Little Kitchen - The best so far - Chinese Near Me - Mamaroneck, New York

I used to come here regularly three or four years ago. I stopped in just now just to get a egg roll or two. These "pork" eggrolls had nothing but cabbage in them. Three dollars for a cabbage eggroll. What a complete rip off this place has gone straight downhill in the last three years. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Service great Cute lil restaurant Good food Nice wine pore Is there anything more?! read more

not the same as they used to be, they changed owners and chefs. The food isn't terrible but it's cooked completely different and the service has gone downhill they don't even provide napkins anymore. It used to be "Soup Soda or Egg roll" with the combo but now they just seem to forget ? The vegetables in the udon noodles are different than before, there used to be a variety of vegetables now it's just bok choy and broccoli.. read more

I get take out food from here all the time. The food is great and they will customize dishes such as making things spicy or steamed vs. fried. The eat in area is small. read more

I was in the area and decided to stop for lunch. The person behind the desk wasn't very welcoming and mostly spoke to the customer that was already seated. I ordered the sesame chicken combination platter that came with an egg roll OR drink. I had to pay extra for the drink. As you can see, the egg roll was burned and old. I was there waiting 15 mins in person, they could have at least dropped a fresh one. The sesame chicken is hard and there is very little sauce. I also order the crab Rangoon which was not very good and a small portion for the price. I will not be ordering from here again. read more

I had the most delicious Szechuan dumplings, I will definitely be coming back for more!

We've ordered a number of times now and let me tell you, This is THE PLACE to get your Asian cuisine fix satisfied. There's so many options on the menu, every item we've ordered has been fantastic! Their soups are exquisite and incredibly tasty. I love the added touch of putting egg into the vegetable fried rice, reminds me so much of downtown Manhattan eateries we loved to go to. It's never a dull item from the menu. The only gripe is the crab Rangoon...a bit on the tiny side but incredibly tasty read more

We love little kitchen. Some faves are the steamed shrimp, Mongolian beef and Asian grilled chicken

They insist they didn't change owners, but they must have changed the cook. The food went downhill in the last year since they closed and reopened. They downsized on the shrimp in the shrimp and broccoli and the food has not been the same. read more

I only do pick up and my food is ready under 30 minutes! Sesame chicken is still a go to along with fried rice, scallion pancake, and crab rangoon. Egg rolls can be on and off sometimes its a bit soggy. Lunch specials are worth it and dinner portions are good for 2-3 meals depending on how hungry you are. read more

This place used to be amazing...when I ordered I realized they did not recognize my office number etc. Previously they retained this info so I asked them if they changed hands becuase the person on the phone was new. They said they had not. I got a standard order...curry soup, moo shoo chicken and singapore mai fun. My say something nice is that the food arrived warm. ANd that is the only thing I can say. The singapore mai fun was NOT what little kitchen used to put out. This was loaded with curry and was not the thai style. Curry soup was totally different and not pleasant. There was so much curry it was gritty and unpleasant to eat. Moo shu was flavorless and basically just sauteed cabbage with a couple of pieces of chicken. I was so dismayed I researched and confimed this restaurant changed hands and the new owner does not respond to complaints ( I tried) nor is the new owner committed to the traditional recipes ....they have replaced them with their own and its NOT good thing. Go elsewhere. This is not what it was.. read more

This was the third and LAST time i placed an order for delivery. After 70 minutes I called to see when the order was going to be delivered. They said they had not even started to make it and it would be another 45 minutes unless I picked it up in 20 minutes. I arrived to pick it up and I was one of many who were there awaiting their order. After finding out they still had not had a record of my order, I left! Never again. read more

This used to be my go to Chinese restaurant after my favorite place in New Rochelle closed (Golden Rod) but it's too greasy now and the General's Chicken is fried too hard and so were the dumplings and scallion pancakes. They appeared to have been cooked in old grease. Too bad for the $90 I paid for fresh food. My new place is down the street from them "Mister Chen." read more

This place is fantastic! Especially for vegetarians. The food was so fresh, and it came very speedily. Best broccoli and tofu we have ever had. The green salad came with lots of nice veggies and mango, and the string beans and tofu were also delicious. Highly recommend! read more

Would not order ever again!! After two hours of waiting I gave up. Terrible service!

I can only say eat here at tour own risk! Food made here isn't really fit for human consumption. On top of that, staff were absolutely rude. read more

This hurts to write, but I must. We've been ordering from them for years, and the food has always been super fresh, but Saturday night both my wife and my dinner were pretty bad. The lobster did not slide out of the shell easily, but was baked into it and when I finally extracted it, it was tasteless. My wife ordered Buddha's Delight, and not only was it flavorless, but there were chunks of potato inside! Whoever heard of a Chinese restaurant putting potato into a meal? The question is...do we give them another chance? The only way I can imagine doing so is if there's a blizzard and I don't want to drive. But since it's April, and there won't be a blizzard until at least December...sorry, folks: you're off our list. read more

If I could put 0 stars, I would. I ordered the fried rice and it was white. It was undercooked. I really don't recommend the crap Chinese. If you want good Chinese, go to mr Chen's. read more

Place was good but things changed lately I order sesame chicken all the time but now chicken comes out hard with a fried old oil taste. They are very cheap as far as packing your stuff if you order a lot they stuff it into 1 bag and guess what bag breaks after you leave ask for another bag they make a face. God forbid you ask for extra duck sauce... FYI the charge you 50 cents for a little bag of noddles really that just cheap!!! That's like going to a restaurant and they charge you for bread!!! My orders were anywhere from $40-$65 a week no more, (time to find another place!!! )Also people that work there have no personality they always look annoyed. Place has went down hill in the past couple of months. read more

