IRating 4.5. had heard of this place from a friend. We were…read morein the neighbourhood so we stopped in for lunch. It is bright, clean and they have a wonderful menu of ALL vegan and gf food. Everything is made in house and nothing is deep fried and no refined sugar used.....so no guilt happy eating. They have an extensive dessert display and I had the peach crumble bar which was yummy! I shared the cauliflower wings with spicy sauce and arancini with cashew "blue" cheeze. Both were tasty and satisfying. I wanted the potato soup with coconut bacon but found it slightly bland and it just tasted like coconut chunks in the soup vs "bacon" flavour(likely seasoning dissolved off in the soup). I had the warrior "taco" which was basically a lettuce wrap. It was very tasty but difficult to eat snd messy. The sun dried tomato flavour was so good. I love lettuce wraps but need to find a clever way of eating it more neatly. Hubby and friend had the chickpea burger with baked sweet potato and regular fries. We all left satisfied and happy

My favourite vegan/vegetarian restaurant so far…read more I appreciate that they use real ingredients and abstain from refined sugars... I ordered the: 1. Falafel bowl: The tzatziki sauce tasted exactly like tzatziki sauce using yogurt etc. The falafels are baked and not deep fried. Con for me was the price - $16 is steep. 2. Pumpkin cheezcake: Absolute must get. I prefer this to regular cheesecake - sweetened with maple syrup. The crust is made from dates and maybe something else. The coconut whip cream is a nice substitute for the regular whip cream. GET THIS. 3. Oat cranberry walnut cookie: Get this - end of story 4. Double chocolate sweet potatoe cookie: This was a bit odd; It was not as satisfying as the oat cranberry walnut cookie. However, I still devoured it. Service: The ladies behind the counter were very helpful, and patient with me. The kitchen seemed a bit slow, given the restaurant was only 20% full. If I'm in Hamilton, I will definitely visit again.

Bardo deserves an updated review now that they have a new name and just celebrated their 16th…read moreanniversary - congrats! I love most items on the menu. Favorites include the arugula chick pea and black bean salad with jalenepeno pesto, any of their baked goods and sweets as well as their pizza. I LOVE that their pasta dishes feature Artie's handmade pasta (the best!) - but honestly was a little chewy recently with the pasta dish I got - could have gone for another minute. The standout for us was the desert - holy cow!! The Really Really Fudgey Brownie was UNREAL!! Sooo good. Service is friendly and helpful; you can tell the employees like their jobs, which helps the food taste even better. Their somewhat recent makeover and rebrand gives the restraunt a slightly more upscale feel which I'm not mad about. I love that you can dine outdoors as well, and bring your dog if you wish.

I sent it back for another one that came out raw as well, we had the second one put back in the oven and took it to go. I should have looked more closely at it before leaving, because when I was home I found the crust was still raw and inedible. It was the first and only time I have ever had to send food back at a restaurant. Our server relayed a message from the kitchen suggesting we request our pizza "well done" in future.

Bridges is a hipster vegetarian place located in McMaster Campus right under Phoenix. Although…read moreMcMaster students come here most often, this place welcomes everyone as they take cash and mac card. The way it runs is sort of like a cafeteria slash food court where you carry your own dishes to your seat and clean up after you're finished. The staff are really friendly and food is prepared fairly quickly. I love their soy chicken nuggets, sweet potato fries and garlic bread. They also have great butter chicken. Although the chicken is not real meat, the texture and taste is still really great! The lasagna and pasta is mediocre, though they do let you customize your own pasta. Highly recommend this place for vegetarian consumers and people who require gluten free meals as they list items that are gluten free as well!!

I came here a lot when I was on the Mac meal plan and really liked their sweet potato fries, buffalo chicken (soy) wrap, and their chili and flatbread. I came back recently and the menu hasn't changed much. The staff are always friendly. It is quite expensive though if you're not on the meal plan. The interior is a nice, though dim spot to hang out sometimes.
