I worked with Livermore Physical Therapy during my recovery from Rotator Cuff surgery. My case was especially complicated because I also had frozen shoulder. My surgeon recommended Pete specifically and I could not be more pleased with the results. I'm at 100% range of motion and ready to resume all normal activities including swimming and yoga. I strongly endorse Livermore Physical Therapy. I had a first ever back problem, and spent about 6 sessions with Peter. Bottom line, my back no longer bothers me. Besides dealing with the immediate issue, Peter provided a series of exercises which appear to be a terrific preventive, so hopefully the problem will not reoccur. In addition, Peter is very professional, and was able to explain every step of the therapy, what it was doing and why it should (and did!) eliminate my issue, and also give useful information as to future prevention (in addition to the exercises). WORST PLACE EVER!!! I called them the morning of my first appointment and they said my appointment time was at 2:30 and to come in 15 min before to fill out paperwork. 2:15 I arrive and the lady rudely tells me that my appointment was at 2:00. I told her that I called earlier and the lady that answered said it was at 2:30. Another lady comes out the back room with an attitude and insists that she told me 2:00. She straight up lied to cover up her mistake. They then ask to collect an $80 co pay to be seen and I told them that I don't have $80 on me and can pay it next time because they didn't tell me over the phone that it was gonna be that much and usually my co pays are only $40. She then again insisted that she had told me that I needed to make the $80 payment when I came in. I know for a fact that she didn't tell me before. The lady was so rude that she said that they were gonna charge me $50 for a no appointment and that I can bring the $80 + $50 next time I come in! I said no thanks I will find another therapy place and I am not paying the $50. I can't believe they really expected me to pay $50 for their mistakes! Angelika Voss-Quinn has been my physical therapist since my July shoulder surgery. In just three months I have regained almost 100% range of motion in my shoulder and currently rebuilding my strength. She is always happy to see me and let's me know straight up how I am progressing whether it is good or bad. She is very concerned with my progress and has pushed me beyond what I thought I could do in just a short time. I am forever grateful to her for assisting me back from my surgery and will greatly miss our sessions and conversation. I have been a patient of Peter's for years. Last year he worked on my left knee and although his treatment lessened the pain, he informed that that there wasn't much more he could do to improve my knee. He then recommended me to a knee surgeon and I ended up getting a total knee replacement. The surgery went great and I went back to Peter for my PT. Way better than Sport and Spine Physical Therapy. I'm 34 and have had 2 back surgeries. After my first surgery I went to Sport and Spine. The environment was more like a sports club than a rigorous physical therapy/ recovery. It was good but nothing compared to Peter at Livermore Physical Therapy. After my second surgery I came to Livermore physical therapy. Peter was very involved in my exercises, stretching and took time to teach me and build new habits to protect my back. I have been here on 3 different occasions for various issues. Each time I have received excellent treatment. I feel like Angelika uses a very holistic approach. By this I mean that she does a very thorough intake - including looking at various aspects of my life (what I do for work, recreation, exercise etc), asking many questions and doing various tests on range of motion, etc to find where there was pain and restriction. I feel that Angelika spent a lot of time with me, including doing muscle work, using heat and ice therapy, traction and giving me a thorough stretching and exercise routine using both weights and Pilates principles. I can't be more grateful for this place! I visited Angelika today for neck pain that has bothered me for the past 3 months, along with an elbow I hurt so badly a few days ago I couldn't even bend it to wear my seatbelt without yelping in agony! I walked out of there being able to extend and bend my arm and being able to turn my neck more than it's gone in months. She knew where the muscles needed work, and she gave me hope again, which is pretty amazing! II was dealing with a frozen should for a while. My doctor sent me to a different Physical therapy place in Livermore. I felt no improvement after several visits. I then went to see a orthopedic Doctor who gave me the option to go to Livermore Physical Therapy Clinic. I went there and within just a couple of visits Angelika has worked wonders with my shoulder. My range of motion is almost back to normal. I have no more pain! Everyone at the clinic is wonderful and I recommend them to anyone who needs help. read more

My first time ever needing physical therapy. I didn't know what to expect, I was a little nervous. I met Angelica and all my worries went away. She was wonderful. Very direct, straight forward and let's you know what she's doing and what you need to do. She immediately let me know it wasn't just my shoulder it was my neck that was causing me a problem as well. I can rate the process of setting up an appointment. I called this morning and the first thing they did was to ask about my insurance. I gave them all the information and they said that they would call to check my coverage with my two insurance companies and then give me a call back and schedule an appointment. Seven hours later, I'm still waiting for a call. In the meantime, I since called another physical therapy office and got an appointment. read more

