    Czech Goulash

"Little Break, Dobrý den!" You will be hearing this a lot when you eat here. Little Break is located near the Jewish Quarters. My friend stumbled upon this place while walking around and decided to stop here for lunch. Once you walk down the stairs, you notice how cozy the place is. Indoor seating is very limited. As for food, my friend ordered the fish n chips while I decided to try the Czech Goulash. The Czech Goulash was very savory and delicious. It's basically a hearty beef soup with chunks of potatoes. The soup to bread bowl ratio was kind of off. Near the end, I finished all of my soup and was left with a lot of crusty bread. Also, there wasn't that much beef in there at all. I think I counted three small chunks. The price was equivalent to around $8 which is not bad for lunch. The lady that took our order was very friendly and always had a big smile on her face. My friend enjoyed his fish n chips.

Great place, great service, food and location. A must while in downtown Prague. Eclectic menu, nice atmosphere. Had fish and chips for dinner. They have all kinds of burgers, and veggie burgers.

Phenomenal, quaint cafe in the heart of the Jewish quarter that has exceptional service, a warm welcome, great food and cozy vibe. Celiac's rejoice! Little break also has many gluten free options including bread, sweets, and beer! I was here for three days and and stopped by for something each day in Prague. Definitely worth a visit.

Super friendly and awesome glutenfree hamburger!! The cucumber lemonade was a bit strange, but surprisingly refreshing:)

WHAT THEY DO RIGHT Atmosphere: feels like a proper chippy, informal and friendly, with crappy music playing on the radio. Prices: Right on target; exactly what they should be Service: friendly and fast Portions: generous Variety: fish n chips, sure, but also savoury pies, burgers, soup, sweets and more. WHERE THEY FALL DOWN Taste. The fish... It tasted like it was either fried in really old grease, or fried, then set asidw for a while, then fried again. So the main taste is grease - old grease. The final bite actually made me gag. And the vinegar they have on the tables is really weak. Watered down, maybe? Needed a LOT to try to mask the grease flavour. So went for ketchup, which helped some, but 12kc a packet seemed a bit ridiculous. And there is almost bo seasoning on the fish or the chips. Putting salt on the phone tables lets you correct and this a little, but salt actually cooked ON the chips, or put on the fish fresh out of the fryer, tastes different. Better. Too bad, because the fish itself is good. But the batter is kind of thick and... Well, grease is the word. The mushy peas are great, though. Especially with a splash of vinegar and some salt. Basically, I really want to recommend this place, but after three visits, just can't.

Blue Fjord - Seafood platter. We chose the fish from the seafood counter, which were then grilled for us along with our order of veggies.

No signs yelling for your attention. Just a quiet confidence. Like it knew it was worth your time. You walk in and are met with fresh seafood. A variety of fish, shrimp, and other sea bugs. Some with eyes staring directly into your soul. The kind of display that makes you pause and say, "Right then, let's get weird." Anytime I'm with my brother, you know the one. Tastebuds of a 10-year-old but the wallet of a CEO. He's a hard guy to impress. He'll spend 80 quid on a plate and still ask if they have chicken tenders. He says things like "complex flavor profile" then washes it down with a Diet Coke. I only managed a photo of the scallop before it disappeared into my stomach. Cooked to perfection. Sweet glaze on top. Delicate. Balanced. Honestly one of the better things I ate on the entire trip. What stood out most was the chef's style. No two plates looked the same. Each one had its own story. You could tell someone cared back there. After I cleaned my plate, the waitress came over. She had a mouth on her that would make a sailor blush, but somehow it worked. She gave my brother a hard time for not finishing his shrimp. Proper dressing down. Someone had to say it. I admired her for holding us traveling lads to a local standard. Bit pricey, sure. But you're not at some tourist trap. You're eating seafood hand-picked by Neptune himself. As they say, when in Rome. Or in this case, Prague.
