Lots of parking on a Sunday.

Let me start by saying, Li's is a childhood classic favorite for me! The only downside is that I don't live closer to it lol! I've been coming here for so many years and its always sooo good and consistent. I love being able to build my own Mongolian bowl, with a wonderful variety of meats, vegetables and sauces, and then getting to watch the chefs cook it all up on the grill is a great experience. The all you can eat option is so great for people who can eat a lot! You can customize it different ways or go for what you know! I think the price is super affordable for the quality of food, as well as coming with a side of soup and rice. I usually get the lunch options and do take out, but when dining in, the service is incredibly fast and attentive to your table. They are also so nice and kind in here. The casual, welcoming environment makes a great spot for friends and family.

I'm sooo happy that we tried this place!!! Haven't had Mongolian BBQ in like 15 yrs & it was as good as I remembered!!! Service was fantastic. We ordered a bowl 2 go. Then I had 2 ask how it worked since it 's been soooo long since I've gone. The lady was very happy 2 explain 2 me. Then we waited in line & started adding things 2 my bowl. The meat section was good, the veggie section had tons 2 choose from, & the sauces=perfection!!! The place was popping & we decided not 2 eat there due 2 no place 2 sit. We went 2 a parking lot across the street 2 eat this delish meal!!! I will definitely go back!!! Again, super happy that we went outside our comfort zone & tried something new!!!

I have not had Mongolian BBQ in a long time. About $15 for lunch, one bowl. I loaded up on beef with some dark meat chicken and pork. Onions, cilantro, bunch of noodles and oyster sauce. Came off the grill hot, tasted great. I had to work to finish all of the food. Service was good and the restaurant clean.

First time trying it out and only took some to-go. Overall it was satisfying. Would like to come in for AYCE to perfect the sauce combo but with what I made the first time I can't complain. Pretty good options to choose from to add into your bowl. Prices are about the same as any other Mongolian BBQ place I have been to but this is the first I've seen offer Shrimp and imitation crab as a protein option. The dining room was not very busy but it was during the late hours of lunch. I would definitely recommend for a try and would be willing to come back for dine in.

I have been coming to Li's for years, multiple times a month. Their customer service is impeccable as they treat everyone walking in like family! It's a quick and easy process to make your bowl, clean and fresh! Complimentary soup and white rice to go with your Mongolian bowl. The BEST sauce options to choose from, full of flavor-unlike other places I have been to. Their hot and sour soup is my go to, egg drop soup is good as well, but in my option doesn't compare! They also allow for one to-go box if you can't finish, which most places don't. That's a huge plus; because once you pack the bowl full of your favorites, you absolutely want to take the left overs! The restaurant is always clean with lots of open seating. They even offer beer. Hands down the best Mongolian is here.

This is a great spot for some good quality Mongolian BBQ. The food was great and it was a good place to share with friends as well. There was light service to provide refreshments like water, but it is all you can eat and you definitely want to feel like you're getting your money's worth, which is comparable to other Mongolian BBQ spots.

Food was okay. There was NO A/C just a fan, with having the hot flat top to cook it was cooler outside. There was an option for to-go plate but you could t order it make the plate eat there and take it. (Which I kinda understand) but when you don't have a working a/c it would've been nice. Won't go back. For 3 people it was 58 bucks.

Ask the Community - Li's Mongolian BBQ

When time does the weekday take-out lunch bowl prices end?

    Tuesday - Friday 12pm-3pm

How is the portion size for takeout?

It's still an epic portion for sure..You will be full.. It's definitely better eating here as it is with most restaurants I think!!

I want to try this place out is it all you can eat or just one bowl?

At lunch it's one bowl, while at dinner it's all you can eat for a higher price (and more meat choices)

Hi I love Mongolian bbq does this place have thin and thick noodles want to try today please let me know ASAP please and thank you 😊?

Hey there! They have both thin and thick noodles. Definitely recommend the thick noodles, so delicious!

Are you guys open on holiday's.?

We are open on new year day.

Do you have gluten free options?

Not really.. But we have gluten free soy sauce, you can ask servicer to get it :)

Do you still have the House Chicken the Genghis Kitchen had? That was my favorite restaurant

Sorry, we don't have it, we only do the Mongolian bbq now.

Is there a menu to order from or only buffet all can eat stir fry?

We only have Mongolian BBQ, which is like buffet style. You choose all the ingredients you like, then we cook it for you.

Do you have raw eggs to cook with the meat & vegetables ? I've been looking for a Mongolian BBQ that does !! Tried it in another state & was amazing!!

