Stopped here for breakfast on the way out of town. Cute little diner with lots of menu options! I got the stuffed French toast with cherries and really enjoyed it. The booths are small and difficult to squeeze multiple people into, but no big deal. My one complaint was that they advertised having basically a full menu of coffee and espresso drinks, as well as fair trade organic coffee, but it just didn't taste very good. :( Lots of personality here though and reasonably priced- would absolutely visit again! read more

Outstanding little eatery in Appleton. Decor is typical diner style -nothing fancy but comfortable. Menu is nicely varied with breakfast being the majority of it. Our server was prompt and courteous, brought our drink orders and paid attention to our order. The meal came out and had a pleasant presentation. I had the Frisco sandwich and it was very tasty. Other members of the party had Eggs Benedict that was reported to excellent and the hash browns were done to perfection. Another had a cherry stuffed French Toast with a side order of eggs over medium. Those were also done to perfection. All in all a good dining experience. The reason for only 4 stars is so many reviews are just padded and not truly reflective of the diner, otherwise it would be a Five Star. I will most def be back. read more

Just left this place...without eating. We were here for breakfast a few weeks ago and the food was decent and service was good so we decided to come back today. We sat down on one side of the long booth and waited for someone to come take our drink order and bring menus. After a few minutes, a mother and son come and sit on the other side and within a minute, a young employee was dropping off drinks to the son and took the mom's drink order. We figure that they knew each other so that was why they got such fast service but at this point, no one had bothered to acknowledge us, let alone bring drinks and menus. The waiter leaves to get the mom's coffee and we figured that he or someone would then take our drink order and bring menus after this. Nope. He then takes their food orders and not one member of the staff had even so much as said hello to us. So we left. And we won't be back. That mom and son got some great service though! I'm only giving two stars because of our last visit. Train your staff not to serve their friends first. read more

I wanted to like this place....I really did. In fact, the breakfast wasn't too bad (I had the Huevos Banditos; kids had french toast). The problem was that it took an excruciating amount of time to get it. I believe it was 75 mins from the time we sat down until we got our food. The term "express" just doesn't seem appropriate. Also, it really wasn't that busy-- just incredibly under staffed. On the plus side, our server was an absolute gem and very pleasant. He eventually hopped back on the grill in order for our food to get cooked. Unfortunately, that was after we had been sitting for nearly an hour. I'm not sure I'll go back, unless there''s a few extra helping hands in the kitchen to keep things moving along. read more

This is probably the worst experience I've had since going to little diner as a regular. I ordered a veggie omelette and it came out cold with two slices of kraft cheese slabbed on top. Toasts are drenched in butter like there is no tomorrow. Coffee mug and utensils are dirty with left over food stains. Will never come back again. read more

For being fresh the food wasn't very fresh and my raisin toast was burnt. Not happy, only good thing I got was the caramel frappe.

The food is good; servers are friendly & accommodating. But it is cold EVERY time I come here!! Not just chilly but freezing like I'm in a cooler. Food cools down so quickly & it is hard to enjoy the food when your teeth are chattering! Please let the staff know that April is Wisconsin does not mean turn on the air conditioning. Our family of 4 ate lunch there today. Quick, friendly service and food came out quickly and was good. We haven't been there since the George Webb days and it's just as good as George Webbs was. Our waitress was shocked we gave her a $50 and told her to keep the change on our bill. She even came back and said are you sure you want me to keep the change? The food tasted good, I was just disappointed with spending $10 for a snack and still being hungry. Was surprised by the small portions for the money. For $5.99 I only got ONE slice of french toast and my brother only got 1/2 egg sandwich (unaware that it would not be a full size sandwich), which I thought was peculiar. Disappointed with the diner being out of biscuits and gravy, then waiting 15 minutes for our food (when we were the only order) topped with an unhelpful, rude man behind the counter was enough reason to give this place only three stars. Service was adequate. Hollandaise sauce didn't taste like much and the chorizo in the Huevos Benedictos tasted more like taco meat than anything else. Good prices. Tiny tables. If I go back I'll stick to a simpler breakfast. read more

Love this place. the server Heather and the cook Remy are the glue that holds this place together. Both of them Excell at customer service they know all of us regulars orders the second we walk in the door. the breakfast is always great. Simply not the same since Suzy left. Young new waitresses play loud music Sunday mornings. Tables and chairs are sticky, not sure what they are cleaning them with. Rarely get a spoon with my coffee. I forget the older woman that waitresses , Anne?, I don't see her on Sundays much anymore. She is great. When she's gone, the young girls don't do well. so unfortunate that this is the path the diner is going. I won't be going back , and I will not recommend going there to anyone. read more

We ordered a pancake and skillet. The food was not hot, they were chincy, and it the environment felt like it was straight out of a twin peaks episode. Definitely overpriced for the food you got. $5 for two basic pancakes and you don't get cheese on your skillet unless you count it as a "topping", which is about $.50 each. When you do get your skillet, there's maybe a tablespoon of cheese on it (which didn't melt, due to the skillet being cold). I can't say I know how this place has such high ratings. read more

I've been a regular for a few years now. The food is reasonably priced and always hot and delicious. Everything is cooked to order and with a large selection of coffee based beverages. The familiar faces of the waitstaff always make for an enjoyable experience and when I'm ready ready for a burger at 2am they are open and ready to throw it on the grill. read more

