Out is the 4, the Mighty Pine and Pumpkin were my favorites. The Oktoberfest had a little bit of a flat taste. Pumpkin was very good if you are into pumpkin beers (subtle hints of pumpkin and spice). The Mighty pines is a west coast IPA (hoppy finish). Peachy pipe dream was very refreshing if you like fruity beers. Bartender was good (order at the bar and pay there) then seat yourself.

No one really enjoyed their sandwiches. They were dry and not served at a good temperature. The potato pancakes were greasy, not at all crisp, and served cold. We wondered if we simply ordered poor choices or if it was an off night. If we return, we'll try the pretzel, bratwurst and cheese board, but it will be tough to get my husband to go back because he won't easily forgive a bad Reuben sandwich.

Bear, our bartender, is the reason the room works. We ordered mezcal old fashioneds off-menu and he was energized by the request: stiff, balanced pour, though I'd have liked a more pronounced orange note. When someone in our group couldn't pick a drink, he walked them through a few options side by side and landed them on something they actually wanted. No eye-roll. My wife had the Negroni Sin Ti, built on guajillo-infused mezcal, tortilla-infused blanc vermouth, xila, chocolate liqueur, and Campari. The guajillo and the chocolate liqueur together pushed it straight into mole territory, in the best way. The food menu is limited; they're a bar first. But the pork banh mi was a real surprise. Fresh, bright, and better than it needs to be. I wouldn't make a trip for the sandwich, but I'd happily order one again with a second cocktail. One caveat: the music is loud. The place is really eclectic which is fun. Velvet paintings, steer horns with little hands, other interesting decor all add to the bar's character. Bathrooms are usually clean. Bartenders are all friendly. Prices are decent. Huge outdoor patio. They sometimes have live music out there on a stage that comes out of the side of a school bus. If you're hanging out on Cherokee, definitely a place to grab a drink.
