My husband and I came here for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We were greeted upon entering and sat in a booth. The waiter was friendly and offered recommendations. We tried the mango and strawberry lassi. They were refreshing and good to cool your palate with the spicy meal. To start we had the aloo tiki as an appetizer which had great flavor and a side dipping sauce we really liked. I had the chicken biryani and my husband had the goat curry. Both were packed with flavor. We got a side of garlic naan to go with it, highly recommend!! I'm someone who likes "mildly spicy" and I was good with mine. The waiter was very helpful with guiding us. There is a fun floor seating table in the dining room for a unique experience! Overall we will definitely be repeat customers and will encourage others to try Indian Bistro! 04/01/2026: We tried a few new dishes tonight and absolutely loved them! The samosa chaat was crunchy, spicy, sweet, and salty. I loved the bite of the diced red onions and the tang of the tamarind sauce! I can see why it's a popular street food across India! The aloo gobi had very fresh cauliflower and gently cooked potatoes: It was the ultimate comfort food. My spouse and I couldn't stop spooning up more of it! We saw this place on tik tok and drove an hour to come and try it out! It was well worth the trip. I'm not even sure where to start, the service was amazing, Dill(the owner) and her family have a great thing going here. Very attentive and informative about things like spice levels and the menu. It is located directly next to the Arcade and Attica train, it was very cool to watch the train go by. The moment you've all been waiting for... drum roll please! The food... so good. The magi and strawberry lassi tasted like danimals drinkable yogurt! Everything was spiced to perfection. We ordered veggie samosas, chicken 65, and chicken tikka masala with a side of garlic naan. The samosas came with this sweet honey type of sauce and the two together were a delicious blend of sweet and savory. The garlic naan was fresh and chewy, the best samosas and naan I've ever had. The chicken tikka masala was so tender and the sauce was delicious, tomatoey and creamy. For me the star of the show was the chicken 65, the meat was so good, smaller pieces of meat with this almost sticky caramelized bbq-esque type of sauce. So delicious! My husband and I devoured it. Fantastic meal! The appetizer platter was delicious and our waiter was kind enough to explain what we were trying. It was delicious. We had the butter chicken and chicken curry, they were both fantastic and very flavorful. The naan could have been more garlicky but was still good! We went to dinner with no intentions of getting Indian food but the other place was closed. We didn't even know there was an Indian place in the area so we decided to stop in and omg am I glad we did!!!! My favorite Indian place closed years ago in the north towns and haven't found a decent place until now. I had lamb biryani and my husband had the chicken vindaloo. The herbs in biryani were so delicious, the meat was so tender, and it had a slight spice- so good. The vindaloo was so so so creamy and the flavor was just right. We both devoured our plates and could've licked the plates clean. I also washed it down with a mango lassi. The cook/owner came out with samples of her dessert that were so delicious. I've eaten here more times than I can count. It's the best Indian food in the Buffalo/Southtowns area, and it isn't even close. The naan is always good, I love the lamb biryani for spice, the chicken tikka is always good, and the butter chicken is generally good for people who don't like spice. I will say, service can be slow at times, but they do their best to keep up and I've never had a single complaint about the food -- except for the yellow rice, which is totally tasteless and dry. But I'm never there for the rice. read more

The Scarlet Vetter Says.....wow. This gem is tucked away in a small storefront on the main strip in Arcade, New York, near the Arcade Railroad Depot (282 Main Street, Arcade, NY). Do not let the small footprint deter you as the food here competes with the big boys in Buffalo. The service was attentive and helpful, an extremely knowledgeable and gregarious server! She was able to answer all of my and the hubby's food questions and took our order by memory and everything we ordered, we received. We started with Mango lassi, which is a chilled yogurt drink with mango pulp. Yum. After the food arrived, we asked for coriander chutney, and she got it to us straight away. It was absolutely homemade with a lovely hint of mint. The tamarind sauce was also delicious. We ordered vegetable samosas for appetizers, which were perfect. Crisp exteriors and moist fragrant potatoes and peas and spices on the inside. We also ordered Aloo Tikki, which was excellent. For the main courses, we ordered Chicken Curry and Butter Chicken. They both came with delicious rice flavor tinged with Tumeric. For breads, we ordered Garlic Naan and Gobi Paratha. The chicken in both dishes was simply melt in your mouth. The curry had a pleasant heat and was a delicious blend of garlic, tumeric, cumin, onion, and other spices. The chicken in the Butter Chicken was perfectly braised in a rich tomato and butter gravy with the scent and flavor of a host of aromatic herbs like garlic, ginger, cumin, coriander, cardamom, and I think I detected some cinnamon. Just fabulous! The Garlic Naan (garlic infused flatbread) and the Gobi Paratha were homemade, the naan was airy and warm, and the Gobi (whole wheat bread stuffed with cauliflower baked over a hot griddle) was perfect! The total damage was $74.43 before tip, and we had enough left over for a second meal. I loved that the plates we were given were large and substantial, and the food was served in traditional copper exterior indian cuisine dishes with brass handles. The only negative I can provide was the bright colored out of place "fruit theme" on the one wall and a desert theme on the other. I am sure it is because the owners simply took over an existing restaurant space and wanted to get up and running with minimal time. Take the trip to check out this place. It was great to see some new cuisine available in my old hometown. I had to try it out and am really glad I did. I had the chicken curry with a side of garlic naan. The curry was full of flavor with the most tender, melt in your mouth chicken I've had in a long time.
