Lobster ravioli

3.5/5 I had a reservation and thank god I did - the entire place was packed. It's also not that big of a space so you can see every table. I arrived a few minutes early, but was seated shortly. The hostess was not that nice; she just gestured to my table. Unfortunately we were seated right by the door so it was kind of cold. Our server, Santiago, took his time greeting me but apologized for huge delay. He was super nice and gave great recommendations. We got: - rose latte: this is super pretty but unfortunately just tastes like sweet milk/nothing. I would pass - milk oolong tea: presentation is cute. Comes in adorable teapot with a sand timer so we knew when to remove the tea leaves. - bourbon French toast: 10/10 - no notes! This was so yummy. It comes with bacon and berries. It doesn't come with syrup and instead comes with the a vanilla sauce that's perfect for dipping - salmon eggs Benedict: nothing crazy but it was solid. We substituted for fries, which were okay. I wish they were crispier - lobster ravioli: comes with 5-6 big pieces. Super tasty and you need to enjoy the pink champagne sauce! We were charged $2 for water, which is stated on the menu but I didn't realize we weren't given tap water... the same hostess who seated me started clearing our tea and water glasses without asking if we were done.. like no ma'am I am not done yet. So that was annoying. Besides her, Santiago was great and attentive!! He even brought me a blue teacup so it would match my dress!

Cuisine: 7 Service: 7 Decor: 10 Value: 5 Overall: 7 I rarely, if ever, give a perfect score for decor. However, it is the most attractive thing about this restaurant that brings in the customers, and I can see why. It is simply gorgeous! The beautiful wisteria on the outside of this brunch spot opens up into an opulent looking interior. You will feel like you're eating inside of a palace or fancy mansion. As for the food, it was decent, but I really wish it was better for the heavy price tags. I haven't tried much, so I'm willing to try come back for more of the menu. Here are my thoughts on the items I did try. Dirty Lavender w/ Espresso (8/10) - Very aromatic, rich tasting and quite delicious. Rose Tea Latte w/ Espresso (7.5/10) - If you like the smell and taste of rose, then this is a great beverage. Truffle Omelet (6/10) - For such a high price, I really wish the egg was cooked fluffier and not as dense. Otherwise, the truffle and Parmesan cheese paired well. Btw, you can get half a stuffed hash brown instead of the fries. Do it! Scones Basket & Clotted Cream (8.5/10) - These hot and toasty scones were the star of our meal. I prefer the thicker clotted cream and strawberry jam at Tea & Sympathy better, but not bad. Overall, a wonderful product that I will return for. Rose Petal Pancakes (6/10) - I am not a pancake fan in general, but I have had airy and fluffy versions before. This was not one of them. Rose syrup does give you the flavor it promised. Stuffed Hash Brown (8/10) - Slightly salty, but the two different cheeses they stuffed into the potato crust made the hash brown quite unique and yummy. Pork Sausage (8/10) - Not the largest portion, but nicely cooked and savory. I put a heavier value on the two entrees for the cuisine score because I don't think the restaurant should be mostly judged on its appetizers and side dishes. However, those items will likely be the reason I return.

Little Hen is the cutest brunch/afternoon tea spot! The decor inside is beautiful. People often go dressed up as if they are going to a tea party and have afternoon tea. My friend and I just had brunch, but everything was still delicious. We had a few of their signature cocktails and some of them come with a small presentation. The food was good. The rose petal pancakes are pretty to look at, but I didn't love them taste wise. My friend got the steak and she thought it was good. I highly recommend checking this place out. The service was great as well. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and welcoming.

I went to the Little Hen for a friend's 30th birthday party & we all had a great time. First & foremost, a special shout out to our waitress Roberta who was easily one of the best waitresses I've had. She was clearly really busy as it was a Saturday & Little Hen is popular but she still made time for us & was very kind without being overbearing. She also helped us with our one too many questions about the menu haha. Here's what we ordered- Chilaquiles- really good & it really did remind me of the ones I've had in Mexico City (which is where our waitress is from & recommended). I also loved both the green & the red sauces equally- typically I tend to favor the red sauce haha. Chicken & waffles- honestly I've had better but these weren't bad. Eggs Benedict- a classic & Little Hen definitely did a great job with it as well, love that hollandaise sauce! Rose pancakes- yes they are very aesthetically pleasing but they are also quite tasty & unique, a must order for the table to share versus have as your own entree is my two cents. We also had a couple of drinks which were good but nothing special tbh. All in all, Little Hen & Roberta did a great job making my friends 30th birthday really special for her :).

