The interior feels more like a cafe to me, but they have good number of tables available. Coming during 10AM opening on the weekend wasn't too busy, you can definitely just walk in to get a seat. The menu has a lot of your classic dim sum items like Har Gow, Siu Mai, Chicken Feet, Beef Tripe, Spare Ribs, etc. I think the quality is pretty decent and the prices are definitely a lot cheaper than Pearl. We spent about $20 per person there. Since the restaurant is kind of like a cafe as well, they also have coffee and baked goods. My only complain would be parking situation as it doesn't have any parking lot, so you need to come early to score one of the street parking spots nearby.

Definitely one of my favorite study/lunch spots for an affordable, healthy, authentic homestyle…read moremeal. They have lots of combo deals for lunch and the portions are huge with amazing flavor. Service is as good as it gets, "Hong Kong style" service where the service style is sharp but efficient. They don't speak a lot of English here, mainly Cantonese so try not to make too many order modifications. The lady with the bob and glasses has been my server during my recent visits and she's always been on top of my order even when she restaurant gets slammed-- and it gets BUSYYY. I'm talking full house at 12pm on the dot and while I've never been for dinner, I'd imagine the same. The restaurant itself is also very small so they have limited seating. My favorite item to order is the 3 meat BBQ rice bowl (on the main menu not the specials), which comes with char siu, bbq chicken, chinese bbq sausage, a salted duck egg, rice, and broccoli. So hearty, generous portions and full of flavor. I just wish they'd peel the egg shell before serving though lol. I've also had their braised brisket soup with egg noodles and that was delicious as well. Not too heavy because the broth is quite light but it was filling and had a generous portion of melt in your mouth beef. Some reviews complained about the BBQ not always being available, but after seeing how slammed they get with both dine in and takeout orders, it's because they sell out FAST, because they're GOOD. Catch them during their opening hours (all BBQ gets put out at 11:15) and you'll have a better chance of having the full selection. This place is a gem, I've been wanting to gatekeep for a while now but more people outside of the East Asian community need to know about this spot in Oakville!

I love coming here for the lunch and afternoon tea special because it comes with a free hot drink (over $4 value!). The dishes are generally under $15 and the portions are quite sizable too! All the BBQ is prepared in house and you can see them restocking throughout the the day. Service could be slow at times and you might have a better time if you communicate with them in Chinese.

Overall food was good, and service were really friendly and fast. While some dishes were just okay, the Lamb Kebobs might be some of the best I've had the last decade or so. What took the show for me was definitely the lamb kebobs. I can literally just eat these and be thoroughly satisfied (maybe paired with some crispy naan....oh man....) . The kebobs themselves were crispy on the outside, and bursting with juice and flavor on the inside. I really loved how unlike most other lamb kebobs that had very chewy lean pieces only to be complimented by large chunks of fat, this place had very very tender lean pieces which had numerous smaller pieces of fat. This way the fat isn't too oily all in one bite, and was balanced out. The lamb organ soup was good, confused me a bit with the tomatoes, but it added a nice bit of freshness that lessened the organi-ness of the soup. The Lamb Polo's lamb leg was really tender, however it seemed a little bit bland, but the stir fried rice was really good with the bursts of sweetness from the raisins/apricots. The big plate chicken or "Chicken Stew" 's potatoes were stewed very very well. The chicken was flavorful, and best of all the noodles were just as you expect: really flavorful from all that juice/sauce, and perfectly bouncy. What I did not like as much was the spicy cold chicken. The dish overall was good, but not sure if it was intentional, but it was warm..... most of the chicken were strips of white meat which didn't absorb flavor as well though the sauce was pretty good.

We made a reservation beforehand, so we did not have to wait in line (the line was long at times). August 8 has an efficient ordering system; their menu is on an iPad and customers select what they want, send the order to the kitchen, and within a short time, the order is processed/dropped off by the waiter. We ordered rolls, sashimi, wontons, dumplings, and dessert. I was especially impressed with the sashimi, which was fresh and meaty. Some of the dishes, including the dumplings and wontons, could have been more flavourful.

Conveniently located in the mall, it offers all the classic dim sum favourites in a welcoming and elegant setting, much like its downtown Toronto locations. We visited on the weekend for dim sum, and the menu had all the must-haves: steamed dumplings, BBQ pork buns, siu mai, and more. Everything was fresh, flavourful, and well-prepared. The atmosphere is refined yet comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual outings and special occasions. One big plus is the relatively short wait time if you arrive around 11 AM. If you're coming later, you might have to wait, but reservations can be made in advance by calling ahead; something that's not always an option at dim sum spots.

After about 15 minutes, our soup had still not arrived. The waitress asked if we had had our soup and we said no. The restaurant was moderately busy, but they were also processing a lot of takeout. After our soup we awaited for the two other dishes we had ordered. We found it quite cold in the restaurant. The tea we ordered soon got cold. One of our ordered dishes arrived for us to start. After about 10 minutes, I asked for the second dish to be served. It arrived about 10 minutes later. In the meantime, of course, the first dish was stone cold and not enjoyable to eat. The second dish was very good however quickly got cold. I have eaten at pearl several times and like their food very much. The dishes are well prepared fresh and very good. We were quite disappointed with our evening meal as the service was very slow. The room was very cold. Our food was good, however, getting cold soon after it was served.
