First off let me say I bought the resin pool from pool city 6 yes has went by and this year we had 7-8 spots of rust on a pool that doesn't rust. They offered to give me new walls if I paid 365 for delivery also need a new liner and skimmer that they want me to pay for. For a lifetime pool this is completely wrong. Called up pool city in Robinson manager Doug had said he will not take any farther to help me. This is how you treat customers after they spend 5k at your store. In April I ordered and patio dining table and chairs from Pool City in McCandless. When the table and chairs arrived in May, one of the delivery people informed me the table had a gouge on its top and would be replaced. After two months, I had not heard from Pool City. So I called Pool City and talked to one of its customer service representatives. She said Pool City had no documentation of any damage to the table and and the table would not be replaced. I will never spend another dime at Pool City, which is a company that can't be trusted, in my opinion. read more

This is my second time buying an above ground pool from Pool City Robinson. I had a pool 2012-2016 and took it down because we moved. Had no issues with that pool. Lived in a community that didn't allow pools for 2 summers and regretted moving. Moved back to a house where I could have a pool in spring 2018. Pre ordered in January 2018. Pool delivery was April 2, excavator dug on May 5, and my install was May 23. I expected it sooner, but the weather did not cooperate. For 2 weeks I had to cover my excavated pool area with a tarp, inconvenient, but I wanted my pool! It definitely was a little stressful waiting, but it was worth the wait. The customer service throughout this entire process was exceptional (thank you Adam for dealing with me!!) Pool City is easy to work with and the installer (Shawn) did a good job, perfect liner! I am so thrilled with my new pool! read more

We purchased a home with a pool that had a badly damaged liner. We did not realize the liner was damaged until we removed the pool cover. My wife went into Pool City in search of a new liner. Adam walked her through how to measure the pool (I was traveling for work) and determined it was a 12x24 oval pool. Adam located a replacement liner and went and picked it up the same day so that we could get it in prior to the Fourth of July. We braved the install ourselves and it turned out great! Overall, the help Pool City provided to get the liner in quickly will allow us to enjoy the pool all summer. read more

We stopped by today to look at hot tubs at Pool City in West Mifflin, PA. Our salesperson, Sandy, was very nice, helpful and informative. As well as another gentleman who was working there, we did not get his name. After deliberating for twenty minutes and looking at different choices, we almost settled on a tub that was a floor model display and, according to Sandy, was for sale. My husband and I were getting excited, exchanged looks of agreement to "go for it". After Sandy went back to "double check on it", it turned out that hot tub was sold! Not the end of the world, but a definite disappointment and a lack of preparation on their part: don't advertise an item, and get a customer excited only to find out it is not for sale. DO NOT fall for their gimmick of bringing in a sample of your pool water and we will test it so you know EXACTLY what chemicals you need so you don't have to buy unnecessary chemicals......Leslie's pool chemicals is what they are pushing. I opened my pool, and when I went to go buy a starter kit, the girl convinced me that I might be buying some thing I don't need, so bringing a sample of your pool water so she can tell me exactly what my pool needs to start it. I uncovered my pool, and it was absolutely crystal clear water. I took a sample to pool city, and they use the Leslie's, pool water, diagnosis machine, and sold me a whole bunch of chemicals. I followed the instructions, exactly, as it has taken two days to put all these chemicals in there, according to the instructions because you have to put this chemical in and wait for four hours, then this chemical in and wait for four more hours as the pump is running 24/7. It is just ridiculous. Well my crystal clear water is now Super cloudy! I have never had cloudy water. Thank you POOL CITY for screwing up my pool water with your Leslie's water diagnosis, and costing me over $300, instead of $60 for the Nature 2 starter kit ..... and by the way, they never sold me any shock for all that money which I'm sure my pool needed the most!' read more

Buy your pool anywhere but here people! Purchased April 16th, 2018. June is here and pool is not installed. Be prepared for excuses and empty promises as days slip into weeks, and quite unbelievably, months! They had no problem taking my money but the customer service turned to crap soon as the purchase was complete. Have a hole in my backyard from a partial dig 3 weeks ago. My yard is destroyed, no installation date in sight. At this point going to see if a competitor can get me installed this month and returned all this junk to pool city. Silver lining, I know where I'll be purchasing my hot tub, not pool city. read more

