"A+ Quality, Friendly Staff"…read more For my next visit to Dr Bell, I decided to break my shoulder. Well, okay, not really broken-- the usual rotator cuff injury. The doctor described the tendons as "shredded." This was not exactly the adjective I was hoping for, and surgery was required. The surgery was uneventful, and took place right across the street at Hacienda Surgery Center. On my next visit to the doctor he provided color photos of my surgery. It's sort of like doing selfies, except you're unconscious. Several weeks later, I was in the capable hands of the onsite physical therapist, Mark Snyder, assisted by his capable assistant. Karen. These folks are excellent-- professional, as well as friendly. I sometimes call Mark, "Mr.Pain." It was originally, "Dr. Pain," but he reminded me he was not yet a doctor. I don't know why I came up with that nickname for Mark. During physical therapy, whilst icing my shoulder, the PT team allows me to watch the TV show, "Sherri." This is part of Mark's therapy, and provided at no extra charge. I am always pleased with the proficiency professionalism and courtesy of the great staff here. A top tier medical practice happens neither easily or quickly. Doctor Bell is a very capable surgeon. I would not go anywhere else. But please don't tell the physical therapist that I call him Mr.Pain. That nickname might be misinterpreted , and they might cut me off from the "Sherri" TV show.

I successfully ordered replacement orthotics once before, but my recent experience has been extremely frustrating. At a December 2025 appointment, I was told that custom orthotics were no longer offered and that Tri-Valley Orthopedics now sells an over-the-counter branded insole instead. I wanted multiple pairs for different shoes and requested six pairs so I would not need future appointments simply to purchase replacements. Six months later, the insoles are still unavailable. Communication has been the biggest issue. The phone system no longer allows direct access to the office, messages left for the medical assistant have gone unanswered, emails have not been returned, and there is no clear way to speak with an office manager regarding the situation. At one point I was told insoles were available for pickup, so I scheduled an appointment. The day before the appointment, it was canceled because the insoles were actually not in stock. Now they are calling saying I missed my appointment. See screenshots. The lack of communication, inconsistent information, and inability to resolve a straightforward purchase request ultimately led me to seek care elsewhere. While my earlier experiences with the practice were positive, this recent experience fell well below my expectations.

I was already well-versed in shoulder surgeries, having undergone four surgeries on my right shoulder over the past ten years, so I knew what I was looking for in a surgeon. From the moment I met Dr. Elrashidy, I knew I had found the right person. Not only is he extremely personable, but he truly listens. He took the time to hear all of my concerns and showed genuine interest in my very extensive history of orthopedic surgeries. Little did either of us know that my shoulder was about to turn into quite a project. This shoulder and arm had finally had enough after years of being overused and relied on while my right shoulder went through multiple surgeries and physical therapy. Two days before my pre-op appointment with Dr. Elrashidy, my left bicep completely tore--rolling up into the classic "Popeye" deformity. When he saw it, he didn't hesitate for a second. He immediately jumped into action and was fully committed to getting me fixed. Once he got into my shoulder and arm, it turned out I had quite a mess for him to repair. After healing for 4-5 months, it became clear that my body was not cooperating. Despite working hard in physical therapy, I had developed a significant amount of scar tissue in my shoulder. On top of that, I also developed abnormal scar tissue bands over my bicep. After 20 years of surgeries, my body had decided to fight the process. To address the extensive scar tissue that had nearly stopped all forward momentum in physical therapy, Dr. Elrashidy recommended a full shoulder manipulation to break up and remove the scar tissue that was preventing me from regaining movement. Five and a half months after the first surgery, we went back in and did it again. He had a lot to deal with, and almost immediately, I gained additional range of motion. I am now eight months post-op from the second surgery and still only about 50% recovered, but we continue working with physical therapy 2-3 days per week. Dr. Elrashidy stays in constant communication with me and consistently follows up on my progress. If I had to do it all over again, I would absolutely choose Dr. Elrashidy again. I trust him so much that I even sent one of our best friends to him to repair her ACL injury. If you need help with a complex orthopedic problem--especially if your situation is complicated like mine--Dr. Elrashidy is the best choice you can make. Thank you, Dr. Elrashidy, for your exceptional care and friendship through such a challenging time.

That process didn't sit well with me because I would rather be asking what kind of care they can provide for me and if they can help me with my shoulder vs if they take my insurance. That said, thank goodness my orthopedic surgeon knew who to refer me to. VibrantCare!! James is amazing! Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. I have been seeing him for over 2 months and have seen excellent progress with my frozen shoulder. I have seen a few PTs in my life but James is my favorite thus far. He doesn't just give you exercises then walk away. He talks to you about your progress, answers questions, and spends quality time with you. I wish there were 2 of James in that office. The exercises are totally doable. He shows you what to do and how many times you do them for. They use an app for your phone to make t easy for to refer to the exercises, and it comes with videos so you are guided along throughout your care. Ana at the front desk is also awesome! She assists with the exercises to get you started while James is with a client. She is also knowledgeable and professional. What I like about Ana is she will advocate for you to receive care. There was a hiccup with my insurance as far as extending the number of visits to continue my progress, but Ana stayed on top it to get my authorization approved and get me back on track with my appointments so as not to have a lapse in treatment. Their service is not about how many people they can fit in an hour and the PT bounces around to different patients. Nope. That is not VibrantCare. They spend personal time with each client during their entire appointment tine. That's care quality! I only wish there were more Jameses at this office. Thank you VibrantCare!

One toe is now completely numb and in pain, and the top and left side of my foot always feels like it is "asleep" and is numb and tingling. I don't like dealing with doctors to begin with, so I put off doing something about this until just a few months ago. Yes, 7 years later. I was able to obtain my original surgery report, MRI, and x-ray that Dr. Venos used to "diagnose" my condition. Well guess what I just learned?? I discovered that he needlessly cut into my foot, and once inside there, he did NOTHING---absolutely nothing. The two podiatrists I have seen are shocked by what they have seen. The scar from where he cut into my foot is completely at the wrong angle, and goes against the basic rule of cutting in-line with the foot so as not to cross any nerves and cause damage (which is what I learned I now have). I was in a cast from my foot up to my groin for almost 2 months, and the two podiatrists that are reviewing my case are perplexed by this----they can not figure out or understand why this was done. The bottom line is this....I am in pain for life now, because Dr. Venos performed a surgery that was not necessary. Once he opened me up, he did nothing anyway! The report, in his own words, essentially says that he did nothing. But what he said to me in my follow-up appointment is TOTALLY the opposite of what the surgery report says. And since this happened 7 years ago, what can I do?? My guess is probably zilch, zero, nada! So instead, I at least want to let fellow Yelpers know about this guy. It's about all I can do. Feel free to contact me with any questions---I have absolutely nothing to hide, with all documentation and pictures (MRI, X-Ray) to back it up.
