We've been here about a month and the experience is worlds away from what we've experienced at 2 prior daycares. The teachers actually care and learn how to treat each individual student. The turnover is not high, every staff member knows our children by name and greet them warmly everyday. If a child is having a tough day, everyone jumps in to try and help. No daily reports over things that children do as apart of growing pains/being a kid. So happy we moved to this location and truly wish we found it sooner. read more

As an update to my previous review, our son now attends Kindercare as well and we still couldn't be happier! The staff is always so happy to see him and everyone knows his name. We have had multiple staff members who aren't even his teachers stop us and tell us how much they enjoy having him there. Long overdue post. Beyond grateful to have had RCDC in our kiddo's life. We were transitioning from an out of state KinderCare, and wanted our son to continue with the same KinderCare family in NJ. Miss Jennifer was amazing throughout the whole transfer process, immediately making us feel supported. Ms Jennifer and staff helped our kiddo transition, thrive socially, plus were very accommodating when specific outside services were required. I cannot say enough how special RCDC was for our kiddo. I just want to start off by saying, this is the best place to be! My daughter has adapted and grown so much since enrolling here. Being a micro preemie, she has developmental delays and high functioning autism. This center allows all her therapists to have their sessions with her and she has been striving while meeting the markers for her age. She loves going to school and loves her teachers. This center really does love all the children here and does everything they can to ensure that you, as a parent, feel heard and safe leaving your child in their hands. Great with communication and awesome with keeping you updated. I really do appreciate all they do to make my life a bit easier when it comes to my child's growth and education! The quality of care they provide is awesome as well. My daughter has certain allergies and they make sure she doesn't come in contact by preparing her food separately from the others. My daughter is 3 years old and has been attending RCDC since she was 13 months old. The teachers there are amazing and they really care about the students. My daughter is thriving there and enjoys going to school every day. They also are very accommodating when it comes to her meat-free diet which is very important to us- other schools I interviewed wouldn't alter the menu and required we'd bring in food, however, they wouldn't decrease tuition. I was hesitant about having her return to the center due to Covid-19, but gave it a try and I was IMPRESSED by the systems they've put in place and I feel confident in the staff. The center director Miss Alaya is always willing to make time to discuss your needs and concerns and follows through with solutions. She's very sweet and easy to talk to. I would strongly recommend them if you are looking for exceptional childcare. read more

It is an absolute pleasure sending our toddler to Roseland. The staff are welcoming, kind, and patient with our son (who tends to have very big emotions). The staff and children are all very diverse, which is something we valued heavily when picking a daycare. We also greatly appreciate the regular updates that we receive throughout the day when our son is there, including pictures of him and updates about diaper changes. I am so pleased with the center. My son has been going here since August 2017 and my daughter just started in July 2020 when they reopened after COVID. I have been here through the days of Sue and Blythe and now with Alaya. I have seen multiple people in the management team after Sue left the center and was here through the rocky times. The thing that kept me here during those rocky times were the amazing teachers. There was never a day where I thought that my child was in danger or not being taken care of by his teachers. Alaya was given a mess a little over a year ago and has really brought together a great team of management who brought the center around. They have all been very open to listening to the parents on what was not working well under the old management and working with us to find ways to fix it. My son is currently in the preschool class with Ms. Dede and Ms. Christina and he loves it. He gets sad on the weekends when he realizes that he will not be seeing his teachers and friends. When he was home during quarantine we connected with his teachers and messaged them throughout because he missed them. These teachers really became a part of his life and treat him so well. Because of COVID, things are harder now since I don't get to speak face to face with his teachers as often as I used to but they do their best to write tons of information into his tadpole reports and send home plenty of pictures and videos through the tadpole app. They also come to the front door to speak to me at pick up if he is the last in the class, or will pop their head out of the outside door of the classroom to speak with me if I have a question for them. They have taught him so much in preschool this year in just over a month and I look forward to seeing him grow and learn more as the year progresses. When he moved up from his discovery preschool class we were so disappointed to leave behind his last teacher Ms. Judy but Ms. Dede and Ms. Christina have been just as good. Infant has been a little harder to transition back to as the teachers in the infant classes are different than when my son went through there so I don't have a previous relationship with them. I rely a lot on the updates I get from Christina (management) when I pick up as she is assigned to help out in the infant class (the management gets assigned to different classes to try to limit the exposure between classes). I receive constant communication from her teachers giving me information on when she slept and how much she has eaten. She just started walking so I am now getting regular phone calls about the normal bumps all 11 month olds go through when they are learning to walk and fall down. The calls from Ms. Julie are always so pleasant and she makes me feel reassured that she is okay and keeping me informed so I am not worried if I see a little bump. I get pictures of her playing with different things in the class. And just the other day I received the cutest video of them showing her laminated leaves and teacher her the colors. They really do a good job of finding ways to instill learning even in the very young classes. It was really scary to send the kids back to daycare due to COVID, but there is no one that I would trust more than the team at this center to do everything in their power to keep all of these kids safe. I have never once even caught a glimpse of an adult (in the building or even outside walking to their car) not wearing their mask properly. Unfortunately, not being able to go into the classrooms, I cannot say what they look like but I know before COVID they were constantly cleaning and they would have a bin for toys that needed to be sanitized which they would add to during the day and not bring back out until they had been cleaned. We send in a clean blanket and mask every day to reduce germs and no outside toys are allowed in (even for their normal Friday show and tell) as they are reducing the germs everywhere they can. There are strict rules around returning to the center after being sick and take the kids temperature and ask the health questions every morning during drop off. My daughter just started daycare for the first time so I have no doubt that she will get sick several times this winter even with all of the precautions that they are taking (as she already has actually) but it has been so much less in the first 3 months in daycare than it was with my first child, which goes to show just how much they are cleaning (because lets be honest, babies have no immune system and put everything in their mouth so they are going to get sick). read more

