This place immediately makes SOHA a cooler neighborhood. The beers are unique, the vibe laid back and inviting, and the owner is a wealth of knowledge while providing exceptional service. What I like the most is that they offer a variety of digestifs to help with your beer intake. Highly recommend visiting for a few pints.

Expensive beer with a lot of foam.

It's a local spot with craft beer. Nice servers but a little pricey, almost $20 for two glasses of beer. Get there early though because beer runs out. It was ok but not what I was expecting. Can't say we felt welcome either. Definitely not worth going out of the way for.

Such a cool spot on Hampton! Stop in and try a delightful brew. If you drive too fast you'll miss it!

What a lovely cozy beer bar! We stopped in the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and got seats at the bar. We were greeted immediately and given the low-down on how they do things. If you like beer (specifically lagers and lager-adjacent beers), this place is for you. Nice selection.

Was overly excited to get a chance to make it to Little Lager for one of their soft openings. Have been eager for this place to open up since it was first announced! It's an intimate space, with an absolutely awesome vibe! Was great talking with the owner Manny, and hearing his love and passion for beer. As its name suggests, little lager specializes in lagers and pilsners. They do also offer a variety of spirits, and also have Malort soaked gummy bears. How fun! Be sure and ask for a "milk pour" which is a Czech tradition, that's like drinking a smooth and sweet cloud. I'll definitely be a regular at little lager!

Cozy and inviting, a place you don't feel out of place (even for someone as socially anxious as I can be).

We had to wait 15 minutes for a booth but I didn't mind because this place serves LOOKS. The decor was awesome! Everything from the stellar service, crispy and lacey smash burgers and gorgeous dining room(s) made me realize why this spot is always recommended to me. We were very happy with our food and it was under $50 for two people! Check out Golden Hoosier, you won't regret it.

It was more than just a few minutes before a server came over. We ordered cocktails and then got serious about choosing our meals. We eventually decided and placed our orders. We got pretzel bites and cheese to start and it was fine. Then our food came out! I think most of us got burgers. I know someone got the fried chicken sandwich and said it was good. The smash burgers were good. About half of the fries were good and the rest were overcooked. The cocktails were good! Our service could have been a little better. Our server was somewhat efficient. She wasn't overly friendly or attentive. Maybe they were short staffed but I don't know. I just know that service was lacking. There are many things to look at on the walls! If you're into taxidermy, you'll love looking at We'll probably end up back there sometime.

The kind of place where they welcome you and are truly appreciative of your patronage. The Stellar Hog is one of those places. Located in an older neighborhood all by itself, we were greeted by the owner who took us to our table. The first thing you notice is the smell. It's a wonderful BBQing meat smell that makes you can't wait to eat. The place is bigger on the inside than it looks and very clean. There's an outdoor eating area as well. We ordered at the bar, both my friend and I ordering the OG Brisket Sandwiches, mine with Coleslaw and my friend's with fries. No sooner did we sit down did our food come, and WOW, the sandwiches were huge with a pile of perfectly cooked melt in your mouth Brisket. I'm hard pressed to remember any better. The coleslaw was, well, different and hard to explain, but had a tangy mustard kind of taste. The fries on my buddy's plate were fantastic as well. The owner checked on us several times, and obviously valued us as customers. BBQ is huge in St. Louis and the big places and chains get all the attention. But if you want some seriously good BBQ in an authentic down home place, head to The Stellar Hog. Let me know by liking my review.

The depth of flavor was astonishing. I mean the rub is superb, and a few flaky ends tasted like beef jerky in the best way possible. Because of the thickness you get a multitude of textures, intensities. Every bite is roller coaster ride. Some send you straight out the milky way--incredible! The sides were good, but both missed the mark on elite for me. I would love to experiment with some others! Oh, and their house bbq sauce is splendid. Like that is legit stuff. Smoky, tangy, a hint of heat serves a reminder it's at the party, but not the reason you came. As far as bbq in stl goes, this is rightfully pitted as some of the most illustrious!

I want to check the calendar and make it back out for more regular happy hour + movie night dates. I know my husband would love it. The seating in the theater itself is comfortable- a few rows of traditional movie seats, with a few rows of armchairs and other seating in the back. You can tell that the very kind owners have poured their hearts into this place. There has been a lot of thought put into the bar menu, the decor, and the features every month. Happy to see such a crowd turning out for events here, like the Taskmaster finale watch party last night. There is something special about a group of people so into their "thing" and sharing it with the community. Bravo!