What an excellent find! We were in town for the weekend & googled "best breakfast places" and this was on the list. It did not disappoint. Even though it's a smaller place we didn't wait long for a table. The service was excellent; friendly, knowledgable and efficient. The food was great, especially the hash browns. Not greasy at all and very crispy. Everything was fresh & delicious. I would also recommend the eggs Benedict. And they had a great coffee selection with cappuccinos! If I lived in this area I would make this place a regular breakfast spot! read more

URP...! Ordered two burgers and I was told there was an order ahead of mine (they ordered a salad and a burger). Apparently, the cook can only prep one order at a time, so she could not put the burgers on the grill until she completed the prep on the order before ours. Which gave me PLENTY of time (17 minutes) to just look around the room. Big mistake. The place is filthy. The stuff under the counter is grimy and so gross, I was sorry that I had placed an order. My order came to $15 and when the food was brought it was the size of a child's portioned happy meal. Waitstaff was rude and one of the fellows must have thought that he could say anything he wanted and he was inappropriately rude and attempted to be intimidating. My wife and I stopped in before seeing a movie on a Saturday night. You seat yourself and the staff is very friendly. Our food was served quickly and was a good portion. The prices are very reasonable and they are open late. I would definitely recommend this diner for anyone looking for a quick tasty meal. read more

I LOVED this place! After a night of bowling with my friends we went here for some grubbing. There was about 12 of us so it was understandable that our food took a while and we didn't mind. There was also about 7-8 other customers already there. I got the meat lover's breakfast which was delicious!!! They make everything fresh so it's even more worth the wait! Our waitress made a mistake on an order but she fixed it right away. I wanted to get desert too but I was just too full! My meal, rounded up was $8 which included toast, hashbrowns, 2 sausage links, 2 bacon strips and 2 eggs! It was wonderful and I cannot wait to go back! Try it out for yourself!! read more

This is our favorite place to get breakfast in Appleton, and is VASTLY superior to the 24-hour chain restaurants. The service is always very attentive, the food is great, and prices are very reasonable. I enjoy being able to choose from the breakfast, lunch and dinner options at any time of day or night. The diner is small but nice, clean and well-run. It is always a good experience and I would recommend it highly. read more

Cute little place. It looked clean but there was a bad smell like a dog was kept there. The menu is large and varied. They have all the classics for breakfast plus some fun twists- there's a whole section of different kinds of eggs Benedict. The coffee tasted very watered down and we sat there with empty cups for at least half the time. Otherwise service was pretty good, no complaints there. Food was just okay. The hash browns were soggy and had an unpleasant flavor, despite ordering them crispy. The muffin on my Benedict was soggy as well and the ham very chewy. The breakfast sandwich my boyfriend ordered was good but had the same chewy ham. Overall I would not recommend this place and probably will not be back. read more

Absolutely nothing special. Prices are terrible considering you don't get a lot of food. I had to go through drive thru somewhere else just to feel full. Waitress barked at me and then started to use bleach everywhere. The smell got so terrible that I had to give my money to a friend to pay because I couldn't stand the smell anymore. Mike! Go back to business school! On January 15, 2014 I went to the Diner as I normally do 3-4 times per week, and ordered my usual 2 eggs over easy and 3 sausage links. I have ordered this for the past 3 years and got an extra link in lieu of the 2 pancakes because of my diet and carbs, and was charged the $3.99. I've always been afforded the price of their breakfast special for $3.99. I was appalled when Ann, the waitress, charged me an appx extra $.60 for my meal. I asked her about it and she told me Mike, the owner, made her pay the extra for my meal the previous time I visited for the extra link. Really!!! I asked her how much 2 pancakes & a link were and she indicated $3.40 and $1.40 respectively. I told her and the cook that the owner just lost a customer, well actually 2 customers because my wife and I often patronized the Diner, and asked her to pass this along. This is absolute nonsense and I refuse to patronize this place again unless the owner contacts me to discuss this matter. I will miss my daily routine but I also refuse to patronize a place that does not treat me like a valued customer. read more

let's start out by it's a cute little cafe type. however, i will never go back, i have been there 4 times, the 1st time was fantastic, although they were having trouble with some drunks, it was handled wonderfully, i tried to call the manager/owner to tell them what happened and to compliment them on how the waitress Shaun handled it. but he never called me back, so i let it go, the 2nd time we went we ordered the same as our 1st visit, it was the same price but half the size. so i left a note for manager/owner, and asked him to call me and left my number, again no response. the 3rd time. was really good, and there weren't any problems, but this last weekend it was the breaker, my friend and i ordered the same as always. except i wanted over easy eggs instead. (i ordered a skillet)they said no i couldn't do that. yeah, it could have been done, instead of mixing the eggs with the hashbrowns. do the hash browns separate and the eggs separate, so i ordered the meat lovers meal. the eggs were cold and even though i asked for my eggs over easy, they were snotty. the bacon not done right, ham. was cold the only thing hot was the coffee. my friend also asked for eggs but she ordered them over medium, hers were snottier than mine, she sent them back, they made more and they were just as bad. I will miss Shaun, she's a wonderful waitress but i won't go back.not just because of the food but because of manager/owner, to whom i have tried to contact more than once and he never bothered to contact us back. well if you don't respect your customers, why should i be there to support you.? we are what makes your business. read more
