I would like everyone to know that Pleasanton Physical Therapy is very nice, clean, and the service is very good. Besides, the Receptionists treat us like family members. The Physical Therapist, Hiten Dave, is experienced, very patient, smart, and efficient. I have been suffering from the annoying ringing in the ears for many years. After 1 visit with Hiten Dave, my left side ringing has totally gone away. Right side is still there but I am very hopeful that it will go away also. He figured out what my doctors were not able to and worked on the right treatment. I am amazed by the relief so far and looking forward to get full relief. I've tried many remedies for my jaw pain and headaches and TMJ issues, and Hiten is the first person who has really alleviated my pain and has thoroughly explained where the pain stems from and how to address it. As much as I love the office and the PT provided their accounting and back office staff are just awful. I loved this place up until about 2 months after my last appointment when a bill for $3,243 showed up from them with no explanation, preamble or apology. So it turns out their office didn't bother to see if they were pre-authorized to provide PT with my insurance, didn't find out how many appointments for PT they were covered for, and didn't even keep any record of having called my insurance to begin with to gather any information. It took me numerous phone calls with hours of effort only to find out that they don't bill in their office but have another office in a different city do it. So yeah, they provide great physical therapy but don't be surprised if they suddenly send you a bill for a couple grand because they couldn't do their job right. They take absolutely zero responsibility for their incompetence at billing and ultimately all choices come down to a cost-benefit. The benefit is great but the cost is high, unexpected, after the fact and completely unreasonable. I recommend you look elsewhere unless you are down with suddenly owing thousands.. read more

I love this place. I had a acute lower back injury after lifting my 60lb lab who started to wiggle mid-air and felt a pop in my lower back (I know really silly but I could barely stand/walk). I work in a hospital and my job is very physical, so I was missing work because of this injury. I called Pleasanton PT. They fit me in right away. I had two sessions with Nicole DPT. Nicole and the PT assistants did a lot of modalities from cold laser to stim. Sent me home with a injury tailored work out plan. And I was able to return to work the following week. Everyone from the receptionist to the PT assistants were professional, maintained my privacy and ultimately helped me heal almost as rapidly as I injured myself. After rotator cuff surgery, I selected a PT based on a list of recommendations provided by my surgeon. I thought they would have vetted the list and assumed they were all the same, wrong!!! I wasted 6 weeks with a Livermore PT that may have been knowledgeable, but was not very hands-on. Of the six sessions, two were verbal discussion sessions, two were showing me the antiquated equipment, only the remaining two were active therapy sessions. I was pretty much on my own using the equipment, most likely inaccurately. I was disillusioned thinking PT was worthless, until I found Pleasanton Physical Therapy, also goes by the name "Back on Track." Oh my gosh, Lauren is amazing! After my very first session, I had results, my range of motion was noticeably improved. Lauren is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and listens to her patients to customize her therapy. She provides clear communications and good about adding exercises appropriately and making sure you're comfortable with each. The entire staff is wonderful. They are warm, caring, and ensure that each patient is attended to throughout their session. They employ a very effective team approach to each session, where Lauren provides the expertise necessary for advanced therapy work, and handing off heat, ice and free exercise to her staff members. I would give this place more than 5 stars if I could!! I started with them 5 weeks back when I had a rotary cuff tear. In such a small amount of time, I feel like a new person!! From the front desk people to the assistants and the physical therapists, everyone is amazing. I've had appointments with all the therapists and all are really good, but most of my appointments have been with Patrick and Neetu and they are both amazing! They work extremely hard to make sure that their patients recover quickly and go into lots of detail. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Their price is extremely reasonable as well. I can't say enough good about Pleasanton Physical Therapy and their wonderful staff. Lauren, the physical therapist who attended to my needs, was terrific. She was always concerned, professional and conscientious. She listened to my questions and always addressed my concerns with compassion and great information. I was in a lot of pain when I first started therapy and had lost much of my range of motion. With her guidance, I am now pain free and have regained my range of motion. When you walk in, you are always cheerfully greeted and attended to within minutes. Missy and Kathleen were excellent assistants to Lauren. They were always attentive and prepared for my appointments. They were professional, caring and concerned. I never felt rushed through my appointments. In fact, I always felt as though I got special attention. It's just their way of making each appointment pleasant and productive. I am so grateful to the entire staff at Pleasanton Physical Therapy. Pleasanton Physical Therapy is AMAZING because their staff is AMAZING!!! I am a part time group fitness instructor from the LA area who tore my ACL while teaching. I had my surgery in LA and started my physical therapy in the LA area. I moved to San Ramon for work and had to switch PT offices. I was searching on Yelp for a good PT office in the area, and to be honest during my initial search I had a bit of a snooty attitude because I was looking for a place that had a good track record of successfully rehabbing athletes. I narrowed down my search to two places and Pleasanton