We strongly do not recommend this clinic, as their professional ethics are highly questionable. After accepting our insurance and seeing us multiple times, they suddenly told us they couldn't claim our insurance. We had our insurance company call them several times to explain how to submit the claim properly, but they kept saying it didn't work. In the end, they demanded that we needed to pay out of pocket for all past visits at the self-pay rate, or they would refuse to continue seeing us. However, later the insurance claims did successfully went through. Teddy Liu office received the payments -- meaning they collected money both from us and from the insurance company for the same visits! According to New York State regulations, as long as the patient has insurance, the patient should only be responsible for the co-pay; the rest is between the clinic and the insurance provider. We have been communicating with them for over five months, yet they still refuse to refund the overcharged amount. This is not just an issue with the front desk or billing department -- according to the staff, the doctor himself instructed them to withhold the refund. For the past month, whenever we called, the calls either got disconnected after several rings or didn't answer at all, completely avoiding the issue. read more

Dr Liu is a great doctor. However, ever since he moved to skyview everything changed... The old receptionists were very nice and friendly. They know both of my kids names by heart. The new ones are just...unfriendly (sometimes very rude) don't talk to you nor smile at you. Another thing that bothers me a lot is that you don't get to see Dr Liu anymore unless you requested. For the pass 4-5 times that my kids were seen by the PA. Don't get me wrong the PA is very nice and sweet but if my kids are sick and I bring them to "DR LIU's OFFICE" I expect to be seen by Dr Liu. read more

Dr. Liu is so professional. He looks young for someone who is so knowledgeable in the pediatric field. He's in depth and explains everything you need to know. Answers all your questions and concerns. It is usually a long wait to see him but it's because of his professionalism that many parents continue to go to him. He has a full staff who is always on top of things and is courteous and friendly ( Dr. Liu himself is very friendly to his patients and always engages in conversions with the kids). read more

Dr. Liu is an excellent pediatrician, very patient and detail. Staffs are very polite and professional too. They will call you back if they promised to. They remember every kid's name and faces. The only bad thing which is not Dr. Liu's problem is the elevators in the building are very slow and packed, you must squeeze in as fast as you can, otherwise you may have to wait forever. read more

I like him because he is also from my home town, so easy for communication. He is patient and professional. My son is 7-year-old now and has been suffering from nasal allergy since he was 2. It is Dr. Liu who gives us professional advice so we know how to deal with our son's allergy when the season changes. He is very nice with us and my son. The only thing that I am not happy with is the staff at the front desk. I love his previous staff better, they were more professional, calm and smarter. I still remember Betty, Ivy and another one (sorry I forgot her name. She always helped with the injection). The 3 of them used to be the dream team in the clinic. The current staff seem don't know what they are doing, not to mention about remembering kids' names, they even missed my son's appointment of his annual check-up (I always make an appointment for next year right after the current one is done). One time we mailed them the check, they called and said they never received it, while we checked our bank statement, the check was received and deposited already... This never happened when the dream team was there. The staff at the front desk are always in a hurry and are not calm at all, very messy. The other 2 ladies in the examination room are pretty good. And Crystal, too!! We love Crystal, she is very patient, professional, friendly and thoughtful. read more

Dr. Liu is amazing, my daughter loves him and always make her smile when ever she visit, and my daughter gets very upset when i say go see a doctor lolz..... but when you tell her is Dr. Liu is a whole other stories and she loves Crystal (PA) she is very professional and very caring just like Dr. Liu, love all the staffs there at Skyview, I am so glad he moved to Skyview no need to deal with scary elevators and is much easier for parking and the new staffs are great !!! definitely recommend Dr. Liu's office to all my friends and families, I am also glad that he has Crystal to help him out, now is faster visit and they both are great physicians, read more

Dr. Liu went to the hospital to check my newborn baby girl on day one and continued to see her now as a 19-months toddler. Although there's a wait at his brand new office and whole building, he has a special room for newborns to avoid all other babies/kids and there's NO wait for newborns. He provides very accurate assessment and has keen observation on baby's health and growth and he provides very detailed explanations and communicates very well. He will have good recommendations for specialists and other doctors when necessary, and have good solutions for any baby's situation. He also has a very very good physician's assistant who strongly helps and cares about your baby/toddler. All the receptionists help when they can. The only thing is if you are a parent who works M-F and can only go on Saturdays, the line is rather long. But the leather benches, clean hallways and office, toys, and pharmacy proximity add a nice touch to the wait. read more

I've been going to Dr. Liu since I was a kid and I will say that he is an amazing doctor. I love his old receptionists, they were all like family. He really cares about his patients, I've recommended him to many family members and friends. But now since he has changed to his skyview location, the service has changed. The new receptionist are so damn rude, you can greet them and they'll say "mm" like what is that? You can stand there waiting for assistant and they wont even acknowledge you until minutes after. I used to love this place growing up but, now things have changed so much. My family hates interacting with the new receptionists they give no type of respect. read more

I would not recommend to anybody, he doesn't know how to draw blood, he dipstick my baby for few minutes, after all the pain my son went through, he cant even find his vein, wth! The new pediatrician has np finding my son's vein, so i think is you the one who doesn't know how, i suggest you either hire a Phlebotomist or go back to med school, don't blame it on my son. read more

In the beginning, I thought he was a great doctor too. Every time my kids are sick, I go and he gives meds to make them feel better. However, with my 3rd child, I had to switch peds due to insurance issues and that's when I realized that he gives meds no matter how serious the illness maybe. Then I realized that there hasn't been once where he didn't give my children meds. For my second child, when we go for annual physicals, he stops explaining in details, expecting me to know things. Every child is different. I have to ask is she on track and he never attempts to explain. Always rushes thru appointments. The staff can be nice when they want to. If less ppl, they will be in good mood. I realized this pattern in the 4 years I've been going. I gave them 2 stars for cleanness of office since it's new. I have Medicaid cuz we are poor and doctor once prescribed something that my insurance wouldn't take. So I called office back to ask for doctor liu to prescribe generic brand. The receptionist Betty said it's only a couple dollars, pay for it. She was too lazy to get the doc to call back pharmacy for me??? I'm not sure the case, but if i have Medicaid, that just means my husband doesn't make much and couple of dollars shouldn't be wasted. I don't think they put our needs in their own interest. The other receptionist Ivy is just plain rude. The people that buy things for her to eat or drink, she is especially nice to them. So if you want good service, you need to bribe them? We as parents go to office when our kids are sick. Please consider our emotions and be more thoughtful. Notice how they ONLY have Chinese patients. Dr. Liu's service has degraded drastically maybe because he has too many patients now. Long wait & too crowded. He was my kids' pediatrician for years until recently we changed to a different and more caring Doctor. I won't recommend him anymore. His staffs have attitude problems and need some ethical training, be more courteous. They need to care more about the sick kids than just $$. Billing charges are overblown, ripped off, if your kids had a cough, a little fever, they might charge you as if your kids had a surgery. They might charge the maximum limit of what your insurance allows them to enter/approve, they know the max amount. So unless your insurance fully covers the charges and you don't really care/never check the charges (like I did in the past--my mistake, lessons learned), then you will mostly end up in paying an excessive inflated Doctor-visit fee out of your pocket. read more
