We even offered to sit at the bar and promised to be in and out in under 30 minutes, but they still would not seat us. We then asked about takeout, but were told it would take 45 minutes since it was considered their peak time. At that point we decided to go elsewhere. Disappointing experience overall, especially since the place looked half empty. This is probably an unpopular opinion but this comes from a vegetarian who is used to eating flavorful food. First of all, I want to start off by saying the service and the atmosphere was great. The waitress was very polite and entertained all my questions with a lot of patience. The reason for the rating is the taste of the food and the prices. I asked for the most flavorful veggie option on the menu and was suggested to get the tostada. I obliged but was disappointed when I took the first bite. It was very meh and did not feel like it was worth the price. My side was a bit more tasty - it is called Rösti and is essentially like a hash brown. Nothing to rave about but it was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside as it should be. My friend got the truffled potatoes as a side and honestly this was the best thing I tasted that day. The portion was also pretty big so if I ever go back, that's what I'm ordering. The place is decent but it's not something I'd want to go back to off my own accord. Booked resos in advance for a Saturday morning at 10:45am. We came a bit earlier than our reservation but was still able to be seated within 5 mins. The place is busier than expected! There is lots of patio seating, which we found out was new because of the pandemic. They did a really good job of spacing out the tables and making it super cute. Food was on the pricier side. However food was really good and portions were big. We got the Keith's Monte turkey french toast ($18) and the lobster benedict ($28). The turkey was tasty and not dry. The loster benedict was delicious!! Highly recommend. We also got the truffled parmasean fingerlings, which was an additional $5. We didn't know it was extra and in hindsight wouldn't have gotten it since the lobster bennie comes with it and it was too much food. Service was great. We were here for brunch, and had the chai French toast and the Bavarian breakfast, and both exceeded our expectations! Service was great, the food was relatively quick given the crowded location, and we left very satisfied. My only critique would be that the location is relatively small and tightly packed. They make good use of the small space, but when every seat is full, it can get very loud and noisy. If you find busy, noisy environments difficult, this might not be the best fit for you. This restaurant truly has never disappointed. I have been going to this spot since before the pandemic and have continued to support this little place throughout. Whether it was dining in, take out the meals have always lived up to the hype. They are always changing their menu based on the season and what's available and they really embrace the locality. Only two waiters serving the whole place. It's hard to grab their attention at times. I wishthe baristas can come out and help when they're busy. And we were seated right beside the front door, which is very cold. Everyone is so kind to hold the door open for others. For the food, we ordered the Rev-a-lee classic, and the Rev-a-lee Reuben. They use very good quality ingredients in their food. All organic and locally sourced according to their website. They also offer vegan options. The classic breakfast had a nice variety of food. The scrambled eggs were slightly over cooked. The corned beef for the Reuben sandwich was very tender and flavorful, and balanced well with the sauerkraut. The bread was alittle too oily for me. We also ordered a pour over coffee. Nice to see that they use pilot coffee, but the holiday blend we choose were too mild for our taste.