Physical Therapy was one of them. I went with Pleasanton Physical Therapy. When I called to make my first appointment Melanie was very helpful and knowledgeable. She ensured me that I will be in great hands because their therapists all have doctorates in physical therapy. Because I am a creature of habit and because all the reviews on yelp raved about a Dr. Lauren I had requested that all my sessions would be with Lauren. Melanie was very understanding and accommodating to my request. Since my first appointment on she never failed to call me the day before my appointment to remind me. Melanie is very sweet and always a pleasure to talk to. She never stresses when I call to cancel or when I'm running late and is always happy to see me. Lauren is just AMAZING!!! She is super knowledgeable and caring. From my first appointment I knew that she was the perfect therapist for me. I am a very demanding and straight forward person and told her right off the bat what I expected and what outcome I would like to achieve. Lauren never hesitated and confidently reassured me that she will get me to where I want to be. In the span of 3 months I went from experiencing knee pain with every movement to being able to lift weights, complete intense plyometric workouts, and running 8min/mile for up to 4 miles. Lauren has gotten me into better shape now than before my injury and lost 12lbs without even thinking about it. Lauren goes above and beyond for her patients. She texts and calls me regularly to check up on me and asks me for updates on my knee pain. In the 3 months that I've worked with Lauren it never ever felt like work. I looked forward to going to my sessions and actually miss it when I am not able to keep my appointments. Lauren has not only made a huge impact on my recovery but has also become a huge part of my life and her genuine care for me has turned us into friends. If you want someone who's all in and who takes your recovery as if it's their own, I wouldn't choose any other therapist. I whole hearted believe that Lauren is the BEST PHYSICAL THERAPIST out there hands down. And then there's Dinh, Lauren's PT Aide. OMG this kid is just in super-duper shape. He puts me to shame and keeps me on my toes every time I work with him. Because he's so physically fit (don't let his small size fool you), he can do everything with perfect technique and form and helps me improve my technique when he trains me under Lauren's guidance. I think it does help that he has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I have to say that I LOVE DINH. He's so dedicated and so motivating to me and all of Lauren's patients. I know that he and Lauren have planned meetings every week prior to my sessions to plan my workouts for the week. Like I said I am not the easiest person to work with because of my demanding nature but Pleasanton Physical Therapy team is just so accommodating and flexible. He never takes my input or suggestion as an insult and he informs Lauren to take them into consideration and she incorporates them into the next week's workout. I've enjoyed working with him and know that he will make a huge difference in many patient lives in the future. All the other reviews that say the STAFF at Pleasanton Physical Therapy is what makes this place great. They are all 1000X correct. I've been to other PT offices and Pleasanton Physical Therapy is just TOP NOTCH. Everyone here has made my experience a great one. Kim, the owner is also a very sweet lady and worked so diligently to contact my very non responsive work's comp adjuster. Kelly the other therapist and Michelle the intern are also very sweet. Every week I look forward to seeing all of their friendly faces and warm welcomes. I will truly miss this place after my last session next week. I was involved in an accident on the freeway. I was rear-ended at a high rate of speed. I knew I was in trouble as soon as I felt the impact. I had severe whiplash and extreme pain in my lower back. I have pain in my arm and tingling in my fingers. Physical Therapy is part of the plan to fix me. Today was my first visit. The receptionist was very friendly and took care of all the paperwork. The office seemed to be very clean and organized and everyone said hi and let me know what was happening. My physical therapist was Nicole Lopes. She went over my paperwork with me and then did a physical evaluation. It was obvious that she is well trained and knew exactly what to do to help me. Wow. That's the only word to describe my experience here. I have been to other physical therapists for arm trouble in the past. Dr. Lauren spent more time with me in one session than I have experienced in an entire month at other PT facilities. I woke up with severe arm pain and after 1 session with Lauren I was cured. I paid $90 (self pay) for a 1 hr appt and received 20 mins of treatment. The therapist said it's their policy to only see a patient for 30 mins. Does that even make sense? And when I questioned it, she said I came in late, the receptionist (she is great!) knew that I was there on time and apologized to me. In reality, they had double booked me and tried to make me pay for an hour. However, if you miss an appt they will happily charge you a $75 fee. I did quite a bit of research before landing here for my rotator cuff issues. I was very skeptical of physical therapy generally because several friends have had poor experiences (it didn't do anything to help). I have been 4 times so far and have had a tremendous improvement in my mobility (pain free) and am currently working on building strength to regain full use. I highly recommend Amisha. I too have had nothing but an AMAZING experience with therapist Lauren Derby Malachowski!! I have an injury to L5-S1 in my back, and have been recovering since last March. I have been to three different therapist, and Lauren is the ONLY one who has treated me with results. She took the time on my first visit to explore my injury and personality in detail. She has a very personal personality and passion for what she does! I am an active person and although my injury has hindered me from performing, she made me feel very comfortable!! She really knows the body, and has an amazing bed side manner, keeping you very