And I was also going to the range enough to get frustrated at how I was stuck at my skill level and knew I needed training. His expertise in the field is apparent immediately, and he has a resume that is hard to beat. But that's half of it. In the beginners course, you will learn all the basics in a safe, ego neutral environment where you can be comfortable. Half classroom, half gun range. I took her Ladies Only Beginner course and was able to take the test to get certified to purchase & own a Firearm, as well as spend a few hours shooting a .22 caliber pistol (let her know in advance if you want to take the certification test). On 8/23/26, I took my first Combat Handgun Course 1 with ADE after specifically looking for a…read morewomen's-only class and finding the Girls Gun Club. I reached out to Paula through the club, and she took the time to explain the different classes ADE offers. Since I had some basic shooting experience but had never drawn from a holster, she recommended Combat Handgun 1 as the perfect place for me to start. There were only four of us in the class which was perfect. We had an amazing instructor, Sayaka. She was extremely knowledgeable, funny, patient, and an absolute badass! Her extensive background and experience are seriously impressive. I wasn't sure what to expect going into the course, but by the end of the day, I felt like I had known Sayaka and the other women in my class for years. I felt comfortable, supported, and learned so much. I'm also left-handed, which can sometimes make finding the right gear and setup a little more challenging. They took the time to make sure they found me the right left-handed holster that actually fit my firearm so I could participate fully in the course. I really appreciated that they didn't just expect me to figure it out on my own--they made sure I had what I needed and was comfortable with my setup. Paula was also there training another group, but she still checked on us throughout the day and made sure we had plenty of water and electrolytes. She's definitely the mama bear of the group--making sure everyone was safe, comfortable, and hydrated while we trained in 100-degree weather! It's those little things that really make a difference. As a woman getting into more advanced firearms training, being in an environment where I felt comfortable asking questions, learning new skills, and not feeling intimidated was huge for me. I came into the class with basic experience and left feeling much more confident and excited to keep learning. I'm really glad I found the Girls Gun Club and ADE, and I'm already looking forward to my next class!

From the moment we arrived, we felt that safety was the top priority. The setting was amazing, the location was great, and the entire experience was extremely well organized. Doug and Paula were fantastic instructors. They paid incredible attention to detail and were very patient throughout the entire course. They explained everything clearly, including proper handling, safety procedures, and how to keep everyone around us safe. They took the time to walk us through every step, answered all of our questions, and never made us feel rushed or uncomfortable asking for clarification. By the time we left, we felt much more knowledgeable and confident about the fundamentals of safe firearm handling. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our first course. Doug and Paula were professional, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely focused on making sure everyone was safe. He breaks down fundamentals in a way that's easy to understand without ever talking down to you. You can tell right away you're learning from someone who takes safety and skill seriously. Assisting Instructors Emilio and Julie were both excellent -- attentive, professional, and supportive throughout the drills. The whole class felt structured and well run, but still relaxed enough to enjoy. It never felt overwhelming. By the end of the day, I was noticeably more comfortable handling and operating my firearm -- from basic fundamentals to controlled drills and clearing malfunctions. Everything just felt smoother. I've done a few classes with Dave now. And although I am not, and probably never will be, a "gun…read moreperson," I can say I do now feel more comfortable around them. I used to hate it when my husband would get his gun out to practice with his fake bullets or clean it or something, but now I'll do a couple of practices with him. The last class we had, the shooting workshop, was probably the best. It was a private range, and I shot an orange, which was so cool. I highly recommend this workshop. So now, while I wouldn't say I'd be "excited" about a day at the range, I'll at least go in somewhat knowing what I'm doing and have some fun, which is a huge difference from a few months ago, when I wouldn't even go at all. As an instructor and human, Dave is patient, kind, and funny. This kind of class can be intense- a firearms instructor needs to walk a fine line between being supportive and encouraging, but also making sure people know what they're doing so they don't hurt themselves. Dave is able to balance that well. He knows when to explain, when to show, and when to let the student try it out. He also seems to know when he can encourage a student a bit more to reach the next level of skill and when to back off. He definitely knows guns, but he knows people, too! Within minutes, I went from shots scattered around the target to consistently hitting the bull's-eye. I was amazed! What I appreciated most was how encouraging Dave was. He made the entire experience fun, relaxed, and motivating, while still being very focused on helping me improve. Spent a very educational and eye-opening weekend with ITTS' new class, Tactical Concepts. This…read morecourse filled a critical gap in my firearms proficiency - bridging the space between pure marksmanship and real-world application. The class provided structure, guidelines, and valuable considerations on when to use lethal force, how to apply it effectively, and how to do so while minimizing collateral risks and maximizing the chances of prevailing in court (especially important here in California). Most importantly, it emphasized how to carry yourself in a way that reduces the likelihood of ever needing to deploy lethal force in the first place. For context, I have a competitive shooting background and am confident in my ability to put accurate rounds on target quickly - both in a square-range and more dynamic settings. My weakness? Applying that skill in real-world situations. Marksmanship is just one side of the coin. Tactics - the knowledge of how and when to employ that marksmanship - is the other. This class helped tie those two sides together, showing how to maximize survivability during an incident and in the post-incident aftermath involving law enforcement, prosecutors, jurors, and the inevitable Monday-morning quarterbacks. Looking forward to ITTS creating Tactical Concepts 2 and 3... Highly recommend for anyone who wants to take their skills beyond just hitting the target.

