So ... a few years ago I was looking for daycare for my daughter and I wasn't thrilled with the reviews of this place. So I drove totally out of the way for daycare. I heard by word of mouth that the place was good and decided to try it out with my son for the sake of geographical convenience. I like the energy of the director. The place is clean and Very convenient for me. My son had a hard time acclimating because he is kind of needy and I felt supported not just by his teachers but by all the other staff. After enrolling our kids in Little Learners Rockaway, we found it to be the best decision we have made. After a horrible experience at another day care, it was such a blessing to have our kids in a wonderful and safe environment. The teachers and directors are fantastic and truly make you feel like family. The facility is clean with age appropriate curriculum, rooms and playgrounds. Both our kids are thriving and happy to go in the morning. I could not recommend a day care/preschool more than this one. From management down, they make everyone feel like family and you see the enjoyment in the faces of the staff and children. We know our children are in excellent hands here. Disgusting. The infant room is dirty and the staff could care less. There have been times where they forgot to feed my child...? They put children to sleep with their shoes on and think it is ok to spray Lysol all around in the air while your child is sleeping. I have seen numerous infants sleeping with blankets covering their faces. The baby toys all have boogers and snot on them. My baby has been sick since we have started coming here. I would advise you to look elsewhere. read more

Harriet, Scott, Jason, and Merrill, the owners of this small chain of daycares are a dynamic bunch of people. They have 4-5 convenient locations in northern NJ. Rockaway, Denville, Sparta? and a couple others. This is a quality daycare. It is really run more like a school. They offer phonics reading and my daughter learned to read at 4 years old...or younger (?) can't remember... My daughter started first grade well ahead of her age bracket! That alone speaks volumes! The rockaway location, at 120 children is one of the largest daycares in New Jersey, but the quality is there. They offer coverage from 7am to 7pm, which is a godsend to parents who have life-sucking long days at work. While I have never been happy giving my daughter such a long day, I am glad that she is in good hands with the team over there! They address every concern, they are responsive, and they offer all ages from 6 weeks and up. Don't feel comfortable leaving your child to wait for the bus? They have before and aftercare programs for that too.! Without them I'd have gone insane a long time ago! so 5 stars for Little Learner Academy. You're the best. read more