    No,we don’t have raw eggs.

What you order from Li's, do they offer egg rolls & wontons?

No we don’t have egg rolls and wontons. But we have a small salad & fruit bar instead.

Mats need a good rinse, buffet area needs cleaning, sauce containers had a watermark on the inside of them. The flat top/bbq needs more cleaning. All the sauces including the cherry sauce served with the wontons(stale)tasted watered down. Food options were satisfactory but few options for seasoning. My bowl was teriyaki but was adulterated by the take out order being shared on the skillet so it tasted like vinegar and chilli oil. I didn't taste any teriyaki just heat. My meat was also a lil overcooked as my bowl smelled burnt. I was sweating so much from the chilli I couldn't finish. The silver lining was they had an ice cream machine you could partake of a csoft serve cone after dinner. I'm sure many locals love this Mongolian bbq however for the same price there are other options.

At Mongolian BBQ you are the creator of your masterpiece. You get to decide on the protein,…read moreveggies, whether it not you want noodles. Then decide if you are in a sweet and/or savory mood by adding a combination of sauces that are offered. Last night, I grabbed a bowl, and actually, I grabbed two, because I think I have a pretty good method, lol. Since there weren't trays available, I put it under my main bowl until I got to the sauces. I know, you are supposed to start with meat... but I was thinking... what's the best way to stack this bowl with all these ingredients to get the maximum amount in it? I didn't want to start with the meats because they take up a lot of space being bulky and frozen. I actually decided to start with spinach, so that I could then flatten it down with veggies and noodles, then top it with the thin slices of frozen meat. Since it was not busy, it made it easy to start in the middle and go back to the meats at the beginning. You want to build your bowl as high a you can get it because after it is cooked, it reduces in size. *pro tip! Use your hand to smash your ingredients down as you fill your bowl! For sauces, this is where your extra bowl comes into play. I try to fill that bowl at least ¾ of the way with a combination of house sauce, chili oil, garlic chip sauce, ginger water, kung pao, some cooking wine, and water. Andrew, the grill master, offered to help with the sauces if I needed. *don't be afraid to use water! It doesn't water down your flavor, but helps with the streaming/cooking process! At the end, there was an option to add "Twist BBQ Oil" I had to ask Andrew about this and it adds a subtle smokey bbq flavor. It sounded great, so he added it for me. For all the sauces, I like to stir from the bottom then get my scoop. I gave him my creation. He emptied both my bowls into a circular grill and used very long chopsticks to continuously stir and flip the ingredients over a very high heat. While he cooked, Andrew was explaining how some sauces go better with some meats and what it does during the cooking process... I like that he was explaining that by adding this sauce, it's going to help tenderize, by adding this sauce, it is more savory, or this one is more sweet... very smart chef! *Do not forget to tip your chef!! When I sat down, Korina had brought me water, rice, egg drop soup, and some wonton chips with sweet & sour to dip them in. While I was waiting for my bowl to cool off, I noticed there were sides available to add onto your meals. They are buy one get one free (of the same app). I decided to go with potstickers and GK pan. So for both, I actually got double orders (yay, I get to take some home!). The potstickers have pork and were deep fried. They had a great crunch and came with a savory dipping sauce. The GK Pan was crispy and a little on the plain side for me. The egg flower soup was good and I didn't touch my rice (oops, lol). Now that my bowl had cooled off a little, I grabbed my fork (I didn't feel like chopsticks) and this creation, with the help of Andrew, was my favorite creation of all time! It was savory, with just a tiny hint of sweet. Everything was tender! Korina checked up on me a few times and I'm sure what she mostly heard from me was, "Mmmmmm!" So yummy! I'm sure I could've done without the extra appetizers, and been satisfied with my creation, rice, soup, and wonton chips (they put in a little hidden potsticker for you to try! ), but I had to give a couple of the apps a try! I like that they are open until midnight for night owls or people like me who get off work a little later. Service was on point, food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! They played up to date music which I loved! *don't forget to tip your amazing waitress!

