If you need one of your GE appliance to be serviced, do not contact Little Appliance. We have a GE top of the line Dishwasher where the dishes and plastic containers on the top shelf would no longer be dry after a wash cycle. The tech guy who visited with us, in no uncertain terms, informed us that we are using the wrong soap and also asked if we opened the door after the wash cycle was complete. We told him that we did not since we turn the dishwasher on before going to bed. Well we changed that habit once to find out that opening the door after completion of the wash cycle was complete and it made no difference!! He also wanted to know how old the unit was and when he was informed that it was 10 years, he suggested that we get a new washer! We ended up contacting a different service agent and they found that one of the PC Boards went bad. More than likely the Little Appliance Service Tech gave us this idiotic solution recommendation is because he did not want to be troubled with having to move the dishwasher out of its recessed location to check the electrical circuitry and then have to pretty much disassemble the unit from the inside, which took a lot of patience and some doing by the new guy! The new PC Board was installed and now our dishes and plastic containers are once again dry after a completed wash cycle. The new guy also informed us to empty a container of white vinegar once per month to keep the system clean! read more

Not from the technician, he was very nice, knowledgeable, and fixed our dishwasher issue, but the phone experience with the appointment was AWFUL AT BEST. I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life and when I spoke to her manager, which was the owner's wife, she did not think how she spoke to me was RUDE and felt it was totally acceptable. If I didn't need my dishwasher fixed so desperately, I would never have used this company and I certainly would not use them again or refer them to friends or family. For the owner's wife to think it is acceptable to speak to their customers like this is truly sad. One of our recently purchased appliances was under warranty, and the manufacturer offered service through Little Appliance. Scheduling an appointment was easy enough, as they give you a two-hour window for when they should show up. When we called to cancel our appointment because we felt the problem had fixed itself, they were a bit pushy about keeping the appointment. Since the appliance was under warranty, and thus the service call would be free, we went with it anyway. When the service technician showed up, he was a half-hour earlier than his scheduled window, which for some may not be a big deal, but as it was early in the morning, it kind of cheesed me off. He was fairly condescending throughout the service, treating me like I had never used a gas range before, even though I clearly stated that I had. After checking out the range, he proceeded to lecture me about how another appliance in my kitchen was of poor quality. Overall, the service was free and he did his job, which was fine, but I wouldn't call them up again if I need some repair work done. read more

We have been dealing with Little Appliance since 1969 and things never change: always polite personal attention that results in a solution to even complicated problems. Unannounced, we walked in today looking for a 30" Slide In range for our very nice, but small, rental house. What turned out to be the problem is that the range sits in an island with a downdraft vent. The GE that is currently there came from Little 28-years ago. After a lengthy search it is being replaced by a Kitchen Aid which just happens to be the only range on the market that still offer a vent like this. And, unlike the big box stores who contract everything out, Little services and installs everything they sell, and their sales price was nicely below that of competitions online pricing. read more

Avoid Little like the plague. Kitchen Aid (KA) oven and microwave broke down. Called KA 1-800 number and scheduled service call with Little today (03 Jan 2019) to fix problem. Called Little this morning to confirm. Call answered by a rude woman who said they had no info on the scheduled call and advised me to take it up with KA. My wife even received a confirmation email from KA with Little CCed. How's that for great customer service. Called Kitchen Aid. They confirmed the appointment and advised in their system Little had "accepted" the appointment for today (thus the confirmation email). The KA rep and then her supervisor called Little and Little told KA to pound sand. If I could give them no stars I would. Been without our oven/microwave for a week and then have to deal with this. Hopefully KA will rid themselves of this business as one of their service representatives. read more

We were very pleased with the new slide in electric range that was delivered just in time for Thanksgiving preparations ! We had to have our cabinets cut to prepare for the bigger range and Mark and David from Little Appliance made arrangements with cabinet maker David to make the installation very smooth. The men who delivered and installed the range were very efficient and professional. We were very happy with all of the extra effort that was made to see that we were able to have the oven up and running in time for the holiday. We definitely recommend Little Appliance and we will look to them for our future appliance needs. read more

