We work long hours so he's there all day (2nd kid in last one picked up), but he's very happy. The teachers are all very kind, the school is very clean, and there's lots of learning and stimulation. He hasn't been ill once (no fevers, ear aches, just the normal sniffles sometimes) which is more than I can say for any of my friends kids. This is because of the strict sanitary protocols there. They also have the best ratio of any daycare, and the teachers in his room are warm, happy, and patient women. All the teachers in general smile and seem to enjoy their jobs. I have absolutely no concerns when he is there, and he gets very excited when I am dropping him off. The school is very well run, and the owner Jeff is always there and knows all the kids and families well. There's a big outdoor play area and playgrounds, a gym area with a ballpit our son loves, a library with tons of books, and it's a nice modern building. They do lots of fun learning activities with the kids like hatching baby chicks, butterflies, zumba, yoga, and music classes. Also the price is the same as every other local daycare, but way more services. We checked them all out and are fully convinced we made the best choice with Special Spot.

Karrah is a dedicated director of the school and always stays on top of meeting expectations and children's individual needs. I wouldn't recommend any other place to accommodate your children ! There were two instances where I went to pick my son and found him in wet clothes. His teacher did not even bother to change his clothes (God knows for how long he was sitting in those wet clothes). I don't understand how come his teacher did not realize that he was sitting in wet clothes if I could figure it out in few seconds after seeing my son. When I asked the teacher why he was sitting in wet clothes she did not even care to apologize. In other few instances, I found my son's shoe laces untied and his teachers did not bother to help him tie the shoe laces. Also his teachers were so rude, at several instances I have noticed them screaming loudly at the kids. Thank god , I have recently enrolled my son in an another daycare. My son is loving his new school from the very first day and never wants to go back to the learning experience. This is the worst daycare I have even seen.

Making me waste my time meeting with her knowing she was not going to do anything to help me (keeping in mind she had already said this) , smirking and giggling when it was very evident that I was extremely upset about the situation , dismissing everything I had to say and taking 0 accountability as to how this has been going on for 3 months and she has once again done NOTHING to even try to help me hence why this is the first time I spoke to this individual in the 3 months this has been occurring is absolutely not part of the job she is expected to follow. I will never tell you to not bring your children here instead I would encourage it because again, the center, the staff, the love and care is amazing and truly what made me so sad to have to wake my child up from her nap to take her away from the place that she was so happy and thriving in all because Maura instead of saying "let's come up with a solution" or "let me try to see what I can do to help you" told me my child could not be at the center. However, I will say if you ever have an issue that for whatever reason cannot be solved through the center leadership team, let Maura be the last person you speak to. My experience with Bright Horizons has always been exceptional but it really upset me to see that someone like this represents a company that is so faithful to finding solutions for families.

This school is not a professional environment because of their lack of communication with parents. They do not give honest assessments of children's abilities, and are too wrapped up in promoting Montessori instead of looking out for the best interest of the child. This environment is not conducive to the child who needs extra reinforcement. They are too focused on the Montessori philosophy to identify into the learning style, and abilities of individual students. After transferring my child to public school I was met with the reality that my child was not prepared academically. This came as a huge surprise because after confronting the teacher and principal about my childs readiness. I was assured that my child was prepared. What an absolute let down, and pathetic disappointment that this school did not live up to its academic integrity. And please do not waste your time on the "fast track" education that this school offers, as it is nothing more than a business ploy. The administration should seriously re-evaluate their responsibility to the community and our children. They have become more of a business instead of being a responsible institution.

I got a new job which unfortunately moved me 12 miles away from Busy Bee. We love the school so much that I sucked it up for a full year and made two 24 mile round trips per day so my daughter could graduate there. We tried one of the large well known chains and there's no comparison. Busy Bee's small, family owned school made me feel like I was dropping my kids off with family.