Purchased a hot tub from pool city 6 years ago, It began to have a slow leak this summer and we contacted pool city to get to try and get a resolution. They set up a service tech. named Ken who came and charged us $155 to diagnose the problem. He took off 1 panel milled around for an hour and left without any communication. After a week we contacted pool city again and they said he lost his notes on what needed to be done. Still no communication with us as the owners to the findings or a solution. Ken was un-professional and non responsive. He said he ordered jet bodies with no input from us. I did my on diagnosis of the problem and found a leak not at any of the jets but at main interior light, Clear as a drip to me. I also removed the other panels and checked the jets for leaks and found another wet spot. Ken never removed any panel except for the main service panel. Pool city was not forth coming that Ken is not their employee and he in fact is an independent sub-contractor. We paid Ken for nothing and Pool City will not provide a refund. My last communication with Ken ended in him swearing at me. Real Professional - AVOID POOL CITY AT ALL COSTS. They sell crap and don't service the crap they sell. read more

My husband and I finally decided to splurge on a hot tub, and following a friend's enthusiastic recommendation, went to Pool City in Robinson. Jacuzzi and Sundance spas are also highly rated by Consumer Reports, which also influenced our choice of Pool City. Other than that, we knew nothing about hot tubs. We met with Chuck, who provided extraordinary service and expertise. After listening to our needs and motivation for the purchase, he provided orientation to options across a wide range of sizes, features and price points. He did a wonderful job of explaining technology differences that allowed us to distinguish their value to us, and compare options. He even offered to let us get into our suits and test one out (I declined, after all it is a public place). He was friendly , no-pressure and incredibly well-versed in the products and various installation specs and options. We purchased a beautiful Sundance spa at a sale price, and are super happy. Our pool was installed a few days before or after Memorial Day (even though we bought it in January so it would be ready to use by the holiday - and even if it was before, the water didn't have time to get warm), and I'm writing this mid-July because I gave Pool City this long to make it right. First . . . they should tell you the whole pool will fit in the back of a pickup or SUV, you really don't need to pay the $150 for delivery. I was shocked when such small boxes arrived on my deck. Second . . . Their Communication is horrible. I couldn't get them to return calls. We wanted this installed so we could use it for the holiday, but throughout the entire month of May I couldn't get anyone to call me back. The did try to install it at the end of April; however, they called the day before they wanted to come and we were out of town. One day's notice isn't enough!!! We had two days notice at the end of May - So my husband had about 24 hours to get the old pool out of the way. We left it there so the sand would stay nice so the installer would have less work to do and have to use less sand. Third . . . the installer is the absolute worst!!!! My husband and son-in-law did a better job of smoothing the sand with our first pool. The first one was like a sheet of glass under that liner. This one, when I sweep it, I get held up and my sweeper is bumping all over the place. You can see the indents because that's where the dirt collects. PLUS, they charged us for a whole load of sand, even though they used less than a ton, and they charged us for our own block until I asked what they did with them. Then they gave me a $10 refund (for 16 blocks . . . I'm betting they charge more than $10 for 16 blocks) and they took one . . . we had 17 in our old pool and there were no blocks left even though they took them all up and put them back down. They were difficult to get in touch with, made all kinds of excuses, left cigarette butts on my deck and overcharged us by about $200. No matter what Pool City tells you, be prepared to pay almost $800 in installation charges even if they are setting your pool in the same exact sized hole that had a pool with water in it the day before. Do yourself a favor and find another pool place. I won't give them any of my business anymore even for supplies because they didn't seem to care that I had these problems. Like I said, it's been more than a month and they haven't even tried to resolve it! read more

After seeing first hand what my best friends pool looks like 2 years after he bought it from Pool City, I wouldn't spend a penny in their store. He spent well over $5000 for a pool and a "filter ' and this is the 2nd straight year it sits green and in a cocoon status. This wouldn't be so bad if the customer service went beyond the, "point of sale". He has done everything they have asked him to do to correct the problem. Up to purchasing a new pump yesterday with the same results. Every time he goes there to tell them of the SAME problem, they sell him more chemicals, which have the same result, absolutely nothing ! They gladly take his money and give him their "expert" opinions on a solution, which, NONE have worked. His wife just had triple by-pass surgery and I actually called them to beg them to maybe show some good faith and go to his house and see for themselves. I would think that after someone spent that much money, and the advise you have given hasn't done a thing, this would be an option you explored to keep your customer happy. This apparently is out of the question as it isn't something they "normally do". I'm guessing taking someone's money REPEATEDLY is something they will do. Word of mouth is a VERY powerful advertisement tool and I plan on using his experience with the Pool City Store in Robinson, Pa to help anyone I can from making the same mistake when you need ANYTHING for your pool. Your customer service is THE WORST and I can't see how you stay open. read more
