Burger w/tots.
Luis R.

I was hungry. I had a burger with tots. It hit the spot. Not many choices at this airport but if you are hungry you can give this place a try.

This review is for the crab and corn chowder: large portion so definitely filling. Very rich, large portion. Not the best you ever had but definitely decent and for a decent price considering you're in an airport.

The downside of being in such a small airport, there are only two places to eat. I chose this one over the bakery because... well my boyfriend really wanted a burger. So the cashier is initially friendly and helps us pick our items, I order the Chicken Tender Basket with Fries, and he orders the Chipotle Burger w/o mayo, tomato and with Tater Tots w/Honey Mustard. He a fountain drink, me a Orange Pineapple smoothie. First thing, they don't call your name or even the order out, they place it on the counter and expect you to guess if it is yours it not. Now a line starts to form behind us, a small family and some employees. This is where it becomes good. I check his burger while he's in the restroom and notice there's Tomato and regular fries. No biggie, I have a severe tomato allergy but he doesn't. I just hand it back off to the guy manning the counter, and he just sighs heavily. Takes the box and walks to the back, immediately puts a disheveled burger and fresh tots into the box. We start eating, and I notice the woman behind the counter making drinks has made two smoothies ahead of mine. My boyfriend speaks up and asks if mine will be ready soon and she replies with "I've already handed it off. You must have missed it." Naturally, I'm a bit taken aback. "Maybe someone else grabbed it? I didn't hear it called." I replied. She glares at me, then starts to make the new smoothie. My boyfriend starts to enjoy his burger, then as he goes for a bite of tater tots, there's a whole strand of hair on it. He has purple hair, mine is green, this is a black hair. See photo for hair. He still hasn't received his drink. At this point, i'm completely fed up. I go to the counter and show the woman now manning the counter the hair, and request a refund. She doesn't say a word. Not a sorry, not an okay, not even a nod. Just takes it and walks to the back. I was eventually given a partial refund, but not before being glared at the entire time. This girl has the audacity to shake her head as I confirm I want a refund for both the drink and the burger. I ask "Hm?" and she says "Oh nothing." Yeah, sure. The bakery was way better, anyways.

Mac & cheese comes "chef recommended" at $11.99 (before adding any protein).

The Mac & Cheese was amazing. No, I'm not kidding. SERIOUSLY, the best mac & cheese I have had in over a year I am consuming right now at Live Oak Grille. In Tallahassee International Airport. What. Gives? I confirmed with two different employees that the mac & cheese is made from scratch in this restaurant. I wanted to know because if this was a frozen meal, I wanted to buy some for the few times I eat at home. This mac & cheese was just the right amount of ooey-gooey. Sometimes places make it too soupy and sometimes it's not cheesy enough and tastes almost dry. This was perfect. I also added bacon and there was enough but not an overwhelming amount of bacon. And the panko bread crumb topping was baked to perfection. NICE. All of this while sipping on a local IPA. Downsides? The mac & cheese by itself is $12 which I think is CRAZY. Mostly because the price for my beer was $11 and something just doesn't seem right there. The next time I come to TLH, I will be arriving early just to experience this mac & cheese one more time.

My flight was rushing to board and I left in a hurry not realizing that I had left my laptop and notebook under the menu on the table.

R&R at Hotel Indigo in Tallahassee, FL…read more Stayed a couple nights at Hotel Indigo on a work trip and naturally ended up at R&R more than once because: location, location, location. Easy access plus a bar meant repeat visits. Let's start with the GOODS the drinks! I stopped in to the bar multiple times and the cocktails are where they shined for me. Ryan the bartender - WOW next level. Superb! Knows his stuff, and made every drink a hit for me. My top pick? The Juju, hands down my favorite. But I also got a sneak peek of a new drink coming to their seasonal menu called the Lily Pad, and OMG mmmmmm. So good. Bright, refreshing, well-balanced. Totally check out my photos for that one. Now... about breakfast. It's a No for me. Enough. I had the Nashville Honey Chicken Biscuits and they are a FAIL, a No. Dry, sad, biscuits with fried frozen chicken nugget in it and not worth $16. It's an embarrassment to the establishment. The Cortado, also a miss!... but it was coffee and I needed to get going to work. R&R, please rethink breakfast: 100% did not meet the price point. Skip breakfast or walk across the street, there's a bagel shop. The hotel indigo is really cute and I'll probably write a review about that on a separate, the place is overall cute, but there's very limited food places around the hotel. So in conclusion, I will give you an extra star for the convenience and the bar. After my experience for breakfast, I did not care to come here for food at all anymore. Expensive cheap food. Just because they're helped by a great bar and a beautiful hotel and a great location..

