Deciding to put our almost 2yo daughter into daycare during the pandemic (Feb 2021) was a tough decision, but her lack of socialization was starting to show and we knew it would be better for everyone's mental health if we could take this step. Cresthill Academy has been an absolute gem. The teachers are loving, the facility is clean, and my daughter has grown so much both socially and academically. The organic food program is a huge convenience aligned with our values. The Mandarin program is great. They supported us through a (mostly) painless potty training. Ms Ally (director) is excellent about communicating with parents, especially through the many changes with COVID. Ms Nisha, who leads the 2yo class is especially a gem. My son was enrolled at a larger chain daycare. I am a first time parent so I figured go with the most popular daycare thinking they would be the most experienced and caring. My company even recommended them. From the first day of dropping him off I saw he would roam aimlessly and cry a lot and not get individualized care or even smiles. The people working there (except for one) were all miserable and there to make their paycheck. After several months of guilt and having enough of all the changes they made to meet their needs instead of the needs of the parents and children I decided to look around. I was tired of hearing comments like oh maybe he wants to eat what the other kids are eating (no thank you I don't want to feed my son lean cuisine or fruit soaked in syrup). I googled organic daycare's and I found Cresthill Academy. From the minute I stepped into the daycare for the tour I was greeted by a very cheerful and passionate Director and Owner. Taylor and Christina have the children in their care as their first priority and the parents comfort is their priority as well. They invited me to bring my son for a full day to test it out and invited me to stay for the full day as well. I took them up on their offer, here is what I found: Pleasant and cheerful staff all day The children love their staff The food! All organic/non-gmo (would you want anything else for your little ones) The technology is amazing! All day I get pictures and videos of my son sent to me email! My happiest moments at work are when I get those emails of my son dancing or smiling and laughing and engaging in great activities Sports programs for 18 months and older to start in March A very engaging summer program Very clean, large and sunny room A large indoor playground for use during winter and rainy days Large, private, safe outdoor playgrounds Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack all served again all organic/non gmo including milk! Do I need to say more? Upon knowing all this you may be thinking that the cost will be an arm and a leg and not even call them...but that is the amazing part...all this care for your special ones will cost the same as your paying now for those larger chains. My old daycare was 5 minutes from home. We now travel 40 minutes through traffic to take our son there. It is worth it at the end of the day when he runs to me and says "Happy, Happy". My 4 month son started infant care at Cresthill Academy about a month and a half ago and I cannot be happier. This day care is such a breath of fresh air. I have toured a lot of day care centers, I am a former day care teacher and as a current director and teacher of a learning center, so I had a number of questions. The director (Taylor), the teachers, and staff are all very knowledgeable, accomodating, and nurturing. As soon as I walk in the door, the teachers know my baby by name and welcome us with a smile on their faces. After a long morning, it is so nice to feel so welcomed. Also, my son has also fallen in love with his teachers. As soon as they open their arms to him, he puts the biggest grin on his face especially with Ms. Olivia. It is such a relief knowing that my son is happy to be at day care. At the end of the day, the staff emails us his daily reports, which are so convenient. It lists his feedings, naps, diapers, activities and even pictures. Oh, and they sometimes email you pictures during the day, which is amazing!!! Cresthill Academy relieves some of the stresses with being a full-time working mom. Hope this helps with your decision. They are definitely worth a tour!!!! read more

There are no amount of words that can praise the staff and environment at Cresthill Academy. Our family can't thank them enough for creating such a fun, educational, adventurous, and most importantly a loving environment, that has allowed my two little ones to grow, thrive, learn, and feel loved on a daily basis. This is for the Hoboken location. Very calm inside. Children seem to be adjusted, engaged and happy with their caregivers. I love the security settings and the organic food addition. Only one other school I know operates this way. The director and regional manager seems to be around often, which is great. The place is spotless and employees sweet and they tend to the children. Not one bad review about this place. The curriculum provides stutter but is also relaxed because kids are kids, and won't focus otherwise! Wonderful setup! Definitely needed for the area'! read more

My son is 2.5yrs, we started him at Cresthill June/2015. We looked at so many daycare's within the area, but when we went to visit Cresthill both my husband and I just feel in love with the place. Both Ms.Taylor (Director) and Ms. Christina (founder) were so welcoming. We've seen a huge difference in our son from June/2015 till now. Every morning he has to see Ms. Taylor and greet her, until she wont say good morning he will wait by her door :) They offer a lot of different activities for the kids, he loves yoga and dance (which is what we've enrolled him in) Now that he is in the older class Dolphins, he's become a lot more talkative, is learning his numbers, day's of the week and a lot more. Also, best part is pottery train. Ms. Lucy has been a great help in helping us with this, we do it at home and he has been doing great in school as well. They offer organic food, which is great. All his teachers were great in helping us with his transition since he's been there. There is a app called "Tadpoles" where they update on a daily basis pictures, videos and daily reports at the end of each day of your child. He use to and still is at times a shy kid, but overall he has become a chatter box, interacts with other kids and gets involved in things when we take him places outside of school. My son JC has been going to Cresthill since it opened. He loves going there and seeing his toddler friends and his teachers. They provide music time, yoga, activities, lots of arts and crafts and he learns so many other things, like clapping hands , waving bye-bye, and right now starting to walk. We are so lucky to have found Cresthill!!! Taylor always responds the same day to any questions we have about the administration of the daycare for things like inclement weather or events. Katelyn is the nicest and most capable caregiver we could have for our son, while we are at work. When he gets older, Cresthill will provide him with GMO free healthy meals and snacks, he will learn about touch pads, learn how to speak mandarin as a second language, and so many other great things. read more

