a whole pizza in a box

Not good. Overcooked, lacking in taste. Just an overall disappointment. One le, another without one at all. People allowed to pickup without mask. A hard pass.

    Prices are very reasonable.

I was born and raised in Rhode Island. My boyfriend and I flew into town from Las Vegas to visit family. We used to come here religiously twice a week when we lived in West Warwick. We came in to find the place all remodeled and still the same family who owns the place. Wednesday, August 31st at 2:51 PM we were dying for a calzone from here. We ordered fries to start and two fountain sodas. Food was just as I remember, you can taste the quality in the dough. They're ingredients are fresh. The price here is reasonable compared to lots of other places in the area, none quite like this. Level of service here excellent for being family owned. You have to be patient when it's packed though... Try their pizza it's delicious. We ordered a pepperoni calzone with no sauce. It's our favorite item in the menu.

    Suppose to be teriyaki wings?

Do not order wings. Food is fine but wings are disappointing compared to other options in this area

Back in the 1970's we found this little gem on Warwick Avenue. We've always at some point through the years return for the pizza.

We ordered dinner from Little John's. I ordered an Italian hero which was very good but the bread was a little soggy.

I ended up going alone this time, but I came back with enough leftovers and commentary to share that the whole experience could easily be pieced together in anyone's head pretty clearly. The first thing that stands out is the setup. It's casual in the best possible way. Nothing pretentious, nothing overworked. You walk up, order, wait a bit, and then suddenly you've got seafood in a paper tray that somehow tastes like summer even when you're wedged into a busy city block instead of sitting by the water. There's a kind of controlled chaos to it, especially during peak hours, but it moves. I went with the absolute classics without hesitation: a fried fish sandwich and a side of fries, plus a lobster roll that, frankly, looked like it was built for someone who doesn't believe in restraint. The fish sandwich was the standout. Crisp coating, flaky inside, not greasy in that heavy way that ruins a good fry. The bun held together without collapsing into mush, which is always a small victory in a city seafood spot. The fries were solid, nothing revolutionary, but they did their job without trying to steal attention from the main event. The lobster roll was more of a classic Rhode Island style than anything over-complicated. Generous chunks, lightly dressed, and not drowned in filler. It leaned into freshness rather than gimmicks, which is exactly what you want when you're this close to the water. It didn't feel like it was trying to reinvent anything, just execute the basics well enough that you stop thinking about it and just eat. What I like about places like this is that they don't overpromise. Dune Brothers isn't trying to be a white-tablecloth seafood restaurant, and it doesn't need to be. It's quick, it's reliable, and it feels like it belongs in downtown.

At their front patio, they had the World Cup game playing, but the back patio felt cozier so we opted for that. The inside though was a strong second since the lighting is very low, creating a cool and calm environment. Walking through the restaurant to get to our table made me realize that each table is unique, no two are decorated the same or have the same furniture. It was a hot day but the overhead mesh cover blocked out a lot of the sun. Our waitress made us feel very welcome from the start and told us about their drink and food specials. My friend ordered Guatemalan beer as well as a Spanish beer. For food, we ordered the plantain fries, octopus, calamari, and shrimp salad, and grilled lamp chops. The seafood salad came out first. According to the menu, it was going to be paired with cornbread. It looked like sourdough bread but had a far denser consistency. I was expecting the salad to have lots of shrimp to act as a filler but surprisingly, it was about 60% octopus, 25% calamari, 10% shrimp, and 5% onions. The seafood was very flavorful, tasted fresh, and cooked perfectly. The portion size was great for two. Next came the plantain fries, which I was least impressed with as it was essentially fried plantain chunks. I think it would have been better if they were cut into smaller pieces that can be easily dipped and consumed in one bite. The plantain was gently ripe, so just a little sweet and the dipping sauce was like a less sour sour cream. Lastly, the lamp chops came out and the presentation was wonderful. They were a bit skinnier and less tender than that I was expecting, but flavor wise they were good. We enjoyed the food, ambiance, and service here.

We dine here often, and what I appreciate most is the consistency. It is always delicious, always beautifully prepared, and always exceeds expectations. One of my personal favorites is the veal chop -- but fair warning, it's definitely a two-person chop! Generous, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. It was acquired by a new owner about a year or so ago, but nothing has changed significantly, which is good. I love this place. It's my go-to, showcase restaurant for small company. It has a cozy yet classy vibe. There's linen on the table, and the service is spot on. It is not pretentious but elegant enough. I enjoy the vibe. When I am stumped about where to take a guest or guests, I never go wrong with this place--it's so close to me as well. It is one of Warwick's best-kept secrets. First, their dinner-for-two with a bottle of wine lives on, though I no longer enjoy the revamped menu, and the price has gone up. It's just better for me to order off the regular menu now. For starters, they have warm bread, roasted garlic that is so soft and moist to spread on the bread, olive oil, vinaigrette, and parmesan to par if you fancy. Their dishes are filling, and the dessert choices are ample. As a rule, I do not eat dessert after a meal, but here, that rule is kaput. So worth it. They also always give you complimentary limoncello shots. On my most recent visit, we ordered the Mediterranean Calamari for starters, the generous Seafood Pescatore, Pan Seared Black Bass, enjoyed with Meiomi Pinot Noir, and for dessert, something special that I cannot recall. Still, I knew it had caramel and toffee. Just go already. I promise you will not regret it.

A really satisfying and flavorful option. I had been a little hesitant because of some mixed Yelp reviews, but my experience was great. The tacos were $19, which felt fair for the quality and amount of lobster. The lobster roll seemed reasonably priced too, but I'm pretty particular about lobster rolls and didn't want to gamble this time.
