I would say this was the worst Mani/Pedi experience of my life. Everything was fine till I noticed she was putting after shave on my feet. I looked down after she said they were done and it had looked like she spilt the bottle of polish on my nails. The polish was all over my skin and it was a mess. I asked her to please fix it and she said no it looks better this way. I said once again please fix this; this is not what I asked for. She proceeded to take the dremel and burn my skin. Onto my mani.. once again horrible, paint all over my skin and some parts of my nails not even painted. she forgot to put clear coat on some of nails.. My fingers are all dry and flaking.. my fingers hurt to the touch and some of them are bleeding. It looks like a 4-year-old did this and she charged me 60$. I do not recommend going here at all. This place needs to be shut down. read more

I went to Lisa nails salon and was treated badly. In all I paid $90 and got nastiness done, my nails were infected the same night. Pedicure, she only spent 5 mins pedicure. My toe nails were not trim and paint were untidy. Her work is nasty and poorly done, althou she spoke to me nicely but she is racist with how she treated me as a customer. I had to go to another place and paid $50 to fix it. I call her and told her what she did and ahe ignore me and never refunded me.. read more

They are switching locations, so they apologized for the mess in advance. I came in for a gel mani and color change on my toes and was seen right away. It wasn't the fanciest experience I had, but I appreciate them soaking my feet in hot water before changing the color. I also appreciated having my toes and hands worked on at the same time. And you can't beat the price of their gel mani (I think I paid $15). I WILL be back again. read more

To be honest, I will not come in again. I felt very welcomed by the staff but that is about the only thing I enjoyed about the experience. I desperately needed a fill and had to run errands saw this was on my way. Stopped in and the place was a mess, toys every where, old food on folding chairs, cluttered to the max. There were toddlers running around, I felt like I was babysitting. Cut to the nails, I was seated in a pedicure chair to get my acrylics filled, there were no tables, old tools were used etc. My cuticles were cut up and started to bleed. Once the fill was done, they didn't tell me to wash my hands, standard procedure at all nail salons. She started painting my nails. That was fine. However, no dying tools were used she told me to sit until they were dry. While I sat and waited, the kids were running around causing raucous, she proceeded to start on another client. The woman starts cutting her nails and the nail clippings land on my lap, in my purse, everywhere. I wanted to run out and throw up. Fast forwarding to my leaving after the woman tells me my nails are dry. I leave to go run errands like I typically do - TWO hours after leaving I am grocery shopping and every single nails is smudged. Today - I went to my usual nail salon and they fixed my nails, cuticles and re- painted for me. Safe to say I will not return to Lisa's Nails on Hancock ever again. read more

Yelp makes me pick one star to write this but I promise you if I could give zero stars I would in a heartbeat. My one and only experience here was so physically painful (and a little traumatizing) that I haven't been back to a salon in months. The owner yanked my acrylics off by shoving a kinda gross piece of plastic between the plastic and my real nail. The new dip was sloppy, blobby and spotty. The whole time I was there, she (the owner herself) was saying pretty racist stuff about various groups of people & going on and on about how she wants to make her girls (clients) feel "beautiful" yet nothing about my experience nor her "artwork" was beautiful haha. She was definitely rushing and let me know she was squeezing me in between her outside obligations (isn't work your obligation?) but now I know why the place was empty as hell. I could go on and on but honestly I'll save my breath. I just wanted a quiet and relaxing self care day and got all of this bs. Don't go here, truly avoid it at all costs. I went on a recommendation and I've never felt so betrayed in my life. It's been months since my appt and my nail beds haven't recovered. Go treat yourself to something nice elsewhere. read more

They don't know how to file nails. My acrylics were all lifted after 2 days. Don't waste your money there.

Love this place!! They are so nice and friendly and the prices are not too expensive. I love getting a gel mani and getting the paraffin wax glove thing after. It's smells so nice and makes your skin so soft. I love getting a pedi because of the nice massage chairs! I haven't been to Lisa's in years so my sister and I decided to make appointments for gel manicures. Although it had been a while, I knew she'd do a great job because she always does. This time, Lisa's daughter in law did my gel manicure and I was very impressed. I wanted something simple so I went for a French tip gel manicure, but she showed me what it would like if I had Princesses Rule gel color with the French tip gel manicure and I liked the idea! She secretly knew I wanted something cute haha. The highlight of getting my gel mani was when she had me dry both of my thumbs separately because thumbs take the longest to dry. That's never happened at any other nail salon and I think it's a smart idea. Altogether, Lisa's daughter in law did a fantastic job with my gel manicure. Lisa's nails is a small family salon that rocks for a simple mani, pedi or shellac! Their customer service is amazing, and if there was nothing more than that I'd still go back for the great conversations that almost made me feel like we were in a barbershop setting. It's not big frills, and frankly the towels could use an upgrade, but overall a great experience. I went on a weekday afternoon so it wasn't busy, however it does fill up especially on weekends so appointments are recommended. I was looking for a custom shellac design which isn't really their forte, so I was a bit disappointed there (a picture was added to make me think they could get that elaborate.) but aside from that a great pedi, and mani shellac that I left satisfied. Highly recommend for a regular mani/pedi. I'll be back! read more

I literally do not know who is writing these positive reviews and typically I would never leave a negative review for a place, I just wouldn't go back, but this is about people's health and well being and I truly wish that someone had warned me about this place before I walked in. It is FILTHY!!! Beyond filthy. I felt like I was going to get something just from being in there. In hindsight, I very much wish I had thought of some reason on the fly to get out of there. But parking is in the back, you walk around to the front and you're in there. It's kind of hard/awkward to turn around and run out. But, I very much wish I had. I was completely skeeved out. Least of all, my mani was full of bubbles, my cuticles are completely destroyed, a toenail is broken..I went in a rush because I had an event the following day. never again.
