I will always go out of my way to eat here. Top notch homemade food. Friendly owner and staff. Every small town in America needs a place like the TCD

Cheeseburger Club and Fries!

Once again a great meal! I had breakfast which was pancakes and sausage. My husband had the cheeseburger club and fries. He loved it!

A very simple hometown diner. Friendly and good simple homemade food. Homemade soups and pies. We were full so we didn't get any but what came out looked very tempting.

Breaded haddock with a side if green beans. Hand-cut, homemade French fries on my mom's plate. Absolutely delicious food!

Fantastic food; great wait staff. Looks like a dilapidated hole in the wall, so we had *serious* doubts, but it smelled good and was clean (if very worn) inside. We both had the breaded haddock with green beans and Mom had the homemade French fries and I had the vinegary, slightly-sweet pepper slaw. All DELICIOUS and served quickly. Lemonade was good and the iced tea was Southern quality (and they offered "sweet" or "unsweet"! Awesome! Try the shoofly pie or the Yum Yum cake for dessert. This is a hidden gem, indeed.

Small town America country restaurant! A spot to grab a home cooked PA style meal or a BLT. You also can't miss the ice cream!

Locally operated, building owned by Thompsontown Voluntary Fire Company. Small town character and atmosphere. German style cooking.

Good home made food and super cheap prices. It's just a small mom and pop shop with home cooked food and friendly service.

The place has sports or movies on every T.V. Which makes any waiting much more enjoyable. I have gotten the BLT and the chicken sandwich which were super yummy. My boyfriend had the spaghetti and meatballs and he swears they are the best around. The drinks are definitely the best part, they are creative, delicious, and like nothing else around. It is worth a drive to be here, because the vibe is a very far step up from a sports bar, and is excellent in every aspect. Service, food, drinks...10/10. I will be back again and again!

We asked if there was a chance we could sit outside and before I even finished asking he snapped back "No!" Our waitress was the manager that night and she was so sweet and helpful. The drinks ordered were craft cocktails and they were so good! When the food came out it was hot, fresh, and delicious. Those who ordered steak said it was cooked perfect. I personally got the short rib ravioli which had a deep smoky flavor and the most refreshing sauce. The dining area itself is on the smaller side but there was plenty of room to sit. Outside was gorgeous! While that young man who seated us did also make some rude remarks to his co workers, we did bring it up to our waitress and she assured us he was joking. Overall, the total wasn't bad for small town fine dining. When we finished our meal, we enjoyed listening to Uncle Mark and the Chunky Bunch perform some great covers. We also enjoyed drinks from the outdoor tiki bar! I would recommend!

The service is consistently great and very attentive to allergy concerns! This is our go-to date night and always our first recommendation for hosting and visitors.

One13 describes itself as upscale casual, which I think is an accurate description of the atmosphere. We started with the Clams Casino and She Crab Bisque. The Clams Casino were very good and quite different from what I'm used to. Rather than clams topped with bacon and breadcrumbs, One13 serves them more deconstructed, in a bucket with broth and diced bacon accompanied by toasted bread. My wife had the She Crab Bisque and enjoyed it. For our entrées, we both ordered the Salmon Caprese. They didn't ask how we wanted the salmon prepared, but I would estimate it was cooked to medium. The salmon was very good. One interesting part of the dish was the cauliflower purée, which was served cold. There was nothing wrong with it, but when something looks like mashed potatoes, your mind expects it to be hot, so the first bite caught me by surprise. My wife had a Pinot Noir with dinner while I had a Sauvignon Blanc, and both paired well with the salmon. Overall, we had a very good dinner at One13 Social and thought it was a great choice while staying in Carlisle. We parked in the nearby Comfort Inn parking garage, which also gave me a little more peace of mind about leaving the Corvette overnight. We would definitely return next year when we're back for Corvettes at Carlisle.