Amazingly cute and vibey brunch spot - the decorations are gorgeous and PERFECT for an afternoon tea setting. I didn't get to try the afternoon tea, but the food is your standard brunch choices. I got the cheese and ham omelette. It was a little bit on the drier side and pricey, but still pretty good. I would say the dirty rose chai was unique, and super fragrant. If you're into fun brunch drinks, then this is a good spot to visit. Ty for reading :^)

Looking for a cute brunch spot for you and your girlies? Little Hen is it! Absolutely loved this restaurant. They had the cutest decor and the food was delicious. Their menu hosted an assortment of teas and beverages. Each tea order came in its own teapot. What I really enjoyed about this place is that their food menu was extensive. They had a full brunch menu. My friends and I went to celebrate a birthday and we were not disappointed. The food, drinks, and decor had us living our best girly lives. The service was also immaculate, our waitress was sweet and accommodating. Highly recommend this spot for brunch or even a solo date.

What a cute little restaurant for tea and brunch. I was in awe of the atmosphere with every little detail of a tea and brunch experience, the table decor, the chandeliers, etc. The service was extraordinary I got an immediate check in upon arrival and throughout my dining experience. The food was great and I can't wait to go back when I have more time and not rushed to get to broadway play to enjoy some tea too.

This spot is so cute !! I met a friend here for afternoon tea. There's a lot of floral decorations, including fresh flowers on every table. We made a reservation, so we expected to be seated when we arrived, but we had to wait over half an hour longer to even get an update about a table. Not sure why it took so long to be seated despite having a reservation... what's the point of making a reservation then? The afternoon tea service comes with a pot of tea per person, and a shared tea tower with finger sandwiches, scones, and dessert. The tea was okay. I didn't like any of the desserts - they all just tasted like pure sugar (no flavor, just sugar) and had weird artificial after tastes. The scones were good but the clotted cream they provided wasn't really clotted cream: it was more like whipped cream. The lemon curd and strawberry sauce were both too sweet. The sandwiches were hit or miss. The fillings were good, but some of the bread tasted stale. Even though this spot is super cute, I don't know if I'll be back due to the lack of respect for reservation times and the low quality of most of the food. At least the pot of tea was good! I had the wedding tea and that was great.

Nothing like being a little extra when celebrating your bestie birthday. I simple love this place, they are over the top and extra in true Leo fashion and I'm here for it all. The staff went above and beyond to create an excellent experience for that I'm greatly impressed. The food was standard but the service was premium.

DELIGHTFUL NYC BRUNCH SPOT!!! Looking to have a more "shabby chic" kind of brunch in NYC, yelp search brought us a number of options, but the daintiness of Little Hen sure attracted Wifey for a "just you & me" experience. Reservation on their website was easy to make and apparently fills up fast, as there were no alternative options when we checked a few days later. Easy to get to Greenwich Village via subway and a short walk to eatery. The outer decorations of the eatery surely adds a lot of character to the local dreariness of the surrounding buildings. Looks like the "Smart Chic Dress Code" has been upgraded to "Glamorous Dress Code" for weekend brunch? Took a few minutes to acknowledge us... were they assessing if we passed the "smart chic" code?!?! LOL! I brought fancy shoes to NYC just for this, I better pass! Mostly ladies in the house and all were definitely rocking the "Smart Chic" and "Glamorous" look. Us dudes though, the few that were there, I was overdressed compared to them... DOH! The servers do not even have a hint of the "NYC 'tude" here! Elyse took care of us today... joyful smile, kind, answers questions happily, attentive, helpful... Wifey loved it! Ok, let's eat!!! BOURBON BATTER FRENCH TOAST: OMG! BEST French Toast I've ever had! It's was that good! And we weren't even considering it until, our server Elyse, said it was on her hit list. Visually pleasing when it arrived, but more importantly, the taste was fabulous! That vanilla sauce at the bottom of the serving plate?!?! HOLEY MOLEY! That was straight up BOUGIE! Didn't even need maple syrup with that sauce in effect. French Toast pieces were flavored and cooked to perfection. Bacon pieces were crisp and the pear complimented the dish well. BOMB! AVO SALMON TOAST: Smoked salmon on Avocado Toast?!? What a concept! Never have seen that on The Left Coast so far! Wifey definitely locked in to that. She enjoyed it. Ample serving of salmon. Loved the chunkiness of the avocado. Not for me on a cold morning lol TRUFFLE OMELET: This was something I've never seen before, and completely piqued my interest. Is it truffle flavoring or actual truffle??? Oooo... Actual Truffle shavings! Let's do it! When it landed on our table, the truffle aroma was delightful! The size of the omelet was something you'd expect at this kind of eatery, and not the kind of monstrosity you'd devour at a Black Bear Diner. The egg was perfectly fluffy, and there were enough truffle shavings that you had one with every bite. The Parmesan was actually shavings, not crisps, which I actually prefer. The mushrooms inside were not so overwhelming that it took away from the truffle flavor. Solid omelet! VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! Nom NOM level Is high! Would recommend getting reservations if you plan on sampling the yummies here, as multiple parties were turned away while we were there. Props to our server, Elyse. She was on point! Definitely something we will return to, whenever the chance arises! Enjoy! :)

