I'm a fan of Mountain Grill. I've been there twice now. I was in Stoney Creek for work. I found this gem on the internet and decided to give it a try. I liked it so much that I went back. Where there is good Indian food, you will find me. I loved the fact that they proudly display that they serve both gluten free and vegan food. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu about what I could have. I must eat a gluten free diet for health reasons. The portion size was quite good, and the food was delicious. I had the Beef Jalfarezi, and the okra. The meat was tender and I enjoyed the okra. This is not always offered at most Indian restaurants, so when I get a chance to try my favourite dishes, I typically order them. Highly recommended. I will go back again.

Butter Naan, Dahl Makhani and Malai Kofta.

The food was killer! Authentic Indian food. Was fast and fresh! The garlic and butter naan were perfect. The Dahl Makhani and Malai Kofta were great as well!

Generous food portions and they taste really good.

Chaat Spot - Maggi

Chaat Spot

We were driving through Canada and Chaat Spot looked cute, so we decided to have lunch. After 10…read moredays of extremely bland Canadian food, I was hoping an ethnic restaurant would be more flavorful and exciting. I'm happy to say that Chaat Spot, well, hit the spot! The menu is very confusing. I eventually decided on a chicken biryani bowl, and the friendly lady taking our order asked what spice level I wanted. I replied "Zero." Man oh man, I am GLAD I didn't say any higher, because my lunch lit me up! I was sweating and coughing and burning from the spice! The flavor was excellent, but it was hot hot hot. I was shocked at how gigantic the portion was, too. This was easily enough for two people to share. We immediately regretted ordering the Indian crispy spring rolls for an appetizer, as they were also HUGE (I'd say enough for 3 to 4 people, no joke). The food was good, just very spicy. It also took a while to prepare, so allow at least 20 minutes to get your entrees. This is a quick service spot, and there's no soda fountain so drinks are expensive an in sealed bottles. I would've loved a gallon of water because my mouth was so on fire! Two things I really did not like about this place: 1. The chicken is dark meat. I was expecting chicken breast, and I ended up not eating the protein. There was also way too much in my dish. 2. The atmosphere isn't great. When we were there, the music was SO LOUD that we couldn't hear the employee call our order number. Seriously, turn it down. It was painful and unpleasant. I'd dock the place another star but the nice lady did turn down the music when she realized none of the customers could hear her, lol.

The place is nice and not too crowded. You need to order…read moreusing the self-service machine and pick up your food at the counter, there's no front desk staff. The food is good, though not extraordinary. The roasted salad bowl comes with a rice base. The bhel puri is tasty. (Two people can eat)

Raja's Indian Grill - Chicken kabobs: $5.99 each

Brand new 1 week old spot right in my family's neighborhood: where they've been for like 35 plus…read moreyears. It's predominantly Italians neighborhood. Never thought I'd see an Indian restaurant but I'm glad they are here. I was only way back for dinner with my family: it's pizza and meat/ cheese night. I had no business stopping here but I wanted to catch up on my caffeine. I only had 2 cups of lattes and it was dinner! So I went ahead and ordered 4 cups of chai.. for myself. Whoops: sorry not sorry. Also, my Italian family hasn't developed a taste for chai yet. I also ordered some chicken seeks kabobs for myself since I don't really eat too much pizza. The place from outside was super inviting. It used to be a hair salon and perhaps an insurance office prior I think. There's no seating inside, rather grab and go. But outdoor has some cute lights and tables. To my surprise: the owner and his family were outside. He greeted me as soon as I got out. Raja of Raja's grill was super friendly, excited and welcoming. He was excited that people show up to support. He offered me water bottles Togo, which I declined since my family's house is literally 30 seconds drive/ 5 minutes walk away. He also offered me some sweets! He was offering to another customer too. Super friendly. Kitchen was small but two chefs inside. Lady at the country was offering food! Super friendly people. Since I was going home for a big family dinner: I calmed the urge to order more stuff. But such a welcoming place! My 4 tea and kabobs came to $25. Great prices too. Entrees are around $13.99+ I believe. Hope they do well! Hope to return for proper meal too. The best first impression!! Thanks for being so welcoming :)

We tried the mango and strawberry lassi. They were refreshing and good to cool your palate with the spicy meal. To start we had the aloo tiki as an appetizer which had great flavor and a side dipping sauce we really liked. I had the chicken biryani and my husband had the goat curry. Both were packed with flavor. We got a side of garlic naan to go with it, highly recommend!! I'm someone who likes "mildly spicy" and I was good with mine. The waiter was very helpful with guiding us. There is a fun floor seating table in the dining room for a unique experience! Overall we will definitely be repeat customers and will encourage others to try Indian Bistro! The food was flavorful, portions were great, prices were on point, wait was minimal, service was friendly and welcoming and we left happy! They put a lot of effort into their restaurant and it shows!!

I loved the bite of the diced red onions and the tang of the tamarind sauce! I can see why it's a popular street food across India! The aloo gobi had very fresh cauliflower and gently cooked potatoes: It was the ultimate comfort food. My spouse and I couldn't stop spooning up more of it! I made a special request and went off-menu: Would lamb in spinach be possible? It was. Delicious!! The owner took very good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable.