I went here for some treatment and from the first appointment it was a frustrating experience. The treatments and the facilities are 'ok', but from an administrative aspect they are a complete wreck. This can't be blamed on the nice lady up front who handles the office. You'll soon realize this place is held back by it's husband & wife owners, who are also the therapists. They seem to bring their personal life out on the floor in front of whoever may be there, which for anyone is just not a professional way to behave. The other letdown was with the 2 or 3 times the I made a request with my therapist (the husband) and each time he "forgot" and I got some sad excuse in return. This includes him faxing the results back to my doctor, which to this day has never happened. As I mentioned the facilities and equipment are OK. It gets down to them using equipment that is 20+ years old, and sometimes not in good working order. While the old equipment can serve the purpose I'm sure there have been technical advancements that would be appreciated by the patients. If you live in Livermore and have limitations that prevent you from going elsewhere then you'll be 'ok', but consider your options before making the commitment. read more

I have been going to Livermore Physical Therapy for the better part of 6 months, I am a very active person. Half Marathon, Tri-Athlon's, Cycling etc.....I had a set back in August 2014 that cause me to have some surgery on my back (spinal fusion). I found Peter and Angelica Quinn, because I live in Livermore and wanted something close to the house. I have been nothing but surprise at how wonderful the staff are, they are pleasant everytime I show up (I will admit that I do show up on time :-) like we are suppose to for appointments. The majority of my time is spent with Peter and he is extremely knowledgable about the body and how it functions. Being an athlete I am aware of my body and a tremendous amount of knowledge and can tell when someone is feeding me a line of BS. Peter is straight shooter gets right to the point when explaining what I need to do, he is thorough in his explainations and never stops explaining until I let him know I got it. I appreciate that, as sometime we think we know but misunderstand, it is human nature. I find Peter engaging and well rounded after our initial assessment when I go in we spend time talking about all mater of things and I truely enjoy the time I get to spend at LPT. It has gottin to the point I look forward to my visits and actually will be sorry when my PT ends as I know it is limited. For anyone looking for a PT facility in Livermore so you don't have to drive to Pleasanton, San Ramon, Walnut Creek etc..... Peter has my highest recommendation. He's the third therapist, over the course of several years, who's treated me for issues relating to sciatica. I've just got to say "Wow." This was the first time I felt anyone did a comprehensive intake. Other therapists have basically had me fill out a bunch of paperwork, then given me core exercises. Peter was totally different. He watched me walk on toes, heals, had me do several other movements, and took lots of measurements. His methods work. If you need a therapist, go here! Angelika Voss-Quinn has been my Physical Therapist for more than 25 years for injuries I incurred during my nursing career. She has been a important part of my self care. November of 2015 I had major surgery and had a 3 lb benign tumor removed from my right lower back and was unable to walk without assist of another person or walker to even go up more than one step. In June 2016 after zero therapy and only bed rest, my body was stiff and I was unable to bend my right knee, climb stairs, or bend over if I dropped an item on the floor. Angelika got to work with me, through intense physical therapy and with a continuos positive attitude of complete encouragement, today I'm walking with out a cane, doing physical exercise daily, have decreased my pain medication and am today looking at life with hope! Angelika has given me life again and literally brought me back from the living dead, I'm even building my own dog behavior and training business and will be up and running in January 2017. I won't go anywhere else. I've been treated here for 4 separate injuries and each time Angelika has very quickly identified the root of the issue and designed an appropriate treatment program. In 3 of the 4, I did not need all the prescribed treatment sessions. In the fourth case, I was real bad about doing my home exercises so it was really my fault. This PT organization was the second one we tried. My wife has long term back issues derivative from nursing career. Pete Quinn was our therapist and was able to get my wife a series of exercises that have accomplished relief and good strengthening. We have had experiences with other PT orgs that would not push the patient and that is certainly not the way Pete runs his practice. He is a perfectionist about doing routines the proper way and that has paid dividends. The facility is clean and well kept with a wide range of well maintained equipment. I have been getting PT here on and off for about three years, as I moved through the process of severe back problems and arthritis before and after a lower back fusion. Excellent and very qualified physical therapists have provided therapy for my plantar fasciatis, a fractured fourth metarsal in the foot, my knee and now they are currently helping me with my shoulder. Each visit has been professionally conducted and my injuries have been resolved. Another young family member has had physical therapy for a fractured growth plate and has also recovered. I am extremely pleased with Peter's thorough analysis of the problem, treatment plan and exercises provided both in-clinic and at home. Angelika Quinn, who I refer to as "Frau Quinn" is the best Physical Therapist I've had in the 15 years I've been using for my various ailments over the years. She is German,and having grown up in that culture, it is all about honesty and hard work and that is what you will get from her, no sugarcoating such as if she identifies problems in your technique. She is so positive, smiling, and makes physical therapy fun. For me, she wanted to know my goals and tried to find a program that I like. For me, I love cardio and she has Pilates Reformers in her studio, which we discovered during our brainstorming of something-I'd-like-rehabilitation ideas. I found out that I love it and my core is getting so strong in my back/spine rehabilitation. She lets me stay longer and use the stationary bikel for 20 minutes to get some sprints in and has encouraged me to increase from level 1, to 2, and now 3 on the bike. Her husband is co-owner. I haven't worked with him but he stops by the bike and often gives me a word of encouragement. The studio is filled with a variety of equipment to find what fits your personality/goals to make it enjoyable for your recovery and rehabilitation. There are Pilates classes, massage, options in that building. I highly recommend Livermore Physical Therapy if you want to get healthy. read more