We really enjoyed our tea here. Everything was delicious, from the scones with fruity preserves, to the truffle fries, and especially the tea. We ordered a glass of bubbles to accompany our tea service and it was a great addition. The restaurant is very cute. However, it has tables very close to one another and the tables are pretty small, but we made it work. The staff was very lovely. I'd definitely recommend and would definitely go back.

Nice ambiance and service But the food only looks good but doesn't take that great Especially the rose/lavender latte, they taste like detergent

Not sure if I could use any other word but CUTE. It is the most adorably sweet spot that really puts you in the mood for tea time. The brunch was great. My friends had the steak and eggs while I had the crab cake eggs benedict. A set of crispy crab cakes and a beautifully runny egg - it was picturesque and yummy. They also offer a tea time service where you order tea along with a snack tower including an assortment of macaroons, scones, and finger sandwiches. Though the flavors of the available sandwiches weren't my favorite, I still enjoyed the macaroons and scones. The tea was a sweet touch. Our waiter, who seemed very busy, attended to us and explained as much as he could. The tea time explanation was a bit blurry but in the end I think we were all happy with the outcome. Honestly, have enough camera space for the amount of photos you will take. It's just so CUTE!

Think vintage wallpaper, little knick-knacks, and warm lighting. It's got character. I ordered the market salad with mixed greens, honeycrisp apples, goat cheese, candied pecans, and sherry vinaigrette. It was a hearty portion - super fresh and flavorful, and honestly more than I could finish (not a complaint!). I also ordered a Diet Pepsi with grenadine; they don't carry Diet Coke, which I almost docked a point for, but the mix was unexpectedly delicious. Highly recommend it. My date ordered the hanger steak and said it was absolutely amazing. Only hiccup: his first glass of wine he got came out hot... like, microwave-level warm. Fortunately, the server brought a new (cold) one and the rest of the meal was smooth sailing. Service was friendly, the vibe was homey and relaxed, and the food was solid across the board. Would definitely come back, especially for that salad and another round of grenadine magic.

After a weekend of rich, indulgent meals, we were looking for something a little more…read morestraightforward and comforting. We also wanted to try a classic pastrami on rye--but without committing to the long lines at Katz's Delicatessen. Sarge's ended up being the perfect alternative, just a quick five-minute walk from our hotel. We arrived around 5:00 pm on a Sunday and were seated right away, which already felt like a win. The meal started with coleslaw and both a half sour and full sour pickle--such a classic deli touch, and a great way to kick things off. I ordered the half sandwich with matzah ball soup, and the portion sizes were no joke. The soup alone could have been a full meal: a huge bowl with an equally massive matzah ball. The broth was warm and soothing, and the matzah ball was incredibly light with a perfect texture. The half pastrami on rye was just as impressive. Even "half" was stacked high with flavorful, tender pastrami. Adding a bit of mustard from the table brought everything together--it was simple, classic, and exactly what I was hoping for. Not only was it one of the more reasonably priced meals of the trip, but it was also genuinely satisfying. If you're looking for a no-fuss, traditional deli experience without the wait, Sarge's is a great option.
