The Liquid Leaf is THE spot!! Right off the bat, the ambiance was great. It was nicely decorated, lots of tables and I saw a few outlets too! I would say this spot is a gift to Murrieta, but since I'm from out of town, I would go so far as to say it's a gift to So Cal! The Sparkling Matcha was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, a hint of decadence with the splash of condensed milk (OMG genius addition, haven't seen this anywhere else), and very refreshing. The Chocolate Chai, holy moly, why don't more places do this?!!! I know! Because most places use a prepackaged powder, Liquid Leaf makes their OWN chai tea!!!! Drinks- some of the best I've ever had, and I am a coffee and matcha snob. On to the food - okay most places do one thing right, food or drinks. The Liquid Leaf - on both!!!!! First, they made three soups (are they trying trying to make me move to the area???) We had all three - the chicken ramen (more like chicken noodle with ramen noodles- but genius), tomato, and French onion. I would get all of them again . Avocado toast- very good, a bit bready- I like thinner crisp bread, but that's just my taste. I would still get it again! Then we topped all this off with a shortbread cookie with raspberry jam in between - one of the best cookies I've ever had. Plus, some people in our party also got the real fruit smoothies and loved them. Reading this and thinking I'm being over the top? Just try it, you wont be disappointed! Only suggestion is try not to go close to closing, or call ahead so you aren't trying to order a drink 5-10 minutes before. Although it specializes in a broad scope of interesting teas, I'm a coffee drinker. The coffee of the day was was wonderful, smooth and clean but with lots of flavor. No 'burn' taste or bitterness like Starbucks (I don't add sweeteners to my coffee to hide that nastiness). It was also served in a very civilized, tall, handled glass.
