When I was working in the area, went in for lunch and stopped back later for homemade pie (baked from scratch in-house) and coffee. The charming dining room is clean and filled with authentic historical artifacts (not that Cracker Barrel "let's make this nostalgic" style...you know what I mean). The waitress knows the history of the area very well and has stories to share. You can get a filling sandwich with sides or a full meal and really enjoy the atmosphere. The 7 mile drive west of Port Royal to this spot takes you along a valley of neat farms nestled against the Tuscarora Mountain. Totally worth the drive for the food and the view.

We got seated fast, and the waitress came over right away. She was super nice. We each started with the vanilla cream cold brew. They were okay, not too much vanilla flavor. My mom ordered the bourbon bacon jam eggs Benedict for $12.99 and a side of biscuits and gravy for $2.79. She enjoyed the eggs. However, they were overcooked and were not runny like they should be but had good flavor. The side of gravy and biscuits we had to ask for more gravy because they barely gave any gravy. The gravy would be a lot better with sausage in it but still had good flavor. I decided on the bacon temptation omlette for $14.99, and it came with three buttermilk pancakes. I couldn't believe I got three full-size pancakes with the omlette great bang for your buck. The omlette did have a lot of bacon and cheese on the inside. However, I wish there was more of the cheese sauce on top. However, the omlette was good! I tried the pancakes as well, and they were also good.

I LOVE this place…read more I came here all the time for their various bowls. This place looks like a typical diner, but it is actually one of the most innovative restaurants in the Lewisburg area. It gets really crowded around lunch on the weekends so there can be a wait of up to an hour. Get here early around 11-11:30 to beat the wait. There is no dinner service and it closes early in the afternoon. Service is very good for a diner and they always check on customers and refill water regularly. There are so many options of food from traditional breakfast dishes, lunch bowls with interesting twists, and a lot of smoothie and juice options. I have tried nearly all their bowls, and I love their Korean and carne asada bowls. Milkshakes are also solid here. I had the cannoli once and it was massive. This can be a treat on its own.

My sister, niece and I had a lovely girls lunch recently. The menu is varied but not overwhelming. This is a breakfast/lunch spot with a nod to a Greek diner... lots of Greek options, normal breakfast fare and sandwiches. We sampled a typical breakfast of pancakes with bacon which was very good. Pancakes were fluffy and bacon crisp. Coffee is a huge disappointment however, it is very, very weak. Two of us sampled the Greek specialties... a gyro and a chicken souvlaki. Both were disappointing -- there was plenty of meat in both but chicken seriously under seasoned and not grilled much. The sandwiches, which typically have sliced onions and tomato salad, were lacking that crunch and acidity. Instead, they were covered in a very thick tzatziki. Again, the tzatziki lacked seasoning . It was way too thick, no discernible cucumbers or dill. Fries were outstanding. We shared a huge baklava which was delicious. Happy to give it another try because of the staff, location , vibe and baklava!
