My son was so excited to go to school and his first day of school there was no excitement upon entering in the morning. Before September ended he came home with a bite mark on his arm that none of the teachers noticed. It was bruised enough he must have cried and he was very mushy when I picked him up. Soon after this incident, a few weeks later I picked him up with scratches next to his eye that I noticed right away and was not notified. As per the hand book parents are to be notified for anything above the shoulders. For the rest of his school year I fought to advocate for my son while constantly being yelled at by his teacher and nothing was done or changed. I looked for new schools and did not have any luck finding one. This year thank GOD we found a new school and will not have to come back to this horrible school. Last thing, they charged us a security fee for the next year without asking if we were going to be attending and took the entire summer to submit a refund. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO ANY OF THESE SCHOOLS!!! read more

My son's daycare closed quickly and only gave us 6 weeks notice. We were devastated that his routine was changing as well as him leaving all his friends. Lightbridge Academy surpasses any other school that we have encountered. The atmosphere of this school is fun and energetic and the enthusiasm to learn has her thriving in all aspects. They have exceeded all our visions and worked together with us to introduce the world one piece at a time. At 3 years old she has not only been taught sign language but also has quite a large vocabulary and the ability to convey and understand her emotions. deciding which daycare is the best for your child is always something that has to be done very carefully. After searching and searching for what would be the best option, not only for my son; but also for us as parents. I am extremely happy with the decision we made in choosing Lightbridge Academy West Caldwell. My son is super shy and doesn't talk much. He is from a bilingual family and we were afraid that he would not be able to understand them. This daycare offers Camera View in all the classrooms where my son is at the moment and we are always aware of all the activities that my son does though out the day. when he sleeps, when he eats and when he goes to the bathroom, etc. My son is now in Brown Bears classroom and he loves his classroom, his teachers Ms. Dana and Ms. Erica and all of his classmates. The treatment given to my son is special from everyone and I am very grateful for the work they do every day. My son has made a lot of progress and is learning a lot. I would always recommend them. They are sweethearts and are very understandable. I know that to take care of children you have to have a lot of patience and have that gift of affection for children and this is the environment that they project. We absolutely love this wonderful place! Our son Matthew started in young infants with Ms. Christina and Ms. Paula, and he's now in mobile infants with Ms. Carolina and Mr. Eric. And we love Ms. Gale!! His and our experience has been so amazing! All of his teachers have been so sweet and attentive with him, and are so great at communicating with us how things are going. My son attended in 2021 for a whole 5 torturous months. I thought I was making the right choice given the fact that they have cameras. I was very wrong. He would constantly come home with injuries and bruises, burnt skin from sitting in his feces for so long, starved on most days. There was nothing productive going on all day. Kids run rampant and are left to make up their own entertainment. I complained, nothing was done. In his last week there I witnessed from the camera my son climbing up and jumping off bookshelves with other kids, kids walking around with adult scissors, the director Randi yelling at my son, and an incident where my 2 year old son was taken into the main office to be "talked to" about throwing blocks. Children need activities and supervision. Just an FYI for parents looking for a daycare NJ.gov under the department of children and families has a licensing section which lists all daycares and any complaints associated with them. Do your due diligence and check this one out before enrolling your precious children. October 2022 they were cited for "a child found walking unsupervised on the road 100 yards from the center and found by a Good Samaritan." read more

