Not the same Liquid Leaf of years past. I think the menu has been revamped and it's gotten a lot busier. We went on a Tuesday around 11am and it was packed. Tried the new coffee flight board as the matcha one was sold out as well as the majority of the pastries (go early in the morning if you want pastries). The coffee flight board was a nice way to try different flavors. We all liked the Banana coffee one the best. My son said the regular S'mores drink tastes better than the one on the flight board. Maybe the mix ratio is different? And if you like matcha, the blueberry matcha is a family fave! Note: you cannot order takeout for the flight boards. The Chocolate Chai, holy moly, why don't more places do this?!!! I know! Because most places use a prepackaged powder, Liquid Leaf makes their OWN chai tea!!!! Drinks- some of the best I've ever had, and I am a coffee and matcha snob. On to the food - okay most places do one thing right, food or drinks. The Liquid Leaf - on both!!!!! First, they made three soups (are they trying trying to make me move to the area???) We had all three - the chicken ramen (more like chicken noodle with ramen noodles- but genius), tomato, and French onion. I would get all of them again . Avocado toast- very good, a bit bready- I like thinner crisp bread, but that's just my taste. I would still get it again! Then we topped all this off with a shortbread cookie with raspberry jam in between - one of the best cookies I've ever had. Plus, some people in our party also got the real fruit smoothies and loved them. Reading this and thinking I'm being over the top? Just try it, you wont be disappointed! Only suggestion is try not to go close to closing, or call ahead so you aren't trying to order a drink 5-10 minutes before. i was really disappointed by this place today. i ordered the chicken pesto panini & a honey cinnamon matcha. my bf got a latte. first of all it was hard to be comfortable, very overwhelming & no airflow in a busy kitchen on a sunday morning so it was really hot, like a heater to me. i was looking forward to the sandwich, as its advertised as "freshly made everyday". it was literally just canned chicken with waaay too much mayo + cheese. tasted like a poorly made tuna sandwich. i couldn't even stomach the few bites that i had, it was pretty horrible & i was surprised others took a liking to it. my bf finished it for me, knowing i wasn't going to eat not even half of it. i tried enjoying the matcha, as i've tried matcha from maaany different places. total miss. my bf didn't even finish his latte either as he said it was "watery". pretty flavorless as well. i've never left a matcha barely touched before. unfortunate experience. read more
