Front Desk My physician sent a referral to PT at the Pleasanton office and the front desk did not bother reaching out to me. A week later I called and all I got was a lame excuse. So if your physician sends this facility a referral make sure you follow up with them cause they won't reach out to you. Finance Department They have a policy in the Pleasanton office if a client is sick. It is suggested cancelling the appointment or they will charge $75.00. I was sick, feeling dizzy, light headed, weak and fainting. I called immediately that early Monday morning to cancel which was no problem. Unfortunately, I was billed for cancelling the appointment anyway. I addressed the issue with the lady at the front desk who works in the finance department and somehow it became an argument with her. There were no signs on Friday I was getting sick until Monday morning when I woke up. So beware, you will be charged $75 for cancellation regardless of whether you are sick or not and have to be comfortable with that. Another MAJOR drawback is their billing department in Walnut Creek. The service for PT was only rendered for one month and stopped in early March. Till this day (which is almost the end of the year) the billing department is still sending me bills in increments. I honestly cannot understand how they are coming up with these crazy amounts. I made all my payments what I owed each appointment and somehow they are telling me I owe them more. The problem is the way they do it. In the statement it does not show what the charge is for, only the date but no mention of what exactly. Every other month a new bill lands in the mailbox and the person I talked with on the phone regarding the bill told me it's the last one but it is not. It keeps coming. Twice already they sent a bill for the same charge again after we already paid the first bill. We mailed the check well before the second statement date and they cashed the check before we received the duplicate bill. The way the billing is done it is really difficult for clients to spot their mistakes. The everlasting impression of them is scraping the bottom of the barrel. I did not like their service to begin with and was happy to get rid of them after a month, but unfortunately, they show up like Chucky without the knife but with the billing statement instead. Be mentally prepared for the billing you are going to be faced with after your treatment. Physiotherapy The female physiotherapist who was treating me seemed kind in her manner but the caveat was that she indulged in gossip with her coworkers. I would show up on time 5 minutes before my appointment, check in and wait to be seen. I would wait for 7 to 10 min and ask the front desk if my physiotherapist is aware of my arrival. On many occasions the front desk person would go into the office where the rest of the physiotherapists hang out and inform them their appointments are waiting. What I would notice passing the office is that the physiotherapists (not the PT assistants) are gathered and chatting away in their daily gossip. I sat in the room close to the office where you can listen to their conversations. After another 5 to 7 min my physiotherapist comes into the room. She spends less than 5 minutes with me then hands me off to her assistant and disappears in the office again to engage in her gossip activity. During one appointment with my physiotherapist, she mentioned that everyone is stressed and has to look busy because her boss was in the office. Cleanliness of The Facility The facility and rooms are always clean. The PT assistants are always doing a great job cleaning after each client. I have seen them wipe down and disinfect the rooms and all the equipment. Gathering all the used sheets and placing them away and covering the treatment table with fresh sheets. To The Owner Of This Establishment: Please take this review as a constructive criticism. Perhaps the 1 star reviewers are showing you a way to improve. Pay attention to the real problems, not compliments that stroke the ego. read more

This place needs to improve in several areas: 1. Scheduling 2. Addressing Billing issues 3. Providing necessary care There is no coordination between a scheduler and physiotherapists. Even when you check-in, there is no notification to the physiotherapists. Front desk is very diligent about collecting the copay even before service has been provided. Whether the session starts on time or not is up to the physiotherapists. Moreover, even if a session starts late, the session ends at the right time. On two occasions I had issues with their system and billing for service not provided. They didn't call me back. After receiving treatment at another place I've become aware the kind of exercises they made me do were insufficient and possibly inaccurate. read more

Joyce has been extremely helpful and instrumental with my ACL recovery. She is very attentive, patient, and very knowledgeable with post-op recovery. Joyce has taught me so much and has motivated me and encouraged me with physical therapy; thanks to Joyce, I have seen such a big difference in my recovery. This facility has the following issues: 1). Their front desk staff is not professional and trustworthy. They forget to book an appointment on their computer system and when you show up, you are asked to come back on a different day. They ask you to pay a certain amount after checking your insurance plan. However, the bill you receive from their office asks you to pay a very different and higher amount than what you paid. They claim that you signed the form saying you are responsible for the amount. Yes, we sign the form, however, when they say they checked the insurance plan and tell you that you need to pay certain amount, you think you can trust them. But, that is not the case. 2). It is not the same assistant that works with you on all visits. There is inconsistency in the treatment you get from different assistants they assign. Whether it is the way a certain exercise needs to be done, or the number of repetitions of a certain exercise, I found that it depends on the assistant. I would not visit this facility if you have other choices to get treatment. read more