The receptionist, I believe Cindy is her name, is one of the rudest people I have ever had a customer service related interaction with. I am still in shock at the way she spoke to me. I called to make a service appointment on a Monday. I was told that they did not work on the appliance model I requested to have serviced. I kindly told her that I had an invoice from Little Appliance Service that showed service to the same appliance in question, but if something had changed since then to please let me know. "Nothing had changed" and we moved forward with the request. I was told I would receive a call the next day, Tuesday, to confirm my appointment window for Wednesday. This first call was by no means friendly or respectful, but I tolerated it because the appointment was made. I never received a call. I followed up on Wednesday morning; no answer. I called again a few hours later and Cindy took my call again. After several minutes of reminder her about our Monday call, Cindy admitted to losing the original ticket, stating that they were "understaffed". During this entire call, Cindy acted as if it was an inconvenience to take down all of my information for the second time even though it was no fault of my own. After a few more rude comments from Cindy and a 10 minute hold, I hung up the phone. Clearly they do not need your business. Save yourself the time & trouble. read more

They came out to my daughter house for a Maytag washer she had a problem with the spinning and shakes back and forth out of balance. She had to work so I came to let them in. He just came out and told me the house could not handle the washer. House built in 1995 and the house has no problems the washer has a problem in balance spin cycle. I made him leave!!! I have never been told this in my 63 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch out for this stupid excuse and the washer is under warranty. They get a 0 from me. read more

I was trying to get times to work out with my husband and tenant. Cindy wanted call them both and disturb at work in intolerable environments. I told her that I was communicating in a way that was least interruptive. I tried to be flexible and hear options but she was having none of it. Instead she wanted an answer immediately. She didn't care about the needs for me or my tenant. She wanted to argue and interrupt. She even tried to hang up. By the time I was done I wanted to throw her through a window. Had a service call from them today to repair my kitchen aid dishwasher because the door would not stay shut when running. When I called for repair I requested they bring a replacement door closure. Repairman told them to not order the part. He came out ($85.00 service charge), tried to adjust the door, no success! Left saying he did not know if a new closure would fix it, but, when he called back he said that for another $150.00 he would "see if it worked". I am not really sure he was a true repairman! Would I call them again - two chances, slim and no way. Slim has left, which leaves the other one. read more

Our dishwasher heating unit died just before Thanksgiving. (are appliances made with "holiday sensors" that program them to fail just when the appliance is needed most?) The repairman from Little came out the next day and diagnosed the problem, but unfortunately Whirlpool did not make the part anymore. So we bought a new dishwasher from Little and although we could not get it installed before Thanksgiving, it was installed soon thereafter. Service department was efficient and scheduled install date at a convenient time. Repairman and the other two young men who installed the new dishwasher were prompt, polite and cleaned up after themselves. Sales staff on the floor were outstanding. No complaints and I am planning to consult with Little Appliance soon on a new kitchen range. read more

Little Appliance help me last year 2 weeks before Christmas when my oven went out. I bought a new gas stove from them and they managed to get it in before Christmas. I was very grateful. For some reason, though, the back holding burner had a large flame on it that actually left carbon on the bottom of my cookware. I hardly use that burner, so I've never remembered to have it fixed until 2 weeks ago. This summer when I called to see if they could help me with a broken ice-maker, the girl that answered the phone was so rude I gave up and called someone else. The repair man from this other company told me that my burner was fine but that the orifice had been put in the wrong burner- the mid size one next to it has too small a flame, and they need to be switched. So I called Little since it is still under warranty. Again, rude girl at first tried to tell me they never sold me that stove. I told her the owner sold it to me himself and she needed to find it. She called back and gave me an appointment time late in the day, telling me the repair man would call me 1/2 hour before he came so I could get there from work. Then I got a call from the owner questioning me about why I said I had propane and not natural gas because that was available in my neighborhood (???). I've lived there 30 yrs; I know what I pay for to fill that tank in my back yard. Today, I got a call from Little and just as I answered the phone (twice) they hung up. I called back and when she answered she said there was something wrong with my voice mail, and then tried to tell me she was giving me the time slot for my appointment - much earlier in the day. I said I already had an appointment, she wanted to know who I spoke to, then admitted she was the one, but now they don't make appointments that late. Don't go there. Almost two months later my dishwasher still hasn't been fixed! I contacted Little because they were certified to service my warranty. Despite being very patient and pleasant with them they have been consistently rude and dismissive. After you make your appointment you have to field a call the afternoon before to confirm. If you happen to work where you can't take calls at will, or can't get back to them in the brief period of time alotted, you can expect to wait another week or more to get service that may or may not fix your problem. So far, after two visits and much hassel I'm not convinced they even know what the problem is, much less how to fix it. Were I not stuck with them now due to warranty issues I would go elsewhere and will never use this company again. read more