My son has been going to Roseland since he was an infant and has always been treated well - it has been obvious the teachers care about him personally and work tirelessly to create engaging and enriching lessons and activities. He has really flourished in both his academic learning and social skills. We pulled him out in March when the COVID pandemic hit and started back in September. He is 4 and I was worried about his safety, but have to say, I have been pleased with how seriously the center takes COVID precautions and feel that he is as safe as he could be in a school/daycare setting. All three of my kids started at the Roseland Child Development Center at 4 months and all attended through PreK. We loved it there. Over the course of 9 years, the teachers and administrators became family. On our last graduation day, I cried in Ms Christina's arms because I was sad to be leaving our family behind. Ms Christina is now part of the administration and I couldn't be happier for her. She was an AMAZING teacher- so much so that I wanted both of my little kids to have her. She is a great administrator because she is able to coach teachers to get the best out of them. In addition, when there were bumpy days, she was always transparent and honest and helped resolve the issue. Aaliyah has been the Director there for over a year which is fantastic because she also brings a consistency to the day to day lives of the families who attend. She's a strong presence for the teachers as well. read more

My 2 year old son has been enrolled in Roseland Child Development Center since he was months old. He was ok in the Toddler classroom with Miss Maggie but then was transitioned early to the Preschool class and things went downhill fast. My husband and I no longer received detailed reports on what he did and ate. The daily reports seemed like they were generalized and copied and sent across for all the kids in the class. We know this for sure because on days we picked my son up early from daycare, we'd receive his daily report listing food he supposedly ate and diaper changes he supposedly had for the times when he wasn't even there! The teacher to child ratio in this classroom seemed like 1 to 15-18! There are other issues with this facility. The front desk staff are sometimes not at the desk at all when I code in to enter the building and not there when I leave with my son! Anyone with the code can walk away with any kid! And strangers...come on on! If the staff were there they don't look up to see who's walking into the building! Where's the security here? The last straw which resulted in taking my son out of this horrid place was the teachers in his classroom forgot about him in the playground when the entire class came back into the building! My 2 year old was left alone outside in 90deg weather for 45 mins!!! Then when they finally realized he was still outside it took the Director over an hour to call us about the incident! This was just so unbelievable and frightening! No parent should ever, ever, ever have to fear leaving their child at a daycare. You pay for piece of mind knowing your child will be well taken care of and most importantly made safe! This is definitely NOT the place for that! read more

Our kids have been going to this daycare for a few years now and they absolutely LOVE it. They have learned so much and I'm really glad that we came here. All of the teachers and administration are so nice, kind, and accommodating. The place is clean and now with COVID they are taking all the necessary safety precautions. Everyone is wearing masks and they are doing temp checks at the door.. Ms. Alaya as well as all of the teachers have always made sure that our kids are taken care of. My kids enrolled CCLC 4 months ago, when we moved to the area. I was really worried about their adjustment as they had a very hard time getting used to their previous daycare but Sue Kwasnik made sure they had a great first day, and that was it! From day 2, I drop them off, and they run to the class with a huge smile on their face! Sue is always there, making sure that every kid is well taken care of and everything runs smoothly. Ms Alvina and Ms Alannis are really loving, caring and so much fun! Every day is a new great adventure at CCLC, with educating activities, crafts, playing. I was shocked the other day when I realized my 3 year old son can count to 30!! I think I made an excellent choice with CCLC! read more

My son started attending this daycare/school when he was 3 months old, and now he's almost 3 yrs old. When he was younger, I look at it as sending him to the daycare to be taken care of. As he grew up, I think of him going to school. He's learning more and more from school every day. Once in a while he would show me new things he's learned at school. He's very good with animals now. They are learning about bugs these days. The other day, when I ask him how many legs a spider has, he said 8. He's definitely learning a lot at school. I know that if he stays home, he wouldn't have learn as much. I am please with his progress at school and hope that he will learn more and more every day. read more

