Why can't I give them a zero star rating? I had heard in the past how bad it is to do business with Lighthouse Pools and spas and yet I still went through with it. We purchased our 30 foot pool from there in April 2023 we were told it would be installed within a month fast-forward till June. 13th and it still wasn't installed when I say "they forget about you after you write the check" I mean it. In the time between purchasing the pool and having it installed, I couldn't get anyone on the phone to help me. When the installer finally did get through to me, he gave me the excuse "That the rain put him back 11 days" We got rain on a Saturday before install day prior to that, We didn't have rain for 25 days. How can one day of rain put you back 11 days and still no help from the store or the sales guy. They did eventually set me up with a different installer who was fantastic. He was there when he said would be he got the job done. He was courteous and kind. His guys were great, but this poor soul is based two counties away and had to pick up the slack for a horrific jerk. I haven't done business with them since and I certainly won't in the future. I don't need to. I can get chemicals on Amazon much cheaper whatever you do don't subscribe to the scam that is frog leap if you purchase it then utilize one cartridge and cut a hole in it and add your own chlorine to it. The reason I am posting this review two years after my install is because this company has done the exact same thing to my brother-in-law who I hope takes the time to leave A proper review. Wow....I don't typically post 1 star reviews, but this place deserves it. We initially bought our pool from lite house about 6 years ago. The salespeople at that time were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. In the last few years we have seen a significant decline in the staff that work there. This year we have been in a few times including once to get a new pool pump and the staff have been flat out rude and unhelpful. Out of the 5 times we have been in this year, there has only been once in which someone who was knowledgeable was working. We have been thinking about getting a larger pool in the next year or two, but I will tell you there is no way we would ever purchase from lite house again. In fact I look forward to when we can be done with them and go somewhere else. Save your time, do not shop here....there are plenty of other places you can go to get a pool. read more

Got our pool open during summer older gentleman and young man with him did a good job. When it was time to close OMG!!!! They had the worse people possible, I will try my hardest not to use them again ever. They didn't put the equipment up didn't clean it correctly, I believ they just close it and left. Do use this place for your pool service. They price they charged us was a complete rip off!!! I am looking now for new service. read more

The most awful and rude customer service I've ever experienced. We have had issues with pumps and overheating since we bought our hot tub 1 1/2 years ago. We've heard nothing but excuses saying sometimes pumps are noisy and if it bothers you put a rubber isolator under it, which we did. They came and looked at it but did nothing. It still periodically overheats but now they want charge $150 just to come out and look at it. I would suggest going elsewhere. read more

Very rude ordered a solar cover , website says in stock. Called store oh its in the warehouse will be in Thursday. Called Thursday told to busy to check on it. Bought a pool there was lied to about how long it would take to get it installed. Bought it first week of June was told it would be three weeks before it gets installed. They knew the rain had them behind on there installs. We have been lied to so many times I don't even want this pool anymore. All my boxes are sitting in the weather and getting ruined. This a joke! I would tell everyone not to buy anything there unless you want to be lied to. By time it's installed it well be time to winterize it. I would never buy there again! read more

My wife and I purchased a hot tub here 2.5 years ago. Today the hot tub we spent several thousand dollars on is leaking. We have a 3 year no leak warranty on this hot tub. Amy in their service dept is telling us it will cost us $150 to have someone come out to look at it. Funny that nothing in our warranty brochure and paperwork lists any fee to have someone come out. My wife then spoke to James the store manager...he directed my wife to speak to Amy again so he was of no help whatsoever. Amy told my wife if you want it fixed then you have to pay. She sent my wife a screenshot that said "Industry Leading Warranty with added handwriting stating "trip charge" in scribbled in bad hand writing. Yep, that sounds real legal Amy! Guess we'll see how that holds up in court because my guess is it will not. My wife also mentioned going to the Better Business Bureau...they didn't care. I wonder if the upper management of their corporate knows or cares of the unscrupulous practices their stores practice. To have decently bad leak in a 2.5 year old hot tub is ridiculous for what you pay for them. This hot tub has been well maintained and has ran all through the winter set at 103 degrees so no, the piping did not freeze. My suggestion is to go to a REPUTABLE dealer if you're looking for a hot tub and steer far away from his place. It's obvious by looking at their prior reviews that they simply don't know customer service, nor how to spell it for that matter. read more

I was not happy to learn the other day that their AGGRESSIVE BUSINESS PLAN does not want people to test their water if they can't verify you buying their spa/pool chemicals. This in spite that I bought my Spa from them with the understanding of having lifetime water tests and that we stock up on their chemicals during their spring sale. I am going to be in the market to buy a new spa soon, think I will shop elsewhere. read more