The scheduler left a message wanting to change dates. I did not call back because I was out of town. She sent the installer out there anyways. She was completely rude. Wife and I have been dealing with Little Appliance for years. 2 in wall a/c unit and washer. Very great experience with them. Would recommend them to anyone. The tech that came out when AC failed. Put it to us straight that it would cost more to fix then to replace. We bought new one and the two installers did a fantastic job with everything with the job. With using Little Appliance through work and having services through a warranty we have not had any issues. I decided to personally contact them for my dishwasher not draining. After scheduling the first appointment, I was contacted stating they over booked and pushed my repair to the next day. That was fine. They showed up 30 minutes earlier than scheduled which worked out ok because someone was home. After there diagnosis, it was determined that the motor was bad. The cost of a new motor was an expense that would cost almost as much as a new dishwasher. The technician stated I could purchase a new dishwasher through them. I told him to have their office call me but I would shop on my own as well. The dishwasher was less than 5 years old but hey things break. I purchased a new dishwasher through an appliance company. I paid to have it delivered and installed. After the install of the new dishwasher, it was not draining either. The person completing the install shook the drain line coming from the bottom of the dishwasher to the sink drain. Junk pushed through the line and began to drain fine. I contacted Little Appliance and informed them of the possible misdiagnosis. They even had there technician call me back to discuss what I found. He stood behind the motor being bad. Therefore, a few days later I decided to have the old dishwasher hooked up to see if it was operational. I paid another person to come test the old dishwasher. As to my not so surprise, it worked fine. I contacted Little Appliance the next day to inform them again of the final findings. The woman I spoke with was one of the most unprofessional women I have ever dealt with. She stated they would refund the service cost. I explained that I now had the unnecessary cost of a new dishwasher and install fees, repair fees etc...that were the result of the technician not checking basic principles before stating I needed a new appliance and offering I purchase one from them. I stated the company in which I purchased the dishwasher from would not accept the return. She told me the technician was correct and if it was a clog, it was a plumbing issue and I should have contacted a plumber instead. Well, forgive me but the line that was clogged was coming directly from the dishwasher which was found much later and I am not an appliance professional who would have discovered that. Why would a clogged line say a motor was bad? She had nothing to say except have extreme attitude. I just said wow and said to refund my money and all of my business will be handled elsewhere. My husband was irate. He called up and spoke with 3 other people until it was offered to us that they would buy the new dishwasher from us at the purchase price. Fair right? NOT They then proceeded to tell us that we would need to uninstall the new dishwasher and reinstall the old and then bring it to them. That is NOT an appropriate fix to the problem. Why would I turn around and pay yet another person to uninstall the new and reinstall the old. Then go out of my way to find a truck to get the new dishwasher to them. I was already out money so I'm best as well selling the old dishwasher to recoup some of my unnecessary costs. The correct solution would have been: Ma'am we apologize for the huge inconvenience. Unfortunately, technicians make mistakes. We will make this right by purchasing the new dishwasher from you. We will have a technician come out and uninstall the new, reconnect the old and bring the new dishwasher we purchase from you to our shop. OR unfortunately we cannot pay for the new dishwasher but would be more than happy to refund your costs of our repair, having the new dishwasher installed and the test service of the old. Customer Service. Period. Business is business but having people treat others like garbage is irresponsible and poor business practices. Being a little nicer and try to offer a correction before your customer gets to the point of contacting the BBB would have been a 100% game changer here. read more

Terrible service, Delivered our new speed queen washer and technicians if thats what you want to call them, dropped the appliance on the front door threshold punching a hole through it and next knocked the stairway hand rail bracket loose from the wall. Whe I first tried to run the machine the water had not been turned on either. Owner tried to get us to let his friend fix for a low ball figure, no thank you finally got correct amount of money from their insurance company after quite some time. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else. SpeedQueen is also apparently not concerned about the quality of their representatives either so would not buy another even though machine is well made. NOTE on the speedqueen website they will not allow you to enter anything concerning customer service at their designated dealers to enter a review. The package is not only the machine but who installs and services it in my book. My calls to the SpeedQueen Sales person for the area were not returned after at first stating he would take care of my problems. Better off going to Lowes where customer service is job one! read more