Picking a daycare took a lot of time in order to find the best place for our son since we had to be back at work when he was only 3 months old. I am so glad that we went with Cresthill Acadmey in East Hanover. From his first day, we have always felt comfortable with him being here. He is now (almost) in his 4th month with Cresthill Acadmey; he loves art time, his teachers and his friend in his class. My only regret is that I didn't find this daycare sooner. Cresthill academy in Lyndhurst is as good as it gets and a true hidden gem. It always starts at the top, of course. We left another daycare in Rutherford because it was poorly managed. Mrs. Joan is warm, incredibly caring and wise. Her staff adore her and so do the kids. At first the place looked small and in retrospect it is a really good thing safety wise. The teachers are amazing, The food is healthy and organic, the rooms are very clean and the kids aren't sick all the time as in other places. This is a really well run daycare in every way. They really know what they're doing. If I was a teacher or day care worker this would be the kind of place I would want to work at. I wish my family had found this place sooner! We have no complaints and we're never leaving. read more

Let me start by saying that we have brought over 4 kids in total from other schools/home car to this school, that is how much we love it! WE met Miss Brittany at the East Hanover carnival last May and absolutely fell in love, even our son was loved her. Our son started just a few months later and we have never even looked or thought about somewhere else. This school is amazing with everything from the staff, the cleanliness, the price and everything else. My son is learning to speak Mandarin and Italian....AND sign language. He is mentally stimulated! He comes home and we can tell how much he is learning. I feel comfort in leaving my son here knowing how happy he is. We are always treated with respect and we feel like the staff really care about the children. The food they serve is amazing and teaches children to not only eat healthy but to eat a variety of different foods. I can't say enough good things about this school. Also, they send pictures of your children to you along with a daily report to your phone during the day and a final report at night! The building is secure as well. My husband and I are full time working, 1st time parents and relatively new to New Jersey with no family or friends near by. Needless to say I was a nervous reck leaving my son but we had a great experience from our 1st visit and each one after. We enrolled in November and we have nothing but great things to say. It is a warm loving and happy place, my 5 month old son smiles everyday when I drop him off and is smiling when I pick him up. As hard as it is leaving him each workday, I feel confident that he is receiving great care and learning everyday. When searching for a daycare for my twin boys, it was a top priority for me to find a place I could entrust my precious "babies" to all day. I searched high and low, and randomly came across Cresthill Academy through a mail ad (which I normally would have thrown right into the recycle pile). During my initial consultation visit, I instantly felt a connection with the school's director, Miss Taylor and its founder, Ms. Christina who were both so warm and welcoming. The school hallway was very inviting with artwork from the students. I stopped searching for other day care centers because I decided as soon as we left our visit, that CA was the place for my boys. My boys were not saying many words when they started at 21 months (Aug 2015) and barely even socializing with each other. However, a few months in and they became non-stop chatter boxes, spit out the alphabet, numbers, and colors as part of a conversation, saying and waving hello, and hugging the staff. CA has brought our boys a new experience that has allowed them to thrive, far beyond I could have imagined. The entire staff is due credit for such thorough lesson plans and engaging with the children as if they were their own. As added bonuses, CA only serves organic and/or non-gmo meals and communicates via an app (Tadpoles) so you can see photos/videos and the lesson plans for the day. I believe everything happens for a reason, and it was a sign that I actually looked at that mail ad rather than tossing it away. I would highly recommend CA to anyone looking for educational child care with a staff that I wholeheartedly trust my boys to be with all day long. read more

I can't stress enough how worried I was picking the right preschool for my son. From the very first phone call I must say it has been nothing but an amazing, fulfilling experience for both my son and myself. The place is beautiful. It is open and spacious with large classrooms, and always clean! The kids are well behaved and the staff feels like family. They are always available to talk and they treat my child as if he was their own. They are patient and understanding and give my son such individual attention and care that he needs and deserves. My son has learned so much in such a short time and can't wait to go to school each day. His emotional and intellectual growth since he has been at Cresthill, is astounding and makes me feel good about the decision I made. Cresthill isn't just a preschool, it's a family.