positive that this soon will pass. She always asked what worked for me, and introduced me to new things that would imporve my body mechanics, and pain relief. She too is an active and achomplished athlete, so her integrity is highly regarded!! I respect her, love her, and always looked forward to my visits!! I am on workers comp, and although being a part of the "system" can render you impatient, she has not compromised my back injury, and let me know that she is always here to help and answer questions. Her door is always open, and she has given me her email to use anytime, She truly cares and is SO knowledgable; I am looking forward to going back to her!! I am just waiting an appoval. I originally was referred by my Dr due to a calf strain/tear and related issues. Message, Graston, stretching and strengthening really helped. But an MRI a few weeks later to verify a cyst behind my knee revealed complex meniscus tearing, advanced arthritic damage to the knee that was getting close to bone on bone and I was referred to an Ortho. Lauren read the MRI report and adjusted the treatment plan. The Otho said no more running and talked about eventual knee replacement and fluid injection for the knee once I completed PT. This Friday, I saw the Ortho 2 weeks after I finished PT. He was so pleased he said the xrays say we should be discussing knee replacement in a few years, but know it can wait. The injections are not warranted at this time either. No further appointments until I have problems. Just keep my activity going and do the workouts and flexibility work I learned at Pleasanton PT. Lauren and her staff were all great to work with. Some days I would go in discouraged or sore, but always walk out encouraged and better. Lauren keeps you facing forward and positive, which wasn't always easy. I learned a lot (always willing to answer questions) and I came out equipped to take charge of my fitness needs for my legs. Lauren was sick on my last visit, but called the following week to offer to let me come in and meet. She emailed me several workout routines and discussed them with me by phone. I first met Lauren early in the year 2013 as a result of a reoccurring new injury I have always had as a kid. Never a fan of surgery I opted to give physical therapy a try. I was a bit skeptical at first and really did not think it was going to work for me. I chose to work with Lauren and her team at Pleasanton Physical Therapy (PPT). Lauren showed me numerous stretching techniques and checked up on me on a weekly basis to make sure progress was being made. She made adjustments to my routine to ensure I was getting the results I was looking for. By the end of the 12 sessions, I felt so much better and I realized that I had a left knee again. I was slowly able to get back into running! Unfortunately, shortly after I had developed a rotator cuff injury with my left shoulder and decided to return to PPT. I have now just finished my second round of physical therapy, 8 sessions for the shoulder, and can state my shoulder is 90% better. Besides the progress I had made with my knee, other reasons I returned to PPT was because of the warm welcoming friendly staff and the relationship I developed with Lauren. I honestly can now consider her my friend. I want everyone to realize that you will see results if you put forward the effort to making progress. Lauren will prepare the path for you. I injured my shoulder area and neck at one of my golf tournaments and had no idea where to start with treatment. I found Pleasanton PT and met Lauren and she is absolutely amazing. She has an extensive knowledge of how the human body works and how to treat athletes or non-athletes alike. She helped me pinpoint exactly what happened (I had strained part of my trapezius muscle, which extends up to my neck) and worked one-on-one with me to loosen up the area. I've visited the office several times and Lauren gave me a home program to strengthen the muscle so I wouldn't reinjured it. Her team patiently went through each and every exercise and made sure I did them correctly. Any time I had any questions, they gave me very thorough answers that were easy to understand. Lauren and her team are very warm and welcoming and they put a lot of heart into what they do. They truly care about their patients. My shoulder and neck are all better and I am back swinging away. In January, I had a reverse shoulder replacement and extensive rotator cuff repair. Because of the lack of mobility right after surgery, my surgeon sent me to PT within 3 weeks of surgery. Lauren Malachowski and the team at Pleasanton Physical Therapy did such an amazing job that after only 8 months, I have almost full range of motion and almost full strength. Lauren seemed to instinctively know exactly what exercises I needed and how much I could be "encouraged." She made the hard work fun and functional by challenging me, but also giving me OT-type exercises that allowed me to see progress in my life each week. The result is that my surgeon is delighted and took pictures of my range of motion to show her students what is possible in this type of surgery. During my life, I have been to many different PT offices. Pleasanton Physical Therapy is unique, because I never felt rushed or like I was just a client number. They always made me feel like a person and they were there to use their expertise to help be get better. i came in to Pleasanton Urgent care and i saw a new patient come into the facility to see phyical therapy, friendly girl was up front and she greeted this patient and spark a conversation with the patient, she made them feel comfortable , i believe her name was teresa, meanwhile a lady came around and said there was no time to waste and she needed to get this patient to the back, i ask the young lady who she was and she replied she was the manager, i asked for her name and she gave me her name which was kim, I personally would not recommend any one to work for this lady, she was not compasionate, she did not value her employee i have so much respect for my employees and they respect me. she needs to understand that she will loose good employees and also steer away patients if she continues to do that especially in front of patients read more