This place is the premier daycare facility in the area. We have been there with our first daughter who graduated a year ago and our second daughter has been there the past 2.5 years. It is amazing how much the staff cares and how well they teach the children. Plus, the have a great cook who encourages healthy eating. It is a place where you can feel comfortable that your kids are in great care. The price is worth it and is competitive with other facilities in the area. My 3 year old son has attended Roseland CDC since he was 3 months old. The care that he receives everyday is unparalled. The Director and his staff are truly amazing and take the job of caring and teaching children very seriously, but are still able to make it fun! The Center also has a chef on site and the children are treated to hot and cold breakfast, lunch and snacks.....can't ask for more! The curriculum and enrichment programs are amazing and my son comes home each day full of stories about his day. I enrolled my child there recently I am very unhappy with how the management runs the business. Nobody knows anything and management is all over the place. Every time I ask someone from management a question, I get a different response every time. This place is very dysfunctional and they seem to have difficulty running this business. Our daughter has been attending Roseland Child Development Center since she was 3 months old. She is nearing 8 months now and is soaking up the structured lessons the center provides like a sponge. Calling the center a daycare is doing it a disservice, because no matter how young the child there is lesson for them. My daughter has begun to sharpen her motor skills, sit up, and eat solid foods more efficiently than many other children her ago thanks to her teachers Ms. Lisa and Ms. Sotoko. We are always greeted with a warm and sincere smile from the staff and I have never felt hesitant when leaving our child. One of the perks of sending your child to a school such as Roseland Child Development Center is "Date Night". The school keeps the kids until 10 pm! You can use that time to sleep in or catch a movie with your special somebody. I honestly am thrilled to have people I trust watching my most prized possession :) read more

This rating is based on the customer service and lack of communication. I've heard great things about this center and contacted them to inquire about their tuition and fees to see if it was in my price range so I could then take a tour. I do not live in the area and was moving from out of the state and yes for our family price is a factor. A staff member emailed me back offering a tour of the facility. I explained to them that I was moving into the area and would be starting a job soon after and basically just needed some basic information on availability and price to see if I should schedule a tour. I didn't want to waste THEIR time or mine. They never even replied to that second email. I respect the fact that you may not reveal tuition over the phone or email BUT JUST SAY THAT. She could have easily explained that as a policy they don't discuss pricing until a tour or interview is had BUT they didn't they just...didn't respond. I consider this rude and unprofessional and shady. read more

My son started June 2014 in the Toddler program. I was nervous about how the transition would go but the staff was kind, friendly and made my son feel welcome. He has now transitioned to the Discovery Preschool program and I can't say enough of how happy he is and how much I've seen him grow socially and academically. You can tell that all of the staff members genuinely care about all of the children. It's hard leaving my son to go to work but I know that he is in good hands! The center offers flexible hours (7 a.m. -7 p.m.) and 2 meals and 2 snacks for the kids. I looked at a few daycares in the area and none of them offered what Roseland CCLC has to offer. From our initial visit I could already tell the difference and that we would be happy there! Great place! I have all three of my children attend this center and have had a great experience overall, and most importantly the kids love it there! Their hours are great, they provide lunch and snacks which is super helpful. The staff is excellent - I have had a great experience with most of my children's teachers, they all really care for the kids and provide excellent care. And the admin staff is very nice and accommodating. Lastly, they offer a Parents' Night Out program which is fantastic! I can't say enough good things about this place. This is the best place I ever found for my toddler boy near Livingston area. I did a lot of research when I decided to send my two year old to a day care center. This center was highly recommended by our Livingston mom & Dad community. The other moms told me how happy their kids were in this place. I think I'd better listen to their experience. I made the right decision! the center is very clean. the teachers are very nice. They take very good care of my child. The director Ms. Susan, the teacher Ms. Alvina and Ms. Alana are wonderful and very caring! My son loves to go to his class, loves his teacher Alvina and Alana. After being there a few months, my son is healthier, making friends and more social with other kids. By the way, they provide wonderful breakfast and lunch. there are many programs and they teach a lot of art works. I can't believe my son is making so quick progress when I see his art works! read more

I am so happy my daughter attends this school. When we first visited, the director, Sue, picked up on signs that my daughter preferred one class over another and made sure she was placed in that class. The teachers in my daughter's class are very calm and patient and never seem annoyed or tired! The facility is secure and in a quiet location, and they have fenced in playgrounds on site. I appreciate the extra activities they plan for the kids and their families like Parents' Night Out and seasonal/holiday parties. The hours are the best I've seen for working families. read more
