The pediatricians are amazing here especially Dr. Christina Sun Lee…read more ------HOWEVER, the front desk staff is incredibly rude for no reason whenever we have any conversation over the phone. They all seem to speak Cantonese and never have good attitude unless I raise my voice. Didn't think they deserved my time to write a complaint until today. Today my son saw Dr. Chan who is a great pediatrician as well, but I believe he forgot to put in a prescription so when we went to the pharmacy which we confirmed with the front desk before seeing the doc, the pharmacy never received the prescription. When I called the front desk the lady said there is no prescription for my son. Doc clearly said he's sending antibiotics (Amox/Clauv) the same one he has taken twice before. So I asked the front desk to please notify the doc urgently since my son needs the medication now for his bronchitis before it develops into pneumonia again. The lady said she "sent a message" to the doctor and that he will see it later. I said this is urgent can you have someone tell him directly in person or at least make sure he knows it's urgent. She replied, and I quote, "I sent the message, I already help you. I cannot see the doctor." And from then put me on hold for a good 3min and came back and told me the same thing "I already sent the message to the doctor you have to wait maybe within 1 hr". What kind of a doctor's office does not have a phone system to reach the doctor in urgent cases, what kind of medical office staff doesn't have the empathy or capacity to understand and simply pass on a message that takes 5 seconds? The patient should never have to wait at the pharmacy 30min after the visit and be told theres no prescription sent. That is absolutely unacceptable. And it's an observable fact, not racism (I'm Asian), that hiring a full "team" of Cantonese-speaking staff is bad image and bad decision making on the management for any medical office. Period. At least definitely not for this place. The wonderful doctors unfortunately don't make up for the horrendous lack of service and respect from the front desk staff. Absolute disgrace. This is clearly a YOU issue and your end needs to fix the issue immediately, not send a message and consider it done. The last time a message was sent to the doc because of a prescription error, it took a full day for them to resend it. Do you guys run a healthcare center or a WhoCaresMinimalCare facility? If my son doesn't get his medication within the hour or two, we are going to head to the office and complain directly to the management and make it a point to other parents how irresponsible they are for treating pediatric patients the way they do.

His patience and genuine care for our baby boy are clear in every interaction we've had. When our newborn developed a fever just hours after being discharged from the hospital--around 2 AM--we called the office hoping to get an early appointment. The call must've been forwarded to Dr. Ortiz's personal line, and to our surprise, he picked up immediately and instructed us on what to do. It's rare to get that level of care anywhere. Although our baby's insurance isn't accepted at his practice, we've chosen to pay out of pocket just to keep seeing him. As first-time parents, having Dr. Ortiz's support and reassurance has made all the difference. The waiting area is clean. We never had issues with the front desk staff. We've been to the office numerous times now and haven't had any wait times longer than 20 minutes. *Bonus points because the clinic offers parking spots. You have to go in and request the fob which opens the gate.*

If you are sick and just want to come for a sick visit? Good Luck!!! I don't understand why they have such long wait time. My child's other pediatrician is also very famous and has great reputation but their office never make patients wait like this. At the most only 10 minutes wait.....They always ask patients to call on the "day of" for sick visits and they will give you a few time slots that you can come in and they always see the patient within 10 minutes.....therefore, there's no crowding at the waiting room at all..... This place really need to revise the way they schedule appointments and how they allot time to see patients.....

Reliable listener, calm persona, gentle character, loving pediatrician. Dr. Zeng is a one woman…read moreshow but her efficiency is unbelievable, especially since her office is located in the heart of Flushing. She works collaboratively with a very skilled nurse who, for the most part, does the basic procedures of regular check-ups. The nurse takes your weight, height, and blood. The nurse is very gentle when handling the needle. She tightly bounds your upper arm with a latex band and then carefully runs her finger over your skin to check for a vein. Before applying the needle, she wipes the surface with an alcohol wipe and then proceeds. She is so skilled that you barely feel the needle going through your skin and into your veins. Absolute professionalism! Afterwards, the nurse calls you into another room where you meet Dr. Zeng. In the other room, Dr. Zeng starts off by talking to you about your previous visit and marking your weight and height on a growth chart that tells you whether you are below average, above average, or on target. She then asks general health questions to assess your current condition and to see whether there are any problems that she should be aware of. After the verbal diagnosis, she begins the physical diagnosis by checking your blood pressure, eyes, nostrils, ears, mouth, lungs, stomach, and breast tissues (after puberty). From what I remember, she had the best staff and she was and probably still is a fantastic pediatrician!

She's been a doctor (who hasn't been in school for 22+ years) so she doesn't know a lot of the new drugs, etc. She does not diagnose professionally either. She only knows how to diagnose a cold, flu, fever, or stomach virus. Also she seems very shady. She asks questions that my OBGYN should be asking me, even though she is not a OBGYN. She also feels around the chest area, which one again is not her job, since she is a pediatrician and not an adult doctor, or an OBGYN.

We have been communicating with them for over five months, yet they still refuse to refund the overcharged amount. This is not just an issue with the front desk or billing department -- according to the staff, the doctor himself instructed them to withhold the refund.