This business is totally out integrity in my opinion. My first appointment I was 5 minutes late and that was the FIRST thing the rude receptionist said to me, "You're late"...I didn't respond. After confirming my name, etc., she directed me to a waiting room. I waited 10 minutes before the therapist, Pete Quinn, came to get me. I think he has skill as a physical therapist and was OK to interact with. I didn't mind them being behind schedule and felt that even though my appointment was only 45 minutes, I got plenty of help and information out of it. My second appointment went OK, spent 1/2 hour with Quinn, the 2nd 1/2 hour doing exercises by myself while Quinn worked with someone else. I did wonder if Workers Comp was getting billed for the whole hour, but was experiencing improvement and decided that solo exercising was part of the therapy experience. ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE on my third visit. I was detained at the office by a unforeseen and unavoidable need for my presence. I was 15 minutes late and got what I expected from the receptionist...a lecture. I apologized and explained that it was unavoidable....didn't mention that my first appointment started 15 minutes AFTER the appointment time. She said she didn't know if Quinn would see me since I was late. I said I was content with only the remaining 45 minutes of my appointment time as opposed to NOTHING. She explained that Quinn had another person coming in in 15 minutes. I said 15 minutes of his time instead of 45 was fine, I just wanted him to affirm that I was doing the exercise correctly. She went back to where he was to explain my presence and request for just the partial time...he uttered a loud "LA TE DAH"... Then the receptionist returned to tell me that Quinn refused to see me and I owed them $55 for a missed appointment. I was flustered, exhausted and in some pain from my injury...so I just wrote the check instead of arguing. I left and on the way home it occurred to me that I HAD NOT missed an appointment, I was late and had been refused the remainder of the time that should have been allotted to me as my appointed therapy time. I figured they'd think better of it and not cash the check. Check cleared a few days later. When I called to cancel my remaining scheduled appointments, the receptionist actually had the audacity to ask me why!!! I told her I'd overheard Quinn's loud, rude "La Te Dah" and that I shouldn't have written the check as their policy stated that money would be owed for a SKIPPED appointment - not one they refused to treatment for. I was willing to overlook the outdated equipment and some other less sanitary situations, but all things considered....there are more professional Physical Therapy centers with better business acumen and integrity in the valley - skip this place and go elsewhere. The Dr. that referred me there said their office would not be referring others as did my orthopedist - apparently this wasn't the first time either had heard of such shenanigans. read more

This woman saved my life. I'd had fibromyalgia since suffering a head injury as a child and no one ever did anything to really help me other than try to shove pill after pill at me. When I was in high school, the first diagnosis was that I'd be at least, partially paralyzed by my mid twenties. I'd had other doctors tell me otherwise since, but was never sure what would happen. Almost two years ago, I was having paralysis on and off and migraines every day. The nerve pain in my body plus the depression was crushing me. I lost control of my life completely. I went to acupuncture, I went to every specialist I could think of and no one helped. I saw this therapist and LITERALLY, after one visit, she took so much pain away. She refunded me for the next visit as we didn't need to do any further work. I've kept up with the therapy at home and my life has been so much better. I can't even begin to explain the relief she's given me. My fibromyalgia is practically gone and migraines are down to a few a month. If it hadn't have been for this woman, I honestly think I would've given up. I truly believe she worked a miracle and I recommend her to everyone I can. read more

I have only been going there for physical therapy for three weeks, but already I am seeing results and am encouraged. I'm a bit surprised to read the negative comments on here, but I see they are quite old. Things have obviously imporved! I went through the same wait process to make an apointment, but, really, what's the problem? This way I know for certain if and how much my insurance will cover before I go ahead and schedule a round of appointments. Old equipment? Funny, I didn't really notice. Most of my work to date has been hands-on, and what equipment I do use works really well for me. Is it old? I don't know and I don't think it's relevant. Angelika is the kind of therapist you want to have - she lives and breathes her work. It is clear she really loves what she is doing and is happiest when the people she treats show improvement. When it is my time with her, I know I have her full attention, something I never felt I got at other places I have had physical therapy, especially at Valley Care phsical therapy located in RX Lifestyle where the environment feels like you're on a conveyor belt with distractions all around and no close, quiet connection. Bottom line, I highly recommend Livermore Physical Therapy to anyone wanting positive results from their physical therapy. read more
