    Creek side tables.

The spicy chicken Bento is my fav here. It's actually spicy! You can also ask them to sub out the Cali roll if you're not in the mood for imitation crab, but there might be an extra charge. The ambiance in the back where you're sitting creek side is special. Try to secure a table back there. It's worth the wait.

Amazing food, beautiful front of house, and some of the most incredible service I have ever seen. Little Tokyo in Ashland was closed for quite a while ago, but after some remodeling, reopened in the Spring last year. A friend and I wandered by a few days before opening while they were soft launch testing, and chatted with one of the staff who told us their story. We promptly planned a group dinner for before film festival a week later. We were blown away by the quality of the food! Months later, tonight I went with a group of 7 which later turned into 9 for a special celebration for a friend. The initial group of 7 showed up around an hour before close, probably the closest typical large group timing to rude we could have been unintentionally. Our other 2 showed up 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and the staff were more than happy to take their order and serve! We snuck off to order a surprise dessert for the celebration, and they offered to bring out cheesecake on the house! After our night dining with them, the server even came out and took a photo for us (he just happened to know how to use a disposable film camera as well which was a bonus ) Tonight I had a Tokyo combo (rainbow roll and 6 nigiri) alongside a miso soup and another order of Scallop nigiri. That scallop nigiri (picture below) is without a single doubt in my mind, the best piece of Japanese cuisine I have consumed in my entire life. I spent $60 on my meal (which is on the pricier side but it absolutely shows in quality of what you get) and felt zero hesitation tipping our incredible server 25% on top of the base gratuity. Thank you Little Tokyo for the special nights to remember!!!

Excellent quality/value. Background music was relaxing and just what I needed after a stressful day. We started with the Brussels Sprouts appetizer. The sauce had buttery sesame oil, umami and roasted garlic. The Avocado Bomb was the bomb. LOTS of avocado balanced with crab and spicy sauce. And loved the Dynamite roll with scallops and tobiko on top. Great service and a most pleasant evening.

Seven tables with one small bar and a sole waitress and very clean inside located at the heart of the beautiful Ashland downtown offering multiple sushi rolls and bentos teriyaki style! One of the best bentos that I had since Japan trip with Spicy chicken and Korean Bulgogi with tempura and California rolls. The rice is well cooked and rest of the offerings are very good. The service was so fast and house Sake was hot and good. The seven tables were all full but our foods came out all at once and quickly. The prices were reasonable! I recommend this nice little Japanese restaurant in the most quaint small Oregon town that is the very last town before reaching California along the Interstate Hwy 5.

Stopped in Ashland while traveling home to California and stoped for lunch. Sushi in Oregon was never on my to do list but we gave it a try. It was hands down one of the best, possibly the best sushi meal I have ever had. Poke Salad, Lithia Roll, and Avacodo Bomb are all amazing. Side note...they allowed me to add wakame and cucumber salad to my Poke Salad and for my taste it took that dish from a 9 to a 14 out of 10. Feel free to add it to the menu and I'll name it:) Lastly, but equally important was that the young man serving us was top notch! He said he is learning from the sushi chef and if so the sushi world will be in good hands for years to come. This place is a must try even if it means going out of your way. Also...I have NEVER spent this much time providing such a detailed review. Chad

Enjoyed our experience today. Awesome experience for us and we we very satisfied today in Ashland. I was thankful for a meal that brought back memories for me. Great flavors served delicately and to our satisfaction. Posted some photos that back up my feelings. Could use more napkins.

This spot is fun snd flavorful! I extremely picky when it comes to sushi all the way down to the temperature that it is served at and this place hit it out of the park. Came in late night about an hour before close for a little snack on our walk. The service was fantastic as the waitress was cracking jokes. I'm always hesitant to go to places before they close but this place was open for a reason. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Easy to taste everything that was in the roll. Can't wait to come back!

What made this experience fantastic and over the top was the service. The staff was very accommodating to our two fur babies, and got us a spot outside. Outdoor seating is in a great spot. Near plants and a creek. The avocado bomb was delicious. We also ordered some sushi. Sushi was good, not great but definitely above average. They also cooked some salmon without any seasoning and some steamed rice for our dogs, since momma forgot their food in the car. They loved it. Again, the quality of service was outstanding. Our waiter was patient, knowledgeable and hilarious. Most importantly he took very good care of our dogs. Will definitely come back on our drive back home.

This is my new favorite sushi bar in Ashland. My last one raised their prices which put their quality to price ratio out of wack! Little Tokyo has the best quality sushi I've tasted in town. And the prices are very reasonable. Located right in the center of downtown Ashland! Great location. Great sushi. Great prices! My new go to place for my sushi and beer! Update: They added an item to the menu called a dragon ball! So delicious. Update: I cannot say enough about this place! It really is the best sushi in Ashland. I used to live in Japan so I do know good sushi. The owner is always running around either making sushi or cooking. Always making sure everything is correct! You can't beat that!

    Great place to eat!

I walked in and a staff member looked at me and continued with whatever he was doing in the kitchen area which is right to the right of where you walk in. I moved closer to the cash register and this staff member and I said "Table for 1 please". Then, he grabbed a menu and seated me. I would say the restaurant was 25% occupied. There seemed to be three staff members: One cooking, the guy who seated me, and then a lady taking orders and checking on people. I sat there and sat there watching others get seated, their orders taken, and then others receiving their food. Finally I walked up to the lady who was standing near the cash register and I said, "I've never been here so I don't know how this works so do I come up here and put in my order?". She said "Oh are you ready?". I put my order in and sat back down at my table. Shortly afterwards, my drunken noodles order came out and it was delicious. This review got two stars because the food was good. The service was terrible. I think maybe the lady checked on me once during my meal? I don't know why I got this treatment and maybe it was because I was a solo traveler but I have never been treated like this before even though I have solo traveled for years. I usually always leave a good tip too as a solo traveler but to be completely ignored was not good service. I even had to go up to the cash register to ask for my check when I saw the check being delivered to other tables. Great food but if you want the whole pleasant dining experience, skip Sawaddee and find a different Thai restaurant.

My co-workers and I were in town for work and were thoroughly impress at how fresh their sushi tasted. For starters, we had their lobster tempura, yellowtail carpaccio, Sunshine roll. and edamame. I probably would have preferred their regular tempura, but their yellowtail carpaccio was delicious. Another standout was their sunshine roll. For main entree, we each ordered a sashimi/nigiri set. Their selection of nigiri fishes were standard but good. As for dessert, we had shared their creme brulee which was perfect to end our meal.

In the rolls, the chef had an ability to pair ingredients that emphasized texture, all the while working in excellent flavors. The darru and surf and turf rolls were a highlight. The sea urchin roll was out-of-this-world, like a bite of delicious ocean. Starting with the wagyu sliders was a great contrast to the cold sushi dishes. Fatty beef, seared, with salty seasoning and pickles. Excellent! The service was struggling the night we went. They held us up at the bar 20 minutes past our reservation time. They only seated us because we gave up on waiting for an outdoor table. It then took 20 minutes to meet the server and order, and another 45 minutes to start eating. Ultimately the food exceeded the flaccid service. I will be back, but not on a night when I'm in a hurry.