I forget our waitresses name. The items are reasonably priced and cooked fresh with love. I had the trout and enjoyed everything about it. I will say I had the last trout of the evening. They were running low on a few of the entree items, but it was two hours til closing time. My friend had the pesto pasta and she said she wishes she'd had more pesto sauce and highly recommended adding a protein to it. Since it's connected to a hotel the vibe is pretty cool. I hear breakfast is good and plan to return for it soon.

And its 4.4-star rating out of 600+ via Uber Eats was the assurance I needed that I would have a quality experience. Looking through the menu of Harry's, I took interest in and ended up ordering their fried grouper sandwich with Harry's collard greens, and a key lime pie, which both were items I had an interest in trying while visiting the city of Tallahassee. Whether it be Grubhub or now Uber Eats, I love ordering online because it is convenient. Much praise to the Uber Eats delivery driver, Dezi, for arriving with my order at a reasonable time, as well as meeting me in front of the hotel. And Dezi also confirmed that it was me grabbing the order, which I cannot thank her so much for. Once I retrieved my order, it was so hard to not smell it inside of the elevator while heading up to my hotel room. First, I want to say that I was satisfied with the presentation of what I ordered. However, I was not satisfied with the way it was placed inside of the bag, which led to the collard greens leaking slightly, and the cream of the lime pie being splattered around the container. Now my mouth salivated prior to taking my first bite of the grouper sandwich, which appeared big! It could have easily turned into the only meal I ate for the evening and I was not complaining about that. It tasted just as good as it appeared with the addition of tartar sauce which I put a whole glob of it on, tehehe. The grouper sandwich made me forget about the way my food was placed inside of the bag. After letting the grouper sandwich settle off my taste buds, I went for the collard greens, which I enjoyed outside of picking out the chunks of meat! There was a point while eating the collard greens, I said to myself "This is good!". If you love collard greens as much as I do, then I recommend Harry's collard greens, but keep in mind that it has meat chunks inside of it. Now, I saved the best for last, which was the key lime pie! Mm... It was basically a cheesecake in the form of lime pie! And oh my was it tasty! I would be lying if I said that I left some crumbs behind because it sure was satisfying. Okay, Harry's you have won over this traveler from the Midwest. Being that I had a great ordering experience, I would surely order from Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille again whether it be Uber Eats delivery or takeout whenever visiting the city of Tallahassee. Service: 4 | Ambiance: N/A | Food: 5 | Overall rating: 4 ~ Keep moving Forward ~ Thomas G

Whether it is a seasonal special, or the classic "perfect chocolate cake" we are never left with a sugar craving that can't be satisfied. The counter service for "desserts to go" is just as impeccably staffed as in the restaurant. They take their time making sure that your dessert is plated beautifully for when you arrive home to enjoy it. We also enjoy popping in for dessert and coffee, as there is usually a spot at the bar or the community table. There really is no wrong time to go to Food Glorious Food. Regardless of the time of day, your dessert is sure to be GLORIOUS.

A recent, glowing review in TALLAHASSEE Magazine whetted our appetites for an updated and re-imagined cuisine. What a let-down! We were told the menu changes daily, which is hard to believe. The indoor seating is marginally attractive, in a cold, windowless dining room with concrete floors and walls that bounces sound like ping-pong tables. The table was so unstable and shaky, I feared for the glasses of water that finally arrived. The waiter was blase, collegiate, and nonchalant about the menu offerings. No bread or condiments offered, just water, when we did not wish the wine list. We ordered the small plates of fried oysters, with sides of garlic spinach and potato fries, a "T-bone steak" with mashed sweet potatoes and spinach, and a Caesar salad to share. These were served piece-meal and slowly from the kitchen, by our waiter who seemed in a rush, although the dining room was only one-quarter full. The oysters arrived, ($18) a plate of heavily fried batter and sauce, but scarcely a trace of real oysters inside. My wife found something that looked like the nub of a rubber band inside one battered lump. The Caesar salad was adequate but uninteresting. ($14). The sides of potatoes ($5) were thin slivers of greasy-stick-like crunchies that could have come out of a can. The spinach side never arrived. My "T-bone steak" ($18) was largely t-bone, with a minimum of meat and some gristle and fat that had not been trimmed away, leaving 3 or 4 small bites of steak. It was cooked medium-rare. I asked the waiter why he'd not asked me how I like my steak cooked, and the indifferent answer was "it's all cooked the same." The sweet potato mash was not bad, but too sweet with the addition of brown sugar, which obscured the flavor. To finish this mercifully, we complained to the manager. She apologized for the poor quality and to her credit offered us a free dessert, which we declined to take. Our waiter never offered any apology or comment. He simply walked away. So we left, leaving the food uneaten on the table. We cannot account for the poor food quality and service except as FGF must be dealing with poor food quality from suppliers, and a new and inexperienced wait staff. As for the desserts, without trying any we admit that they look extremely attractive and well-presented. When and if there is significant improvement in food and service, we'd like to give FGF another try.
