We visited our friends in the area. They wanted to take us to a nice restaurant and chose this place. The restaurant is very clean. We ordered several dishes and each was quite tasty. The service was very good as well and the food came pretty quickly. Overall, we were very happy.

Located in a plaza with plenty of parking. They have a cool painted mural of a Vietnamese scenery of a street. Plenty of seats for all types of groups. We didn't wait long for our vermicelli meal. My partner orders the chicken and I had the beef. Oh my, the beef was marinated well that it had a sweet tangy taste to it. Loved it!! I could have eaten more of the beef pieces. There were no cucumbers with this traditional dish. Depending on what you order, the menu is on the pricier side. Overall, I liked it and I would return. Not to mention there's a shoppers, TDBank and Starbucks there too.

The chicken mango salad was pretty good here. I would suggest maybe slicing the mango a bit thinner. This Vietnamese restaurant has a more fusion taste to me than authentic Vietnamese. It's still good. The Pho is decent and hit the spot considering we were craving Pho. Their Banh Canh looks good though now that I'm browsing their page and wished I saw that so I coi do order it when I was craving Vietnamese food.

Worth visiting.Good food . Tend to stick to the soups and beef or veg store fry. I don't dine in so can't say much about the ambiance .

The restaurant is nicely decorated, and within five minutes it was completely full. My dad ordered the specialty beef bone rice noodle soup. A second bowl came out just for the bone--holy moly! His only complaint was the noodles; he didn't care for the wide noodles. My sister got the bún bò Huế. The broth was excellent and approved by my parents, and it came with a generous amount of meat. My mom ordered bún cá and really enjoyed her meal. Each soup-based dish came with a plate of fresh vegetables. I ordered the grilled specialty platter. It was a lot of food, but everything was delicious. I also tried the salted iced coffee, which was just okay. They accept cash or debit only. Service was quick and efficient, and we were served tea as soon as we were seated. I highly recommend An Ngon Vietnamese Cuisine.

The restaurant was spacious and could seat a lot of people, but from other reviewers on Yelp, this place can get very busy. We were seated immediately and service was prompt. We ordered the following: 2 X Grilled Pork and Spring Roll with Vermicelli 1 X Grilled Chicken with Spring Roll Vermicelli Both the grilled port and grilled chicken were tender, and very flavourful. The spring rolls were crispy, large, but lacked a bit of taste compared with other restaurants. Overall, both dishes were good as well as the service. I would return to try Pho next time.

