We had our insurance company call them several times to explain how to submit the claim properly, but they kept saying it didn't work. In the end, they demanded that we needed to pay out of pocket for all past visits at the self-pay rate, or they would refuse to continue seeing us. However, later the insurance claims did successfully went through. Teddy Liu office received the payments -- meaning they collected money both from us and from the insurance company for the same visits! According to New York State regulations, as long as the patient has insurance, the patient should only be responsible for the co-pay; the rest is between the clinic and the insurance provider. We have been communicating with them for over five months, yet they still refuse to refund the overcharged amount. This is not just an issue with the front desk or billing department -- according to the staff, the doctor himself instructed them to withhold the refund. For the past month, whenever we called, the calls either got disconnected after several rings or didn't answer at all, completely avoiding the issue.

She has a soft personality and a good commend for English language along with Mandarin and Cantonese. Above all, she is very knowledgable and patient. Lastly, my younger sister is still a patient of Dr. Shen's, and the doctor once called my sister after hour to ensure that my sister was released from her stomach torment. My daughter received a note from her school about getting a meningococcal vaccine. I called Dr. Li's office and scheduled an appointment for the next day. (An appointment is a must due to COVID). Walking into the office, it is obvious that they take COVID very seriously, as we were the only ones there (i.e. no double booking). Dr. Li met with me to express her condolences and genuine sorrow for my wife's untimely passing. The compassion and tear in her eyes was very moving as she provided words of comfort and encouragement. My daughter received her shot and Dr. Li carefully filled out the yellow innoculation card that my wife had maintained for our daughter since birth. Dr. Li is a physician who CARES about her patients. We are lucky to have her.

My child was diagnosed with autism at 2.5 yr old. After waiting 2-3hours @ MD office, around 12.40pm, I was notified that doctor was too busy today and she was going for lunch. my son was the only kid waiting at that time, T was still over 100. the longest visit time won't be over 15 minutes. is it not OK to have your lunch @ 1PM? she is not medically profesional nor having any sympathy. it had better to change doctor or never choose her.
