Wonderful place! Owner is super nice, and it's connected to a bookstore! Even though they close at 3, the bookstore is open til 6 so you can still hang out. Like I said calm ambience and super nice people! Oh and the food is delicious too! (I did not get the Starbucks coffee from here but the food I did, I don't think they make specialty coffees here so I brought my own) And they have a Squidward tapestry, 10/10

Prompt greeting at the door. Perfect temperature. Good bookstore music. Perfect lighting. Good menu options. I have no regrets visiting. I'll definitely be back. In just the 30 mins I had til closing, my chicken salad sandwich was made fresh and tasted so good. I was actually embarrassed when I bit into it because I was caught off guard with the warm bread and cool salad. I had to take a look at it as if I didn't know what was going on lol. It was the temperature difference that I never knew could exist on one sandwich so well. There's window booths to sit at or tables, who doesn't love the option of a view. I came for the biscuits (hence my books and biscuits rave) but they'd sold the last one right before I came in. Good reason to come back, even if it's just to encounter the lovely chef and waitress. They were so friendly and seemed like they enjoyed serving up a good sandwich! I imagine they get a few regulars in there, considering the farewell by name I heard. LOVE THAT. So cheery. Prince Books, connected to the cafe is so cute. It's small and have a nostalgic feel with the wood and carpet picks on decor. Although the size makes for a casual amount of books, the category of books are satisfying enough. I want to say that I found a little gem, but I have a feeling it's a big piece of waterside.

What a wonderful experience at this adorable cafe! They were very busy but the employees worked super hard to make sure everyone got their food quickly! You can even order on an app through their QR code to save time ordering. We will definitely come back again!

    Lots of choices!

Very cute/quaint cafe. It's sharing space with Prince bookstore on Main Street in Norfolk. Forget Starbucks at a Barnes and Noble - this is the real deal! This cafe has salads, sandwiches, soups and wraps. The chef is really nice. I ordered biscuit with ham and ham as I already had lunch but gotta try something! I was told the biscuit is a good size. I had mine to go so let me rush home to take a picture and enjoy.

I have walked by this bookstore so many times on my lunch break, but had no idea about the cute and cozy café inside! I decided to go with the half sandwich and soup combo and ordered the egg salad sandwich with the Mediterranean chick pea soup. While waiting for my food I browsed around the bookstore, which is a nice selection! After a short time, the pleasant waitress signaled over that the food was ready. The egg salad was a little on the bland side, but the soup was very tasty with chick peas, tomatoes and zucchini. I would definitely come back for that. I heard that the sweet potato biscuits were to die for so before checking out, I had decided to order one to go. It was nice and flaky, topped with some peach jam. The prices are a little on the high side for lunch....but I would come back again and cozy up to a nice cup a soup and a good book!

    Yay for eco friendly!

Best soup I've ever had. Had the soup and sandwich twice since I discovered this place. Well worth driving from Virginia Beach.

Great lunch spot. Everything on the menu is great. I recommend the half and half special. Get a sweet potato biscuit with jelly to go.

I could really taste the flavor notes, you can tell it's freshly roasted and ground and prepared correctly. They roast the beans here, and overall, I think the inside is super comfy. They have all sorts of different seating, from tables and a couple booths to couches. They also have a small kids area, with a couple games, books, and coloring, which is a huge plus. There's board games too. From downtown, you can take the LRT to the last stop and then walk on the bike/pedestrian path here, it's a pleasant walk. Bathrooms were clean, and there was a baby changing table in mine. Highly recommend!

Sarah and Erin greeted me with such great energy that they instantly made me want to come back and become a regular. I had to take a moment to look around because the entire place has an incredible aesthetic and vibe. Then I ordered an iced double espresso with cream, and it was absolutely out of this world. It was so good that I ended up buying a whole bag of coffee to take home. I got the Main Street Espresso, and it has amazing notes of chocolate and berry--smooth, rich, and delicious. The staff also recommended the food, so I ordered the chorizo burrito. Honestly, that's what pushed me to write this review. It was incredible. This place nailed everything: the atmosphere, the coffee, the food, and the people. I'll definitely be back--possibly as soon as tomorrow!

The price of a large coffee was $2.00 about a year ago, now it's $2.35. And the coffee or breakfast sandwiches aren't even good. There are few tables and chairs around though. I've had coffee here twice, and surprisingly, their plain $1.90 medium coffee was better than the fancy $5 espresso drink that I had last time! They provide a couple of different flavored (Coffee Mate) creamers and milk (self serve, and on the side.) They offer coffee, different Espresso drinks like macchiatos, cappuccinos, the usual. Their bagels are bomb though. Ask for them to toast it... it's got the perfect chew, and is still soft. I hate a stiff (too tough) bagel! My total today for a medium coffee, which I added French Vanilla creamer to, & toasted bagel with cream cheese was $5.10! Pleasant surprise. I already took $7 out of my wallet, thinking it would be that much. I'll just get this again next time. Good deal! (Hopefully there won't be a next time visit though.) The workers are hit or miss, some more pleasant than others. The Dancing Goat gets 3.5 stars from me!
