    Loaded pork pizza

If we weren't invited, I honestly would've never known about this place and would've driven right past it. It's super non-assuming from the outside. But a local PR company invited us to come out to try some beer, pizzas, and pretzels.... and thank goodness they did! Is this place a dive bar? 100000% yes. But I love it that way. They have SUPER cheap drink specials 24/7, they are no-frills, they accept you in your farted-in sweatpants, and they love you all the same. The indoor area has some bar games on-site, too. Things like darts and arcade-style stuff. Then they have some out-front patio tables as well. There is not a HUGE menu, but the pizzas are surprisingly delicious!! Cracker-thin crust with LOTS of toppings on them. We got the pulled pork pizza solely because that was all that was available. This is never something I would've otherwise ordered, so at first I was skeptical, but it was SO much better than I thought it would be. I'm glad I tasted beyond my comfort zone because it was super good! There was TONS of pulled pork chunks on top-- some softer, some more charred and crispier, which I really liked. Definitely a solid choice for any meat-lovers out there!! This spot would be great for friends who want to have some strong drinks and a few bites before an event or something.

They aren't kidding when they refer to themselves as a dive bar! I was just assuming Bootleggin' Bob's was in between Arsenal and Fyler but it's a couple more blocks south in no man's land! Not necessarily a bad thing just where it is. I stopped in and there were only a few people in there and one bartender taking care of the whole thing. For the first round we had a PBR ($2.50) and an Absolut and Club Soda ($5.00). The drinks are CHEAP! We then ordered the pretzels and nacho cheese and a Porky's Party Pizza (Pulled pork and bacon with house BBQ sauce). Pizza and BBQ are two of my favorite things! My only complaint was the pizza had been frozen and cooked a little too long so the pulled pork dried out. When we asked for some BBQ on the side the pizza was better. The pretzels were crisp because they are also reheated. The place was clean and there is Golden Tee, a couple of pinball machines, and plenty of TVs. We had another round and moved on. I'd definitely return for more cheap drinks!

Cool place to hang out! They have good pizza and great beer. I got a cucumber seltzer from alpha brewing company and it was very refreshing! A cool little bar to hang out if you and your friends are looking for a place to chill sometime. Hit it up!

A nice smokey flavor. Wings are solid. Don't get the special sauce tho. When I return, I'll most likely rate this place even higher.

A casual vibe, great place for beer and a group happy hour…read more Every time I come here I am amazed at how much fun it is and what a great draft selection they have. Walk in and there are plenty of tables, a couple of gathering areas, standing room narrow tables, an outdoor area, and a room off to the side. I went for the Logboat Dark Matter which I have had before in a can and wanted to try on draft. I enjoyed it very much. You know what is great?! Since they don't have food, you can bring it in yourself. Both times our group has met up here Katie's Pizza is the choice and its in the same parking lot. You can't go wrong with Katie's. Bartender is on the ball and friendly, TV's all around, not too loud so you can talk. Wednesday nights they have Trivia and I stayed for the first round, it was very current for the current event category. Get a pizza from Katie's, go here, have a beer, have fun!

Bartender was friendly and offered to keep a tab. Lots of parking. Loved this place!

So what was it like? The service is a mixed bag. You have to go to the service, it doesn't come to you. The menu is not too complicated. We came for pizza. And all the pizzas have an artist name. We had the Francis Bacon. It's a meat pizza that's pretty good on top but the crust was so burnt it killed the pizza joy. At $18.50 this pizza shouldn't be charcoal around the crust. On the other hand the salads were excellent. The small ranch salad was a delightful mix of romaine with bacon, heirloom tomatoes, Parmesan with some very thinly sliced onions and a delicious ranch dressing. This was the best $5.49 salad I've ever had and it was the redeeming dish for our meal. Overall the food was satisfactory in quantity but take ten points off for the burnt crust. We put in our order at the bar where we had to wait in line. Minus 10 points. The salad arrived quickly but the wait for the pizza was longer than expected. I guess they need extra time to burn the crust. Now as to ambiance. There isn't any. It's a neighborhood joint. The stools are too high and the benches outside are too hard. But in the end we enjoyed it. It's a neighborhood joint.

I enjoyed that quiet space for a bit and the afternoon air after the walk from Cortex made the wait feel intentional rather than inconvenient. Comfortable seating out here and the light breeze with the afternoon light was nice as I cranked out a few Yelp reviews before I spotted other customers going inside. After setting up at the huge table in the corner, I stepped up to the bar where I was warmly greeted. I chose their Fish Fry, which they call a light lager. It was in a huge mug and that worked out just fine for me as it lasted a while. Oh, and some chicken wings. These were tasty buggers. Served quite hot with a rub that was more spice than sauce. Very yummy and the two sauces were perfect accompaniment. Absolutely delicious. Not long after, friends arrived and I shifted from solo laptop time to conversation. It's nice to see how Rockwell handles the flow of customers. Casual, attentive, friendly. Just right for a great brewpub and a great time. They do have a parking lot. It was just an easy experience today and a great spot for a meetup or hanging out on your own. [Round number review 400 of 2026 - 498 in Missouri - 25583 overall]

Rockwell Beer Company earns the association honestly. I walk in wary (I don't drink beer, don't like it, and an industrial brewery hugging a busy four-lane street is not my native habitat), I get the sense I need to eat in the corner so people don't discover the non-beer drinker; however, I walked out humming. The reason is the food, sourced through Street Food by Brasas. This is not brewery food that apologizes for itself. Pretzels, wings, both worth ordering again. The pizzas (barbecue, pepperoni) land in that rare category of elevated bar snack. I'd happily return for a table's worth. It's order at the window food service, which is fine for their vibe, but it keeps the environment to a self-service lower warmth environment. We sat outside, which is nice IF you can find some shade on a hot summer evening. 3.9 out of 5 stars The atmosphere isn't built for me, but the kitchen is good enough that I'd get over it to spend an evening with my beer-drinking friends. What would push this higher: a space that compels me the way the plates do.

Lively atmosphere, bartenders were welcoming and interactive. We ordered the Hot Cheese curds as an appetizer, and I got the Obscura as me beer of choice. The beer was great, especially with the hot cheese curds. Ordered the Friday Fish Sando with no cheese. Came out in a timely manner, large and crispy! It was messy in the best way. Crispy, beer battered cod, lettuce, and house made tarter. It was juicy on the inside with none of the batter mush you can sometimes get with fried fish, loved the house made tarter, all-around great sandwich. The fries were on point, too.