Not sure why there aren't more recent reviews! We have two kids in Lightbridge Academy, one is 2 and another is in the infant room. Miss Gabriella and Miss Stephanie are THE BEST! My son truly gets so excited to see them both and loves being at school, running to the door when we pull up. He always comes home happy and clean! Our infant is newly registered but Miss Christina and all of the teachers in the room are so caring as I was concerned he was so little to start daycare but they put me at ease! We recently started sending our 8 month old son to Lightbridge Academy and we are very happy that we did. My son was attending a different school before this but his eyes were always full of tears every time I pick him up and it broke my heart. It wasn't an easy decision to switch his school during pandemic but I'm so glad we did. The teachers are very caring and very professional. My son seems so much happier when I pick him up. I just Love Lightbridge Academy. As a grandmother I have the ability to sign onto the video camera and watch my beautiful granddaughter play and learn. Her lead teacher Christina , is so attentive. She and her other teachers Maryann and Nagwa are constantly playing with and reading with the children. The most impressive thing about Lightbridge Academy is the child and teacher ratio. I don't worry about my granddaughter getting attention. The teachers all work together in perfect harmony. They spend time caring for all the children and their actions clearly show the love they have for their job and those in their care. After looking at several places for our 18 month old son, we decided on Lightbridge in West Caldwell. The place is beautiful and clean and the security and camera set up is great, it makes you feel very comfortable in regards to the safety of your child which is so incredibly important. The director and assistant director Randi and Colleen are wonderful, lovely and so accommodating. My son is so happy here! He has his favorite teachers whom he lights up when he sees them, he waves goodbye to me with a smile on his face everyday... that is the ultimate reassurance that your child is happy and in the best care. We are so pleased with Lightbridge Academy. Our daughter attended another daycare previously, but she was always sad upon pick up. She would always be ravenous. At Lightbridge they provide two afternoon snacks which really just makes sense for little ones who need to be picked up just after 5pm. At drop off my daughter runs to her teachers at lightbridge academy. We walked in the other morning and her class (older toddlers) were learning about the solar system and Chinese new year. We toured several places before putting our son at Light Bridge Academy of West Caldwell in August 2017. He was 20 months then and had been home with his grandmothers and nanny up until then. I strongly believed that at that age when children cannot communicate his/her likes/dislikes to teachers, parents are their strongest advocate and I wanted to make sure I have everything I needed for his care. I met Ms Randi at our tour there and I remember raising every concern I had about his transition; she very patiently listened to them and provided detailed answers without making me feel bad about asking tons of questions. She strongly believed that every teacher should be very nurturing and comforting and that's exactly what I was looking for my son, especially during his transition period. Having the cameras at this facility was also a big factor for us to decide to enroll our son at this facility. You can watch your child in every room - class/ multipurpose room/Playground. They have good security system in place for drop off and pick up to ensure safety of your child. They make good use to technology to keep you posted about every little detail of your child's day, be it activities, crafts, nap time, food intake - anything, you can just use their app to see all these details and also post your requests at drop off notes every day. It made day to day things very easier for us. Also every time I had some concern/request regarding my child's care or schedule, they very graciously listened to them and made every effort to resolve/accommodate it. My daughter attends the West Caldwell Rainbow Academy and couldn't be happier. She has learned so much in such a little amount of time! She loves getting up every morning to go to school, she even asks to go on the weekends. The staff is amazing. They are so understanding with any concerns and meeting our child's needs. Her teacher is outstanding and provides and prepares excellent curriculum plans each week for the children. I have seen so much progress in my daughter since she's been at Rainbow Academy. Rainbow Academy also provides me with access to my child's day. Whenever I miss my daughter, I can sign on to the camera's to see how she is as well as receive updates, notes, pictures, videos and a daily report through their Tadpole system throughout the day. I have another child on the way who will also attend and the peace of mind I am provided daily knowing my child is happy, learning and nurtured helps me get through my work day with no worries. This daycare was run well before the director and assistant director left one week apart. Corporate took cover and the changes were visible. It's unfortunate because there are a select few teachers who are great (infants). The new director is stoic and unapproachable. The turnover rate for daycare teachers in general is high but the extreme sudden teacher turn over once corporate came was enough to convince me to take my child from there. My child would have a lot of bruises on his legs, arms, and back and it was always obvious that the teachers were not supervising the children and allowed them to run wild. No evident classroom structure or curriculum. Rumor is that a child was left behind in the playground and another child sustained a severe head wound in the care of staff. Just avoid at all costs. Find a safer and productive place for your child. read more

My daughter has been attending Lightbridge for almost a year now and both her and I absolutely love it. She is excited to go every morning and even cries on the weekends when it's not a school day. The staff is very friendly and very professional. When I walk through the halls to drop her off all the teachers (even ones from other classes) know her name. They go above and beyond to help with any questions or concerns I may have. The center is also very clean and the best part is my daughter is learning so much. I could not of made a better choice when looking for daycare. She has a giant smile on her face when I drop her off in the morning and she has a big smile when I pick her up. I guess every parent is looking which daycare is the best for their child! I visited more than 10 daycares and wasn't sure which one was the best for my son. He is 14 months old and for me he is still a baby so you want to make sure you put him in a place where he is safe and taken care of. I love this daycare, especially in the mobile infant class where my son is, Mss.Kathy, Mss. Star and Miss.Maggie, they are wonderful!!!!! I highly recommend without a doubt, the staff is wonderful, the director Jessica very warming and helpful. If you are a mom over worried where to put your child, this is the best place. For me word of mouth is the best and when a friend recommended it, I didn't hesitate to visit it and love it! I live in Livingston and am driving 3.7 miles each way because its the best, even though there are plenty of daycares in Livingston in within a mile! Good luck! read more

My daughter is in the Preschool class and she loves it. She is excited to go to school and cheers in the car when we pull into the parking lot. She was in a different school prior to the Rainbow Academy and I am thrilled that I made the switch.
