The staff member was clearly inside and fully aware of the group of customers waiting outside in the open. Instead of opening the door or offering an explanation, she chose to completely ignore everyone, showing a shocking lack of basic customer service and respect for our time. What made the situation incredibly unfair and targeted was that there was already another customer sitting comfortably inside the shop. When I finally managed to get her attention, her behavior was incredibly hostile, rude, and unprofessional. She condescendingly pointed to a vague sticky note on the window--which didn't even state a return time--and arrogantly claimed it was "specifically meant for me." To make matters worse, looking through the window, I could clearly see flies buzzing around inside the establishment, which raises serious red flags about their hygiene and sanitation standards. It is disgusting to think they are handling food in that environment. The sheer malice, bias, and lack of professional decency displayed by this employee were appalling. A business that treats paying customers with such blatant hostility and discriminatory behavior does not deserve to be open. I have already escalated this incident to corporate and human rights organizations. Save your time, dignity, and money, and stay far away from this place.

I also recommend this spot to pick up the best artisan style sourdough I've had in this area (if you're not close to Dear Grain Commissary in downtown Hamilton).