I was in the area and craving Mongolian BBQ on a Friday for lunch around 1pm. I walk in and wait at the front for a few minutes until a gal comes out and asks if it was here or to go. I said here so she says to just go ahead and start making my bowl. Surprised that they offered lamb and tofu during lunch time as most places only offered that at dinner. The toppings were full but noticed that many of the veggies had been frozen meaning they weren't real fresh. They had a good selection of sauces that weren't watered down. I especially like the lobster sauce. I also liked that they cleaned the grill before starting mine. I go to find a table and every single table was dirty loaded with dishes! The same gal was ringing up a customer and stopped to tell her Can you wait one moment so I can get her a clean table? I also asked for a drink and that took a little bit. I'm watching her be the ONLY person working besides the two guys running the grill! She was also the cashier and busser! My meal was pretty good. I liked the flavors. The egg drop soup was better than most because I ate the whole thing and it's not my favorite. However the white rice leaves little to me desired. It had some weird taste that I could barely swallow. You also got one pot sticker that was okay. They added appetizers or add-ons like shrimp to the menu also. Price for lunch was very good, $14 and $20 for all you can eat dinner. With how expensive eating out is nowadays, this is a good value. I complained about the bathroom last time and it was decently clean and also the warmest room in the whole place. It was a bit chilly in the restaurant. I was overall pleased with my meal. Service was not great but not her fault. She did pretty good being all by herself. I blame the owners for not getting her help! This was never an option for me before but now I will return as I am Always in this area.

The noodles were flavorful and well-seasoned, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were fresh. Everything tasted great together. However, for $20, I expected a little more. We arrived around 12:30 on a Friday before the lunch rush, but it filled up quickly while we were there. There was a great selection of meats, including beef, chicken, pork, turkey, and tofu, along with plenty of fresh vegetables, sauces, oils, and cooking wine to customize your bowl. I especially liked that they had bok choy, and there were plenty of ways to customize everything. I tend to add a little extra sauce when building my bowl so everything stays flavorful while it's cooking. The service really stood out. The host was also serving, cashiering, and bussing tables, but still took the time to walk my mom through the process since it was her first Mongolian BBQ. She asked if there were any low-sodium sauce options, and while he explained most of the sauces are soy-based, he suggested using garlic, ginger, cooking wine, and oils instead. I appreciated that he took the time to help instead of just pointing to the sauce bar. My husband likes spicy food, and they even offered to have the cook add extra chili oil that's kept behind the counter. I also appreciated that they cleaned the grill before cooking the next customer's bowl and that leftovers can be taken home, since not every Mongolian BBQ restaurant allows that. Lunch also came with a bowl of rice and a pot sticker, and the portions were more than enough for all three of us. I'm glad we gave this place a try and will definitely be back.

Date of Visit: 07/27/2026…read more After visiting the Folsom area we happened upon this gem! I had not visited a Mongolian restaurant in a long time and took a chance having dinner with my family here and boy was it the right choice! Upon walking in, the decor is a bit older, but is is clean and neatly presented. The staff was very friendly and seated us right away. There was a good amount of people in the restaurant so the line to get your food was a bit long, but it moved swiftly and fast. The food bar was well organized, stuffed with various meats (chicken, pork, lamb, beef) and vegetables of all sorts. When handing your bowl to the check to cook, they put on a little show while you wait for your food which makes the wait not seem as long and at the end it is cooked to perfection. Our waitress kept our glasses full with ice cold beverages. Soft drinks are free for refills, however if you get lemonade, it is not. There is a soft service ice-cream bar for dessert after you've eaten. Makes for a nice touch although we decided to get dessert elsewhere. The tab for all 5 of us was about $128. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're looking for fresh food, with great customer service!

He was excited I was a little hesitant because this is a very low key smaller Mongolian barbecue. We had a fabulous lunch the white staff make sure everything is kept tidy because it's such a small quarters that if you drop a little bit of food, it shows up quickly, but they are on it. They have most of the regular items and then extra items like two types of noodles, which I always appreciate it. Husband likes the fat ones so I like the thin ones. What really surprised me was that I have to get to the normal selection of proteins like pork, beef, chicken, and lamb and through the veggies selection area where they also have tofu and pineapple, and pass, they make your own sauce, they have CALAMARI and small SHRIMP on ice right before the cooking station! When you sit at the table, you get great service if you order sodas they're constantly refilled. The dinner service also comes with soup a bowl of steam right rice, some crunchy wonton strips and sweet-and-sour. I was also pleasantly surprised to find out that not only do they have Sriracha, but they also have traditional chili oil that you can order with your meal for flavoring. They still have their soft serve ice cream for afterwards with sprinkles and chocolate strawberry Hershey's syrup. Lunch is a few dollars cheaper than dinner. We went at 4 o'clock, so it was dinner our but dinner you can go and get as many refills as you want. The only caveat is if you do get a refill, you cannot take home leftovers. Which seems fair. Super low-key not fancy but a very, very decent Mongolian barbecue and I will be back!