i've had such a great experience at amsc, and i'm genuinely so grateful for the professors and…read morestaff who have supported me throughout my time here. rene has been an amazing professor and has played such a big part in helping me grow as a sonography student. he is extremely knowledgeable in both echo and vascular, and he genuinely cares about making sure his students understand what they're learning and become better sonographers. he has always been there whenever i needed help, whether it was explaining something again, answering questions, or giving me tips and tricks to improve my scanning. when it came time for me to start my externship, rene was also one of the people who really believed in me and reminded me that i was capable of doing it. he gave me so much advice and helped prepare me for what to expect, which made me feel much more confident going into externship. now that i'm there, i can genuinely see how much of what he taught me has helped prepare me. i've learned so much from him, and i'm extremely grateful that i've had him as my echo and vascular professor. sarah, my student counselor, has also been such an important part of my experience at amsc. she is incredibly supportive and motivational and genuinely wants to see students succeed. whenever i've felt nervous or doubted myself, she has always reminded me of what i'm capable of. especially while preparing for my spi, she encouraged me and reminded me that i knew the information and could do it. being able to share with her when i passed made that accomplishment even more special because she knew how much work went into getting there. she is also someone i've always felt comfortable going to whenever i needed guidance or had a concern, and it truly makes a difference having someone like that in your corner throughout the program. i also want to recognize mrs. rose, suzy, naira, gary, tamara, and leslie. they have all been incredibly kind and knowledgeable and have contributed to making my experience at amsc such a positive one. the front desk staff is also always so kind and welcoming, which is something i really appreciate. there are so many people here who are willing to share their knowledge, answer questions, and help you along the way, and i'm very grateful for that. overall, i'm extremely grateful for my experience at amsc and for the people who have helped me get to where i am. having professors, counselors, and staff who genuinely care about your education, growth, and success makes such a difference. i still have more of my journey ahead of me, but i already feel like i've grown so much as a student and future sonographer. i'm truly thankful for rene, sarah, and everyone at amsc who has been a part of that journey.

DO NOT COME TO THIS SCHOOL !! if i can give this school a 0 i really would. there is so much to…read moresay about this school that i don't even know where to start but they are just so money hungry. they arent accredited so you have to wait a year for experience to get hired unless you get hired at externship. every 25th of the month is the monthly payment but they send so many emails everyday when it gets closer in big bold cap letters so you pay it off. i understand schools have policy's to follow which its understandable but to a certain extent, when you go to school in person who cant have "long nails" i put quotation marks because even if they are so short they will still send you home and mark you absent then you will have to makeup the hours some classes don't even get checked. they are so unprofessional certain staff members starting with sarah from student services she always has an attitude when you speak to her and tries to walk over you she will pretend that she cares in reality she doesn't care one bit. the teachers they hire to teach dont even care abt the students the only ones who do care is ms.sarah, ms. suzie, dr.v, ms.rose they are even fed up with administration. everyone's physics teacher is ms.jessica who doesnt know what she is talking about, always has an attitude towards students, always is laughing at the students when they have a question all she shows is videos you have to teach and prep yourself, many classes have asked countless amount of times to change her and the issue hasn't been solved. during orientation they even said " we are very understanding with our students " they arent. when you are going thru a personal situation they still want you to be there or they place you on several probations. they are never willing to work with you at all. they dont care about your education. so please do yourself a favor and find a better school out there!!