My friend and I have been planning to meet up for a while. Our schedules and her moving to Hamilton…read morethis summer had delayed our plan, but we got it together last Saturday. For years, I lived the furthest from the office in our department. Well, that title has been bequeathed to my friend, who lives 60 km from the office. Luckily, we don't need to commute for the rest of 2020 due to the pandemic. If it were a contest, I'd move further east to win... haha! We both love Thai food. I looked at my Yelp bookmarks and suggested that we do takeout from Funky Thai. She liked the name and said, "Let's get funky!" Our plan was to find a park to chat and chow down. She was game. She got to the restaurant a couple of minutes before I did and texted me. I saw the Econo gas station and my eyes immediately looked at all the red signage that Funky Thai had. It's in a completely nondescript corner. I pulled in. There is a patch of road that is gravel. So, if you're turning in too fast, I can predict wiping out when it's slick. I backed into a parking spot next to my friend's car. To see her huge smile again was wonderful. I haven't seen her since I was last in the office back in early March! We walked into the restaurant. It is takeout only. Tables strategically placed next to one another provide a fort-like structure. The woman came over. She was nice. We saw the menu posted on the side. I went with curry pad thai with chicken. You can also do a mix of chicken and beef, and other protein combos for an extra charge. She asked whether I had any allergies, as chopped peanuts go on top of the pad thai. Nope, I was good. This combo came with an appetizer. I chose the veggie spring roll, as did my friend. I asked the woman whether she had any canned drinks. Her response? "Go to the gas station. It's cheaper. It's $1.75 here." Wow! Talk about being honest and promoting Econo Gas. My friend got the pineapple cashew nut fried rice with chicken and beef. It sounded good. Considering that we both did a mini road trip to Oakville, we both needed to use the washroom. You can only use it only if you're a customer. We asked if we could. The woman first went to the washroom to check. She then came back and moved one of the Tetris-like tables away so that my friend could walk over there. Once she came back, it was my turn. The washroom was clean and spacious. My food was ready pretty fast. My friend's took a bit longer. Still, it was fast considering that we were the only folks there. While I was in the washroom, my friend asked the nice woman where we could go to eat lunch. She recommended going down to the waterfront. She said that there were many parks. Nice! We chose Bronte Beach Park and drove over there. Once we found a vacant park bench, we had our late lunch. My friend confessed that she ate her veggie spring roll driving over to the park. I knew that it was yummy just from that admission. The veggie spring roll is amazing. It is jammed full of veggies and glass noodles. It was large, crunchy, and so go with the sweet and sour dipping sauce. I'd come back just for the spring roll alone. My curry pad thai was nicely packed. It looked pretty. It tasted yummy. The noodles were perfect. The curry wasn't spicy. I went with mild, but I would do medium next time. The chicken was white meat, which was tender and yummy. I also got tofu, which was an added bonus. The veggies were delicious. I ate the whole thing. I didn't have a chance to take a photo of my friend's pineapple fried rice. She plowed into it, as she was hungry. It looked amazing. She loved it. I need to order some when I'm in the neighbourhood again. This Thai restaurant also offers Vietnamese food fare. I'd love to try some in future. We both paid using debit. The woman brings the machine to you. This eatery is in such an odd location, but it's definitely worth visiting if you're in Oakville. The service is quick and efficient. I had a great experience. So a neighbor of ours highly recommend us to try this Thai restaurant, I was very skeptical since the reviews were pretty low.None the less I did give it a shot today and was pleasantly surprised and happy with the interior, service and food. So I came here right after my doctors appointment and decided to get a couple of entrees to try out.I opted to stick with the lunch menu.My order was a spicy Thai basil chicken and glass noodles with vegetables and chicken.Every lunch special comes with a soup or spring roll, I got one of each. The spring roll were absolutely divine much bigger and stuffed well compared to many other Thai restaurant. The hot and sour soup was pretty standard. The main entrees came out within 10-12 minutes after ordering. Both the dishes were so so flavorful and the portions were generous.I also felt that they don't skimp on their meat. Both my entrees were loaded with meat. I ate as much as I could and took the remaining home for dinner. My server was this middle aged gentleman, he was fast and kept checking on me.He also packed my leftovers which I thought was super nice. The place itself is very clean and definitely not that bad as it may look from outside.I highly recommend going here for lunch special and more. I do look forward to coming here again to try out some more dishes with my family.

The setup is casual--you order at the counter like a takeout spot--but if you're eating in, they bring the food to your table, which is such a thoughtful touch (especially helpful when you have kids to settle). We ordered the classic banh mi, grilled chicken banh mi, signature rice bowl, fresh spring roll, Thai tea, and mango smoothie--then shared everything family style. Every dish was fresh and flavorful, and the drinks were a hit with everyone. The banh mis were so good that we're already planning to grab some for a future road trip. Prices are very reasonable, especially compared to grocery store banh mis, and the portions are generous. The service was excellent too--friendly, quick, and happy to recommend dishes if you're not sure what to try. Highly recommend Banh A'Mi for both dine-in and takeout. We'll definitely be back!

This family-owned small business has a lot of heart. Love their menu and offerings. As a new Milton resident, I was SO THRILLED to find a rare Vietnamese gem here. I have been back a handful of times already! Although it's known for their banh mi -- I can't stop ordering their pho! They only have two options: regular vs spicy beef pho. And all the herbs come IN the bowl already, not on a side plate. So it's a little different. But I love the sweet beef broth here. It's so comforting, and beats out the other pho places in Milton. I have also tried their shrimp fresh rolls, vermicelli dish, rice dish and cold brew coffee. Their coffees use Saigon Drip coffee - which is super smooth and packs a punch! Everything is tasty and has good portions. Bring cash for an extra 10% off! It may get busy during peak hours - so be patient. You can also pre-order takeout via different food apps. I love them and am happy to have them in my regular rotation of eateries in Milton!
