When I got halfway to my destination, my hubs calls me and said my clothes and shoes were on the car pavement in front of the house. You guessed it, I drove right over my tote bag. Amazingly, nothing was damaged other than my shoe box. So off I went to the Container Store to buy a plastic shoe box to replace the one I ran over and blasted to smithereens. Did I learn my lesson...absolutely? Don't take a tote!? No. If you are leaving early in the morning pack your things in the trunk the night before.

We're talking doors that open to block the light switches and terrible use of closet space. NOW: I started with one closet which was one side of my laundry room which started with just a shelf and a hanging bar SUCH A WASTE! They came in, knocked it out in one day, BEAUTIFUL!!! I do think my water damage issue where the closet system needed to come off the wall is rare (although not rare in high rise condos) but I am glad it sounds like CbD in the future will do their best to address customer's requests. I think for their effort in trying to do right in this case it should get a better rating than 1.

I have a new project where I recommended that my client take my drawing and have them design something similar for the laundry room as his new house has no cabinets there. They do a fabulous job here and you won't be disappointed. I use a custom cabinet company for custom millwork in the main living areas, etc.. but for closets and laundry rooms and even home offices I think they can do a great job! They did my master bedroom and den closets for me. I went with the darker wood because that's what I had throughout, but I recommend using white in closets as it doesn't show the dust as much.

The showroom was pretty with examples of how organized your life could be with their cabinets, bookcases, closet organization systems, and Murphy beds. When I asked about a floor model of a cabinet bed, I was sent to Furniture in the Raw (nearby) to view them as there were none in the MSP showroom. I didn't like having to lie to FITR about my visit -- it felt deceitful and I didn't appreciate being put in that position -- but the trip helped me decide. I selected a cabinet bed but didn't purchase immediately as I needed to "rehome" my day bed. I began receiving emails from the sales rep every other day asking me to sign a contract so the order could be placed. I had not expected such aggressive sales tactics and found them annoying. After about 6 weeks, I did go back, sign the contract, and paid in full for the bed. The sales rep agreed to have it delivered in four weeks after I returned from a trip (and before my expected house guests arrived in March). Yay! The trip was postponed (thanks, Covid), but the bed could not be delivered early as it was not yet available. The bed is manufactured in Malasia and the sales rep had no information about shipping. I contacted her again in two weeks, still nothing. At this point, she tried to direct my correspondence/calls to the "delivery team" (whom I had never met). My impression was she was tired of dealing with me and didn't want to be bothered with any follow-up questions. Another two weeks passed; no idea of where the cabinet bed was or when it would be delivered. Now my guest was arriving and I had to hustle to borrow a blow-up mattress! So, the bed was purchased in January and by mid-March there was still no idea of where it was or when it might be delivered. The last time I contacted the sales rep, she blamed the delay on "supply chain issues" and suggested any cancellation would result in more expense as the price had increased. I took that as a veiled threat to discourage me from cancelling, but I was also irked as I knew "supply chain issues" had not prevented her from communicating the status of my order during the previous 10 weeks. Prior to the sale, I received an onslaught of unsolicited emails; after the sale, supply chain issues halt communication? I call BS. I returned to Furniture in the Raw. Lo and behold, they had the exact cabinet bed in their warehouse and it could be delivered in three days. Double checked with MSP. Nope, would be after May 1 before the bed I bought might be available. Long story short: I canceled the MSP order and bought the bed from Furniture in the Raw. Yelp reviews suggest most people had better experiences than I did, but believe me, Five Star treatment is not guaranteed.

First, they showed up to help me trudge through the terrible job of purging and got me super organized. The painful process was somehow made doable by Kat and her team (shout out to Emmerie!), with their firm but gentle persistence to get it all done. They really kept me on task/gave direction when I needed to sift through things which was incredibly helpful. Otherwise when I had to work or was busy with my kids they never seem to waste a minute. Moving with two toddlers was completely overwhelming, but they unpacked and got us organized in the new house in just two days. I called them back to organize the garage I'd managed to stuff full with overflow and in just a day they had it all perfectly purged, sorted and stacked. They showed up on-time and worked without stopping aside from a short lunch break (which was always fun getting to chat with them) -which was quite impressive given the slog I put them through. They are delightful and super enjoyable and easy to work with, I cannot recommend this crew highly enough!!

The Timeline: We signed in May 2025 for a project promised to take 4-5 days. It began in late July and was not "finished" until September--nearly a five-month ordeal for a standard master closet. The Process Failures: Project Management: Non-existent. There was zero proactive communication. I had to initiate every update. Labor Inconsistency: They utilized a single-person crew for weeks. When the project stalled, a second, "clueless" crew was sent from another division who lacked the site-specific knowledge to finish the job. Management Arrogance: When issues were escalated to the Sales Consultant, the San Antonio Director, and eventually the local franchise owner, the responses ranged from dismissive to outright rude. At one point, checking on the progress in my own home was treated as a "disturbance" to the crew. The Result: The project was never officially signed off. We finally stopped pursuing them out of sheer exhaustion despite small alignment gaps and unfinished details still remaining. Summary: Do not be deceived by the high-end marketing. This company lacks the internal infrastructure to manage mid-range projects and shows a complete lack of respect for the customer's time or home. If you expect accountability or professional communication, look elsewhere.

We were building a new home and having had custom closets before, I didn't want to do without. I was able to see some of the finished work as well as some of the work being built and it's a very professional set up. Briana made the entire process effortless on my part. Fortunately, I had all the drawings from the house so she was able to come up with a rough idea of what would work based up on my needs. I had pictures from some previous closet shelving in my prior home and she was able to use that to configure something similar since I liked what I had before. Just a note, the other drawers I had installed was back in California which is why I didn't go back to them. The next step was for Briana to physically come out to the construction site to measure so she could come up with the final design and estimate. I don't even think I waited a day to get the estimate. Super efficient! They took a 50% deposit and there was a bit of lead time but this wasn't a problem since the house was going to take some time to construct. I put Briana in touch with my builder and after that, they mostly coordinated installation together so didn't have to work around two people's schedules. We had hard wood floors installed so there was some concern about the installation and any damage to the new walls/floors. But other than new drawers and shelving... you would never know they were even there. They even made special adjustments based upon what we wanted. I'm a big fan of wooden dowels to hang from instead of metal bars that typically come with custom built closets. I supplied the wooden dowels and cups to hold the dowels and they installed it all. After the installation, we noticed one drawer didn't seem to ride on a rail properly. I brought it up to Briana and Holly and they acted immediately to get someone up and repair the one rail. Out of more than 30 drawers, just one had a rail that didn't work correctly, but they replaced it instantly and there have been no further issues. Custom closets are a big investment, but if you have ever had them before... you'll never again do without. And they are well worth the money! We hope to construct another home in the future and without hesitation I will come back to Briana and Holly. They were always available and often made me feel like I was the only client. Anytime I had a question, they were quick to respond. So easy to work with and quality work!