Pleasanton physical therapy was referred to us on a list by our orthopedic surgeon, Dr.Bell. We gave a few places a try after my son broke his elbow, but no one entirely connected with my son the way the therapists at Pleasanton Physical Therapy did. Alex was among those, but after we tried to make our follow-up appt, we found out he was no longer there!! I'm disappointed we can't do my son's follow-up appt with him because he has around 5 degrees left or less!! He's been a part of our unthinkable journey! Many have them been! Jake and Sarah have also taken good care of him! Sarah got assigned to me for my back pain! Yes, I caved in and got looked at, too, and have since found better posture! Let's not forget the front desk!! Michelle, Saarth, and Jayda are so friendly at check-in and always make sure we are checked in and have our follow-up appts ready to go. They were also a part of our journey and always asked how me and my son was doing. Just a very thoughtful group! I'm happy we landed there! Post pandemic, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arithritis. Every joint and muscles around were so stiff. My RA doctor recommended PT to gain and keep some flexibility. Couldn't think of a better place than Pleasanton Physical Therapy. This treatment started at their new bigger facility somewhere around February 2023. First up, a convenient location, bigger space, relaxing ambiance. Most importantly, an awesome group of therapists and aides. Bhoomika, Shilpa, Apoorva, Kim, Hiten are all very knowledgeable, friendly, motivating. Surrounded by a bunch of young aides (Crystal, Jake, Justin, Adam, Sarth to name a few), the environment is youthful and energetic. While I am glad I recovered, I will miss the interaction with these guys. I learnt so much about my body as a whole than ever before. After years of practice, I finally got a chance to become the striker in my soccer team against the Mustang! However, the journey was never easy. I had sprained my ACL many times over the years and during the match against the mustang, I tore my ACL!!! I had to undergone a major surgery and was on crutches for couple of months, which was a living hell for someone who is very passionate about soccer. Luckily, my surgeon referred me to Dr. Hiten for post ops treatment, where he helped me to get things straight. Initially, it would take half a year for the ACL to heal. However, with the help from the best doctor around the Bay Area (or say, California), I was able to walk and even play soccer after two months of treatment. After breaking my femur and needing PT, I researched several PT locations before choosing Pleasanton Physical Therapy/Back on Track. I have no regrets. It's not the largest, nor the most modern, but it has all the essential tools and most importantly they give you truly personalized treatment. You can pretty much guarantee getting the same physical therapist on every visit if that's your desire and you see a therapist each time. Other facilities alternate between multiple physical therapists and every other visit might be with assistants not trained therapists. At Back on Track I've worked primarily with Dharni and she is great. She listens to you and tailors your treatment to your needs. I also had two sessions with Patrick when Dharni was on vacation. He too was spot on excellent. The whole environment is very positive and encouraging. I highly recommend it. read more

Pleasanton Physical Therapy is an outstanding venue to prehab before surgery and rehab afterwards. Patrick Amigable is compassionate, caring and considerate of all his clients' needs. Plus he is a D.P.T., a doctor of physical therapy, with additional training and knowledge. I worked with him for many months before and after surgery while preparing for and then receiving a new right knee, just-in-time before covid-19. During the entire process, Patrick adjusted his tool box of therapies to meet my unique needs as muscle after muscle complained. He always listening to my issues from small to large. I came to the "Back on Track" Physical Therapy office with severe lower back pain.  Katie was so helpful in getting me in to see one of the therapists, Dharni.  My son was getting married in a week and a half and I really wondered if I could go to the wedding pain free.  Dharni was amazing!!!!  After 2 visits, my pain level decreased significantly.   I then had more visits with Dharni and was pain free at my son's wedding.  Dharni taught me several exercises to help me strengthen my lower back and core.  Dharni, Angelo, Katie and the entire staff are wonderful.  They are so friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable in their field.  I will forever be grateful for their help.  I highly recommend going to "Back on Track" for your physical therapy needs.   Linda C. read more

