RPM Bakehouse located in Jordan, Ontario is a bakery, cafe, and bottle shop owned by Pearl Morissette (the only 2 Michelin star restaurant in Ontario). Often drawing long lines, this bakery sits on the main street of the small town in a charming and quaint building that resembles an old house. I've previously had baked goods from RPM Bakehouse before when they did a popup in Toronto a few years ago in 2024, but was excited that I was able to finally visit the bakery in person recently. The bakehouse is not accessible where there are a few steps you have to go up to enter. Their small semi-covered patio is accessible from the outside, however, in order to enter the building there are also steps to navigate in the back as well. Inside the cafe, there is seating for about 14-16 customers, however, there is more outside seating that customers can utilize when the weather is nice. Parking is free where the bakehouse is beside a big parking lot. Menu wise, their pastries are all shown on display when you enter. There are also jams, eggs, wines, and other items you can purchase as well. In terms of their drinks, they have espresso based drinks, teas, as well as non-alcoholic options. Food wise, they have a separate breakfast and lunch menu where the food is made to order. When we stopped by RPM Bakehouse on a Monday (which was a holiday as well), I was surprised that the line was pretty short. We showed up at the bakery around 10:15am where we were third in line when we entered the store. Looking around the space, I felt quite overwhelmed with all the delicious choices I had to make. There were also quite a number of people having their food already so it was difficult to find a table for 5 people. Service wise, staff are friendly and efficient. They already know how busy the place can get and they try to clear tables as soon as possible when customers leave. As we were ordering we had originally asked for our items to go as there were no tables available for us to sit at. However, as we were waiting for our food, a few tables became available where our party of 5 had to split up into 2 tables. Staff were kind enough to put our food items on plates since we had found tables to dine at. In terms of what we ordered, we got the breakfast sandwich, croissants for later, and some coffee drinks. I opted for the cortado which was made well. The portion for the breakfast sandwich (sausage, fried farm egg, aged white cheddar cheese, hot sauce, tomato jam, and glasgow bun) was pretty big! It was a heavy as well and I kind of wished that there was some acidity or something pickled to cut through the richness of the sandwich. Other than that the sausage and the jam tasted delicious though. I had the croissant later in the day and wowow the croissant was perfection. It was buttery and flaky, delicious. Would go back in a heartbeat for those croissants! Overall, a charming and quaint bakehouse in Jordan owned by the Pearl Morissette group. A must stop if you are looking for great pastries and coffee! Expect a line during peak times but staff are efficient and quick. read more

We stopped by RPM for some morning pastries and got the apricot Danish, savoury Danish, butter croissant, coffees and a sourdough to bring home. The line moves fairly quickly and there's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed the savoury danish the most which had layers of flavour from the different elements and a good pastry to filling ratio, whereas the apricot Danish felt like there was not enough pastry cream which was also lacking in the lemon thyme flavour. The butter croissant looked like it was shaped a bit off but the flavour and structure was good. Lastly, the sourdough we got was quite dark and pushing the edge of being burnt for my own taste. I was looking at another trip to RPM and this bakery showed up in my search. I wasn't sure if RPM closed but realized that this was it's new bakery. I had to come check it out because we enjoy RPM. I grabbed the family one morning and dropped by to check it out. This has nothing to do with the bakery but the drive out here is beautiful and so is the area that it's situated in. We parked and dropped in. There was a pretty good sized line but they got through it pretty quickly. When we got to the front we grabbed a breakfast sandwich, a croisant, a scone and a sourdough loaf to go. There is indoor seating but the weather was beautiful so we sat outside. They have a good sized seating area outside. We also grabbed a few coffees as well. My family loved the breakfast sandwich. The English muffin was good and the ingredients inside were all really nice. The croissants were nice, light and buttery. The scones...I still don't like scones. I don't think this is on RPM Bakehouse. The coffees were nice as well. All in all, we'd definitely come back to try other things. Oh yeah, the sourdough loaf was really nice! Make some additional time to check out other things in and around this area. It's really nice! read more

Ever since I heard about RPM's philosophy to prioritize sustainable locally sourced foods I've been intrigued to try their restaurant and bakery. This review is for the bakery and we had a wonderful experience. We tried the following items: - buckwheat financier $4.50. Crispy edges, soft caramel inside. - choux $7.50 full of the most incredible cream - blackberry scone $5. Classic - Sable $4.50. Very rich butter cookie - breakfast sandwich $14 with sausage and egg - garden grilled cheese $16. With Dijon aioli, apple, honey. Enjoyed it a lot, but fairly easy to recreate at home - BLT $16. All the elements were fresh and perfect - grilled broccoli $15 - grilled eggplant $14. Served with spicy oil and yoghurt. Tasty, though probably wouldn't get it again - salted honey latte $7.25. Wow. Delicious. - rosemary latte $7.25. Same, unique and delicious - hibiscus tea $3.75. Tasty and refreshing - sourdough $10 Everything is made with detailed attention and care. The ingredients are high quality. The prices reflect that appropriately. Service was very friendly, just slow. We received several recommendations which is why we tried so many items. There is a cute outdoor seating area, and a smaller indoor area. They also have wine for sale. It's too bad we live quite far away as we would otherwise come back quite often! read more