Ordered here for the first time and it will be my last. The chicken in the general sao chicken was sooo hard, barely any meat inside mostly just crust. The rice was so darn bland and definitely needed more cooking time. Will not try again and will not recommend. read more

For a chinese take out spot you guys are great! I tend to get the combination platters and have never been let down. Super crispy General Tsos chicken, nicely prepared veggie fried rice and crunchy egg rolls. What more can I ask for? They're open late, offer delivery via uber eats and have never been let down. The generous serving of duck sauce with every order is also a nice touch. You guys are definitely my favorite chinese takeout in the mamaroneck/larchmont/new Rochelle area. It's definitely more expensive but well worth it. read more

Consistently fresh and tasty food. It's our go to place for Friday night dinners and love the variety. Would absolutely recommend!

This place has really gone down hill, which is very sad, because at one time they were the absolute best! Ordering over the phone for pickup was impossible. read more

Decent takeout food but they no idea how to time orders. Be aware if you order online the time you request or get on your co firm will have no correlation to when your order is actually ready. Also check your order. Regularly it is either incorrect or missing things this used to be the go to takeout biybyheyte not able to handle it now. read more

Little Kitchen - Pad Thai with chicken. Looks. Good. - Chinese Near Me - Mamaroneck, New York

Easily the best Chinese around. Take out or order in, not a place for sitting and eating. Delivery can be slow but always worth it. Mango chicken and sautéed string beans are favorites. Great dumplings and noodles as well! read more

I love Singapore mei fun and the place in my old hometown is the BEST place to get it. Since I no longer live there and was in the mood for it, I had to take a gamble with a new restaurant - this gamble did not pay off at all. In addition to the Singapore noodles, I also got an egg roll. The egg roll tasted slightly burnt and the noodles weren't good at all. The dish looked like it hasn't been mixed properly because in only one section there was this dark liquid that coated the noodles and it tasted strongly of star anise. I wouldn't recommend ordering either dish if you plan to eat here. read more

The food at this place is terrible. The hot and sour soup tastes like dish washing water. The sesame chicken is really hard and taste old. I don't ever recall having such bad Chinese food. Will never order from them again. read more

This used to be my favorite place to eat Chinese food in the area. The ingredients are fresh and the food tastes good. However, the owner doesn't know how to effectively deal with customers. It seemed every time I ordered (whether online or on the phone) they inevitably left the requested sauces or other things...tonight it was chop sticks, that you begin to wonder if they are doing it on purpose. So tonight, after waiting over an hour and 15 minutes for fried rice, lo mein and dumplings, I jumped in the shower before the delivery man came. Long story short, I called to apologize for my attitude with the delivery driver for not leaving my food at the door as requested, and forcing me to jump out of the shower to get the door. When I called, Juan the owner answered and not even understanding why I was calling, told me that I always have problems and did I have my food or not? Clearly I wouldn't have to call if they would get my order right. And wouldn't you think he would try to keep a long time (8 years at least) customer happy instead of losing my business? Sorry Little Kitchen but your customer service skills SUCK so now we go elsewhere. read more

This restaurant has single handedly shaken my trust in yelp. Maybe it was an off night, but I ordered take out and it was the worst chinese food I've ever had(and I've had it all over the country/world). The chicken was cooked well but it was probably the blandest meal I've ever had. Maybe this is what people consider good chinese now, but every dish we ordered was consistent, generally well done but extremely bland, tasteless piles of food. read more

I have been picking up and getting delivery from Little Kitchen for years now but the service has gone downhill. Several times now I have called for a delivery (12 minutes away) and each time I am told it will be over in 30 minutes. This is a lie. Each time the food gets here in about an hour and a half. Tonight will make the third time. If it's going to take that long that's fine but at least say that! The food is good as far as Westchester Chinese food goes but do yourself a favor and pick it up. read more

The quality of the food here is the best in the area for Chinese takeout or delivery. It's almost always ready when they say it will be and the portions are always generous, especially on the cold sesame noodles, which are one of my favorites. That said, I have not had a great experience at all with their dining-in option, and would not recommend it. Service is very, very slow if you decide to "eat in", and you often have to wait a long time just to get water, silverware or menus, and often have to remind them when you have ordered a beverage. read more

Still eating hear and loving it. My kids fave is the chicken fingers and plain lo mein (like the hibachi noodles). Still eating my Mongolian Beef and we also get the pan fried dumplings. I've recommended this place to many and they all love it. read more

I ordered delivery last night. Having eaten Chinese in many different areas, in different states, I know what I like and I know what is the "norm" for Chinese food. My husband and I recently moved to the Mamaroneck area so I searched for Chinese food in the area. Since this had such good reviews and is open past 4pm (unlike most others around here) I put an order in. A large pork fried rice, a small chicken noodle soup, honey chicken wings and 2 Snapple teas. We got our food a little over 40 minutes later. No problem. We open the fried rice, I have never in my life seen "white" fried rice. The pork was ok but some was grisly, plus it had all the things we don't like and none of the things we do like. It had carrots, peas and egg in it. A good Chinese fried rice will have onion, bean sprouts and green onion in it. The honey chicken wings, well I expected caramelized semi sweet fried wings. None of the above and the wings must have been the smallest I have seen. The chicken soup, very bland, was not cooked in a chicken broth, and was all around unsatisfactory. What Chinese place doesn't have sweet tea or lemonade? This one. Will never order from here again. I am hoping the rest of the Chinese restaurants around here aren't as bad. read more
