    Peking duck

Visited Pearl for dinner. The service was great and the food came quickly. We ordered the Peking duck set dinner with a few extra dishes. The duck was pretty good! Instead of the traditional wrappers, they have fluffy steamed bao wraps. The quality of food is average overall...perhaps on the pricier side.

Overpriced. This is one of the most expensive dim sum restaurants in GTA and it isn't among the best. It's above average for sure but it's insanely overpriced. The order form doesn't show prices. Beware of this.

Yay a dim sum place that takes reservations! I've driven past the Pearl many a time on the QEW and finally had a chance to visit! We came here with a group of six for late lunch on a Sunday. The restaurant is located on the south side of Oakville Place where there was ample parking. You enter the restaurant from the mall. The inside of it is pretty nice, more on the modern side of things. We were given a paper menu to select what we wanted. This was in both English and Chinese. Most of the dishes had small, medium, or large sizes so we just circled which ones we want. Once we were ready, a waiter came by and read over our order with us making sure to note what we did select. We ordered a ton of BBQ pork plates with different outer packaging - rice noodle, steamed bun, pastry, and dinner roll style! I definitely enjoyed all of them but the pastry was outstanding. We wound up getting 3 orders of this one. Another dish that stood out to me was the shrimp toast! I've actually never seen this before at another dim sum place. Their mango pudding dessert comes in a super cute Hello Kitty shape which was delicious and hard to eat without destroying. They have a bunch of other pretty unique desserts including an almond milk and berry pudding. We had some leftovers so we got those packed to go in reusable plastic containers.

We drove from North York to try out this third location of the Pearl restaurant. Our Second visit today with our friends. Beautiful decoration and very good service. The STEAMED SCALLOP & SHRIMP DUMPLING 翡翠带子餃 and HAR KAU (SHRIMP DUMPLING) 雪花蝦餃 are tasty. Not too thick and good flavour. I like it how there isn't too much pork inside. The STICKY RICE IN LOTUS LEAF 古法糯米雞 was nice and big, good portion and delicious. No matter which location of the Pearl I go, I always order the SILVER NOODLE W. SHRIMP & CHICKEN 鮮蝦銀針粉, not a lot of Chinese restaurant serve this dish, good flavour and nice texture. Will definitely come back when we meet up with our friends at Oakville or in the neighbourhood.

This is my first time going to Pearl Oakville.  It is the same group as Pearl and Pearl Bayview.  The restaurant is located inside Oakville Place, which is the only mall in Oakville.  The decoration is elegant and service is fast.  Ordered peking duck, stuff chicken with shrimp paste (江南百花雞), stir fry vegetable with garlic, and two dim sums (siu mah and har gao). I am surprise they serves dim sum at dinner, although the price is $1 more than lunch time.  Dim sum is relatively expensive, average out $10, but both dim sum is really good.  Peking duck is not as good as J&Y in North York.  The wrap is thick and cold.  Stuff chicken is the signature of the night.  The presentation is so so, but the taste is delicious.  I almost ate half of the entrée.  We finished off with red bean soup and "lin go".  I am surprised that Pearl Oakville is a really good restaurant.  The quality is definitely comparable with the restaurant is Richmond Hill and Markham!

Way over priced I took a client there for lunch and the bill came out to $150 with no alcohol. Won't be going back.

Great dim sum. Always fresh and hot. A bit pricier than other dim sum places but the quality is great.

I went on a weekday, they were really busy with take out orders and walk ins with people getting their frozen dim sums. The only downside is they no longer have dine in available which is fine, I usually just take it to go and either eat in the car or find a park nearby. The prices have gone up a little bit over the years but that's normal with previous pandemic and inflation. It's still decent. I would say it's still the cheapest and most affordable dim sum place you can find in the area. They have the usual shrimp dumplings, siu mais, sticky rice with pork, bbq buns and plenty of other variety. We got quite a bit for lunch and also picked up some frozen ones so I can get my dim sum fixed at home. Hands down, I would be back when I run out of frozen dim sum even if it means driving 1.5 hrs to get here.

It is a popular choice by diners in the city's west end. Our table ordered: - [ ] Sui Mai - [ ] Vegetarian bean curd rolls - [ ] Steamed shrimp dumpling - [ ] Steamed shrimp rice rolls - [ ] Steamed barbecue pork rice rolls - [ ] Deep fried taro dumpling - [ ] Steamed Chicken feet in black bean sauce - [ ] Deep fried sticky pork dumpling The dim sum trolleys came out offering these dishes. Some of the items were served to us cold. The food was quite disappointing and many dishes were a miss for me. To clarify, imo the barbecue pork bits in the steamed rice rolls were really dry, deep fried taro dumplings were cold, skin on the chicken feet was undercooked. The server offered to bring a serving of hot deep fried sticky pork dumpling, which was refried and really chewy and dry. I have been to this restaurant on select special occasions for dinners when invited to attend. However, if given a choice, I would not recommend it for dim sum.

It's one of the few places in Mississauga and maybe even the GTA that still does the carts. A fun tradition, for people who don't know, is being able to flag down a cart with your favourite dish as it rolls by. Sometimes a quick way to eat but also may take a while for you to get what you want If it's on in the carts. I recently went with some friends and the experience was decent. We surprisingly got sat down pretty quickly (it's very busy on the weekend, no online reservation, can call in for reservations for big groups) and there were lots of carts going around with food. Some things came out hot and others were a bit cold by the time it got to us. You can always order if you don't want to wait for the carts. The food itself was a bit of a hit or miss. Somethings were very tasty like the scallop dumplings and curried squid but others were a bit soggy like the har gow or cold like the fried taro. Service is like your typical Chinese restaurant, very busy, fast pace. Tea is always filled but can be a bit hard to flag down a waiter. It's a very big space and lots of family like to come on weekends for dim sum (I believe the carts are only offered on Saturday and Sunday) . We were a small group so we got seated immediately but some bigger groups (10+) had to wait 30+ minutes. So plan accordingly or try making a reservation in advance. I still enjoy the dim sum here simply for the cart experience. Is it the best dim sum? I would say no, but it's always a good time with friends and family.

We showed up a little after 10:00 on a recent Saturday morning and the place was already pretty full. After perusing the menu for a little while, we opted for the Marinaded Beef & Shrimp with Chives Rice Noodle Roll and the Preserved Egg and Minced Beef congee. Both dishes were terrific. The rice roll was packed with flavor and tender pieces of meat, while the congee fared equally well. And both dishes were enhanced considerably by a liberal application of the tableside chili oil.