We randomly stopped here for brunch and ended up discovering such a lovely dessert shop under Pearl Morissette. Everything was delicious, but the Choux was my favorite.. the salted cream and cherry sauce were perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The Cortado was rich and flavorful, and paired beautifully with the pastries. They also have a lunch menu after 11:30 with lighter options like sandwiches and mushroom soup, which I would recommend too. The ambience is chic and inviting, and the patio looks like it would be especially nice on a beautiful day. The service was warm and polished, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. Definitely a place I would recommend if you're in the Niagara Falls area. read more

Wow! After much anticipation, I finally was able to visit for the first time! I arrived early on Mothers Day Sunday. Probably picked a bad time as they were SUPER busy. But it was such a beautiful sunny morning. And I was close enough with friends, that it worked out for a visit. The property is beautiful, with a wrap around patio for outdoor dining. Stepping inside, however, it is quite tight quarters (as others have mentioned). This doesn't stop many parents coming inside with large strollers though -- but just be mindful of people around you. This place is so popular! There's not enough seating for their crowds. Most tables are very small, only seating 2. There were a lot of people just getting take out. I was eager to try their baked goods! Highlight was definitely the Caramel Apple Sticky Bun. Fresh batches kept being refilled on the counter. They were enticing to look at and heavenly to eat! They are the fluffiest sticky buns I've ever had! Not too sweet either -- perfect for my palette. I also had the Wild Garlic Biscuit (slightly dry but good flavour) and the Blackberry Sable (terrific jam inside - wish there was more!). Don't sleep on the coffee here! The baristas know what they are doing. I had a flat white (it was quite perfect) and tried a sip of my friend's Salted Honey Latte (it had well balanced notes of everything). We really enjoyed our beverages. I'm weary of crowds, but I did enjoy my visit and look forward to my next visit! read more

Amazing, flavourful, top-notch food made with the highest-quality ingredients. Worth the price, and still the most affordable way to enjoy food from the Pearl Morissette family. Great parking, nice location in Jordan Village. I would give it a 5-star because they've outgrown the venue or have figured out how to handle volume. Line ups are very long on weekends/holidays, and I've had to remind counter staff that I'm waiting on a coffee on a few occasions. read more

RPM Bakehouse is a must visit on my way to Niagara/Buffalo. I always leave with some pastries and their signature sourdough. During my recent visit, their featured fruit was plum so I tried their caramel plum sticky bun and plum/hazelnut cake. Their choux is the best we've ever had amongst the group. You can't forget their breakfast sandwich too! I would skip on the yogurt/granola next time though. read more

Saw this place on instagram and we were in the neighbourhood so decided to check it out. It is on a cute strip that is in a neighbourhood of houses, so unless you knew where you were going, you wouldn't find this place. It also reminds me of a town in a hallmark movie. We came earlier afternoon and it seems a lot of their baked goods were already gone. We did try a few things: - califlower soup - latte - apple pear cider - baked good (can't remember what it was) And we got the following to go: - sour bread baguette - chicken pate - egg nog - can of sparkling tea - can of sparkling peppermint tea The soup was good - although very small for the price. The latte was good, the cider was really good - not too sweet. The baked good was also delicious! The baguette and pate was good as well - the pate had some sort of sweet apple cider/juice gelatin on top. The egg nog was yummy - best egg nog I have ever had and different. read more

BOTTOM LINE: Tasty pastries and more! As part of the Pearl Morissette wine/food group comes this really fantastic bakery and cafe that's worth checking out if you're in the area. The interior is very on trend with white oak walls and seating, with a splash of rustic decor. They even have an outdoors seating area with a fire pit and engraved blankets, which is pretty sweet. At its most basic, you can stop by for a coffee and pick up some freshly baked pastries. The humble CROISSANT - as a litmus test for any bakery's chops - was done very well here, with a good balance of butteriness and light flakiness. They also have some really nice DANISHES that aren't just Insta-worthy, but really tasty as well. I tried their gluten-free FINANCIER, which really hid that GF aspect well, so colour me impressed! They also offer a sit-down menu (though seating can be tight!) comprised of various sandwiches and small plates, but which I can attest used some really fresh ingredients. Case in point, at the risk of sounding hyperbolic, their side greens were some of the freshest and tastiest I've had (I know, I know, they're *just* greens, but still...). Beautiful building, with display full of tasty treats and freshly made bread. There is limited seating indoors, but outdoor seating is ample. They have a fire pit outside which seems to be an option during colder weather plus blankets for use. I ordered a cappuccino which was very strong but tasty. The croissant was as crunchy, buttery and soft on the inside. I was impressed by the breakfast sandwich, which is generously sized. It had egg and sausage inside which complimented the bun really well. Definitely a spot to check out as they are from the owner sof the acclaimed pearl morrisette!
