    Sandwiches in wrapper

Absolutely delicious. My husband and I chanced across this on our way up to Toronto from Niagara as we were looking for lunch. This place was popping, locals were frequently coming and going as they picked up their orders. We didn't order ahead of time and waited 15 minutes for our sandwiches. We got the Roast Beef and BLT. Both were absolutely delicious. The sandwiches were simple but done RIGHT. The bread was soft and delicious, the ratio of all the ingredients were just right. And the portion size was perfect for us. Left us very satisfied without being stuffed. Highly recommend this shop! I wish this shop was back home where we live.

Grimsby Smoke (back) and the Bench Bacon (front)...don't forget the pickle!

Drove up to the Niagara-on-the-Lake region a few weeks ago for a weekend winery tour weekend with my wife. Upon arrival, we wanted a quick bite before heading on our first stop...and boy was this place a huge surprise! From the looks of it, this spot appeared to be a small time bakery and coffee shop that also sells sandwiches. Little did we know that they take their sandwich making very seriously. Lots of organic ingredients and an open-air kitchen where we watched them assemble our eats with great attention to detail. My wife and I split two sandwiches...the Grimsby Smoke (brisket, mustard, homemade sauerkraut on potato olive oil bread) and the Bench Bacon (peameal, maple mustard, cheddar cheese on ciabatta roll). Both were full of flavor and packed a punch (it was the mustard on each sandwich that really made them). It was also a good choice to try two different breads as their baker certainly knows what they are doing. That potato oil oil bread is rock star, let me tell you. Took a little longer to be served (than expected), but then again it was clear they took great care and pride in what they are doing. Bravo, team!

OMG words can not describe the deliciousness that was this sandwich. I got the chicken club on the potato olive oil sourdough and it blew my mind. The soft moist texture of the bread is like something I've never experienced. The chicken was roasted and sliced, not dry at all, just perfect. The double smoked bacon blew the sandwich out of the park. Service was shot also very friendly and fast. I love this place and I will be back, I wish it was just a little closer to home. If you are in the area, GO GET IT NOW!

OMG! Amazing !! So good!! There are no other words to say about this small sandwich shop. Nothing special but it's good! They make their own bread, freshness would be a main key for taste. I visited several times while I was visiting the area and bought some for my friend to try. Actually this place doesn't have place to seat and enjoy their food. It's more like a pick up place. 4 stools with one bar table, that's all they have. Their menus are on chalk board, they are all good. They have several kinds of sandwiches, breakfast menu and other baked goods. They are all Finger licking good!! But my favorites are grimsby smoke with sour dough. It's located in small strip mall with limited parking area, sometimes I had to wait to find a parking space. But it's worth it. Try it. You will thank me later.

My favourite sandwiches ever. I don know how they do it but I'm a person who never re orders the same thing twice but I always order the BLT here. The breads here are some of the best ever. Big fan of the biscuits and the potato bread. Also brûlée lemon tart yum! Wish they did more butter tarts. They source local farmer ingredients and that matters. My go to when I'm touring through wineries!

For drinks, my wife and I each grabbed a bottle of Rickard's. They serve it in a frosted glass which is a nice touch, but... the price was pretty wild. Paying around $9-$11 for a bottle/can felt a bit excessive. We started with the Broccoli Cheese Poppers, which we've ordered at other spots before since they're usually vegetarian-friendly (my wife is pescatarian). I thought they were really tasty, but unfortunately my wife had almost finished one before realizing there was bacon inside...and it wasn't listed on the menu. When we asked to confirm, it was pretty disappointing. She was understandably upset, especially since she's been pescatarian for over 10 years. It would've gone a long way if they at least took it off the bill, but they didn't, and that definitely hurt the overall experience. For mains, I ordered JJ's Meatloaf; really solid dish. The mashed potatoes were a highlight, veggies were cooked nicely, and everything had great flavour. Only downside was the bun that came with it got pretty soggy. My wife ordered the Grilled Fish Panini; she liked it, not amazing, but good. The fish was fresh and flaky, and the bread had a nice garlic bread vibe. Overall, it's a decent spot with good food and a nice setting, but the beer prices and the issue with the unlisted bacon definitely took away from the experience.