My Doctor at Stanford Med highly recommend this BFR (Blood Flow Restriction) treatment for my knees. Patrick DPT was very through and knowledgeable about BFR. I feel my strength in my knees is coming back. I also thank the front desk girl for making my first visit so pleasant. I've been to so many Physical Therapists but no one knows about BFR. I started with Pleasanton Physical Therapy/Back on Track in March. An MRI showed that I had vertebras compressing sponal nerves. I was in a lot of pain. My Dr. perscribed medication for the nerve pain so I could get around a little better. I was fortunate to get Bhoomika as my physical therapist. She is great at her job and she has a really good personality. Actually everyone in that office was great. It made it very enjoyable and even though I was in a lot of pain and scared that this couldn't be fixed and I would have to have injections or surgery, Bhoomika always made me feel hopeful. The treatments they gave me along with the exercises that I do everyday and with her and Gabby have worked. I am no longer on pain or nerve meds. I can go on my daily walks again and I am taking a water exercise/aerobics class twice a week. I am so thankful that I am out of pain and that I can swim, walk, ride a bike and chase my granddaughters around. Thanks to everyone at Pleasanton Physical therapy. read more

I'm upgrading to 2 stars because of staff member Rhonda who was a big help and because the owner was surprisingly easy to get on the phone. But seriously people, not having a process for refunds and then yanking me around for 2 months was unnecessary. Also why have a third party billing company that can't process refunds. One session with Dr. Hiten Dave, and I knew why my dad calls him Dr. Feelgood. He instinctively knew where my tennis elbow was hurting and where my tendon was sore. Most of my sessions were with Hiten, and some were with Falguni. They both have restored me perfectly. They have been the go-to team for my family for several years. My parents swear by them, and even my grandmother who got treatment for her knees while she was visiting from India remains full of praise for them. Hiten and Falguni are not only great at what they do, they are humble and they genuinely care! They want you to heal and get well. Each therapy session almost becomes a lesson where they also tell you what to do, what not do, and how to strengthen and stretch to prevent a future injury. I was also impressed with their responsiveness because I could quickly and easily get appointments that fit my work schedule. The office is a quiet, clean place where the front staff greets you with a big smile so your recovery starts the moment you enter. I hope you don't need a PT, but if you do, this is as good as it gets. read more

Bottom line, I feel like I experienced a miracle. But in reality it was simply a very effective, methodical series of treatments by Lauren Malachowski, PT, DPT, and her staff. In November 2014 I developed fairly intense pain in left shoulder. I toughed it out for over 2 months, had much pain and difficulty sleeping...finally saw my PCP in late January. Result: cortisone shot which helped some but pain and restricted motion continued...not good for my workout and golf game. BTW, I'm 59 years old, male, decent shape, but my life is golf and I was having trouble and a lot of pain, and restricted motion in my swing. Plus the constant mild-to-medium pain. My PCP also prescribed PT. Never had PT in my life but I am now a believer. I had convinced myself I had a serious injury and PT would likely be pointless. But, after only 5 sessions over 3 weeks with Pleasanton Physical Therapy I am a new man, playing golf pain-free. Lauren is highly professional, courteous, friendly, and goes the extra mile to explain the purpose of each treatment. She is also very conscious of the potential for pain during treatments, and consistently asks for feedback during the PT to make sure it is not painful. I was provided with exercises to do at home, complete with narrative descriptions as well as photographs. Lauren's staff, including Melanie and Dinh, were also very professional, courteous, and helpful in the process. Great office, great staff, great results. I've been to Physical Therapy in many different cities. My best in class experience is always based on the staff. Their knowledge, willingness to work hard, patience, and being nice is what sets them apart. Lauren pushed me as hard as I wanted to go, but in a very safe way. My doctor was amazed by my recovery. This clinic has excellent people working there. When I began my PT, the pelvic pain I was experiencing was pretty debilitating. Now several months later, after learning quite a bit about the neuromuscular interactions in that area and working with Rita on therapeutic techniques, the pain has lessened considerably. I also have a better understanding of what is really causing the discomfort and practicing the best behaviors to manage it.
