I also noticed unexplained scratch marks on my child's face, and many of the teachers had noticeably long fingernails, which raised concerns. Additionally, there has been a child abuse scandal involving this daycare brand at their Columbus Circle, NY location.

My child had such an amazing experience, had such lovely humans love and care for her and received nothing less than great education during her time there. However, if you ever have an issue that you need to discuss beyond the center leadership team please let Maura Ryan be the last person you speak to. Unfortunately I had a tuition related matter to discuss in which the Center Director believed deserved to be escalated to her boss (Maura) and what a horrible experience that was. Before even meeting Maura had made on 2 separate occasions the same comment stating "I don't know what she expects to happen. I am going to help her" and unfortunately was not very mindful of her surroundings when making the comment. How sad and disappointing to hear that an individual who has never met you and knows nothing about you AND works for Bright Horizons FAMILY SOLUTIONS already had no intention of giving you a solution. Nonetheless, I gave her the benefit of the doubt , thanked her for meeting with me and explained the situation. Unfortunately, as expected Maura was of no help.Instead, she presented a very condescending attitude, smirked after every word/point I tried to make, constantly spoke over me and eventually told me that effective Monday (this conversation was yesterday, Thursday 01/23) my daughter would no longer be allowed in the center if tuition was not paid in full KNOWING that the meeting was about the error that someone on her team made with my tuition. I understand business is business and that just like all of us who have our children in child care, she has a job to follow. Making me waste my time meeting with her knowing she was not going to do anything to help me (keeping in mind she had already said this) , smirking and giggling when it was very evident that I was extremely upset about the situation , dismissing everything I had to say and taking 0 accountability as to how this has been going on for 3 months and she has once again done NOTHING to even try to help me hence why this is the first time I spoke to this individual in the 3 months this has been occurring is absolutely not part of the job she is expected to follow. I will never tell you to not bring your children here instead I would encourage it because again, the center, the staff, the love and care is amazing and truly what made me so sad to have to wake my child up from her nap to take her away from the place that she was so happy and thriving in all because Maura instead of saying "let's come up with a solution" or "let me try to see what I can do to help you" told me my child could not be at the center. However, I will say if you ever have an issue that for whatever reason cannot be solved through the center leadership team, let Maura be the last person you speak to. My experience with Bright Horizons has always been exceptional but it really upset me to see that someone like this represents a company that is so faithful to finding solutions for families.

My child is well taken care of and even though we just started the staff all know my family by name. Highly recommend for all children because the curriculum is excellent. It is not just a 'daycare' but they strive to prepare our children for Kindergarten and help with socializing, sensory stimulation, nap schedules etc. I also love the additional activities and philanthropic fundraisers they support. Everyone I know also speaks so highly of this location from the clean facilities to the staff. I miss my child during the day but the TLE app keeps me updated and sends pictures.

TLE is a great fit for some, but the 20 kids toddler (16 month old) classroom size & 4 teachers,…read morewas too overwhelming for our daughter, who stopped eating and drinking altogether. So we had to un-enroll her. Also had an experience where there were only 2 kids in the class around 7:45am, and 2 teachers. One teacher was holding a crying toddler, yet the other teacher neglected to comfort our daughter who was screaming at her feet, while she continued to talk to the other teacher. She only interacted with her when she saw me looking at her from the side window. This was day 3 of my daughter being enrolled there. Which completely broke my heart seeing this as a first time day-care mom. I spoke to the director and requested a specific teacher be assigned to my daughter because I noticed she was the most nurturing from what I'd seen, but was told they could not honor my request and assign a specific teacher cause they don't take requests. A few kids had yellow snot running down their noses which also resulted in my daughter having a terrible flu for 2 weeks. Stopping in a couple times during the day we also noticed that her bottle and food was placed on the table and left, and if they dropped or she didn't eat, there'd be little attempt to ensure she has something in her tummy. So she was always extremely hungry and cranky when we picked her up and drank 2 bottles on the drive home from roseland to Montclair. Our experience was not the greatest, but yours may be different. Eventually, her stopping eating and drinking after a week of being there forced us to remove her & we appreciate miss Tessa understanding and issuing us a partial refund.
