that I could live with it. Her response was completely unprofessional, and irresponsible as a business owner. I already spent hundreds of dollars there and to have pay again to fix the bad hair cut I received from that salon is absolutely ridiculous. I would advise anyone looking for a new salon to avoid this one, you'll pay a small fortune to be left with an unhappy mess. I should also mention that this botched job was done almost 2 years ago but at the time I didn't have a yelp account. I did however write the same review on Google right after it occurred. It might be petty that I'm writing this review now but after having spent a total of $600 ($400 at this salon and another $200 at my original salon to "fix" my hair") you can bet I'm still upset and want to warn others to go elsewhere. read more

She however did not do my hair, she handed me off to the other hair stylist and I ended up hating my balayage. I asked to go darker and showed her this picture and she somehow managed to make me blond. After having a panic attack (bc I was meeting my boyfriends parents for the first time the next day) she toned my hair darker the second time and pretty much burned my scalp. I had dandruff for 3 weeks because of how dry and damaged my scalp became. I had to condition it back to health and still dislike the color but I can't recolor it bc my hair is so damaged.
